YouTubeTV (1 Viewer)

If you start to cancel they immediately hold off the $10 increase until July. Just did it.
Saw it on a FB group
I either did something wrong or they stopped doing this, because it didn't work for me.
Didn't work for me either. And I actually found a YouTube tutorial that showed all the steps it goes through until the offer comes off. I definitely made it to the final "cancel" page, without an offer coming up.

They pulled the plug on that one right quick. It must've spread like wildfire.
I just did it moments ago, and received an email confirmation that I have activated the promo savings. I guess the proof will be with my next payment installment.
I just did it too and it worked for me. Like you said, we will see when the bill comes.

Now with this increase, I hope they can get it together to bring the regional Bally's sports network.
@Al Czervik , they don't have MLB or NHL. I don't think Bally's is coming anytime soon.
Yes, I don't think Bally's is coming back anytime soon, if ever. That's a mess with their bankruptcy anyway. Would be nice to get MLB back.

Did either of you have a previous offer utilized through them? The term details stated it that if someone had participated in any other YTTV promo offer that they wouldn't be eligible for this.

Not sure if that's the case, just spitballin' on a possible reason.
I had a promo deal when I first signed up several years ago but nothing recently. I actually got hosed trying to do this, because I went all the way through to cancellation hoping the offer would pop up and it let me cancel without it ever showing up. So then I had to reenroll at the new rate 3 weeks earlier than I would have otherwise. :wall:

Yep I got a confirmation that an offer was activated for my account but the account still shows the new number. Will find out for sure next month like you said.

This is the biggest reason I went to the dark side. Very few of the the streamers had Bally's and I couldn't watch any Twins (fan), Royals, Cardinals, Cubs, White Sox or Brewers games because of the stupid black out rules even though the closest team is 4 hours from me.

Going up by $10/month next month. Ugh.
Whatever. I'm cancelling as soon as the Bills' season ends, just like last year.

This is what I do. Right after the SB.Pick it up again next year, week 1.

We don’t watch very much TV during the summer months. I don’t even get the NFL package, I just watch my boys lose on the local channels most of the time.
Yup, I really only have a need for live tv (i.e. Redzone) during fantasy season, and then a couple months for the NBA playoffs. So all in all, only half the year. It works for me.

Sigh

So now YouTube TV is in a slap fight with Paramount. After today, ~20 channels will no longer be available. This is CBS, etc., so bye bye to some of March Madness.
I think - emphasis on think - that TBS, TNT, Tru will still be available, so most games, certainly for the early rounds.

It's getting to the point where I might go back to cable.

Different cable providers have similar issues from time to time, but your point remains. It's getting ridiculous. As a fellow youtube t.v. subscriber this also means further fragmentation of NFL casts, as we won't get the CBS games unless until they resolve their dispute. Which particularly sucks for me as a Charger fan as most of their games are on CBS, and since I'm in the local market, NFL ticket isn't an alternative. So I'd have to subscribe to parammount+ to get them.

Here's the list, according to Joe Pompliano: https://x.com/JoePompliano/status/1890055782139621409

So I just signed up for a free trial. I'm tired of my Comcast bill. This will probably save only about a hundred bucks a month, but so far I'm really liking the YouTube TV. I know it's not really cutting the cable completely, but the four game thing alone is awesome. And the thing I like is I can add and delete packages with a click of a button unike freaking cable right now.

The only thing I don't like is I can't click channel up or down with my current remote. That's the only thing right now

Yeah, and not being able to go to a channel directly was the biggest adjustment. You get used to being able to navigate the guide quickly thought. And it's a blessing that you can change the order of the guide to suit your desires.

So almost a month in and a couple quirks I still am not getting used to.

The biggest one for my wife is not able to sort available movies by release date.

She can do it if she goes into each movie channel but if you go into home movies you can't sort by date

All that being said, I have everything I had on Xfinity channel wise, have 1 gigabit internet and my bill is $152 cheaper than Xfinity. I did buy a modem and a fire stick. So month one is a wash.

I was told after my 6 months is up to cancel and they might offer it again for 6 more months. I know I could have dropped a couple boxes on my cable but having to call was a pia. Just jumping in my subscriptions and adding removing is so much easier.

The best part is the family sharing so our preferences are tied to our email logins so we don't fight over recordings etc

It’s great. We have subscribed for he past two fall/winters. We don’t watch much TV during the summer so I pick it up week 1 of the NFL season and cancel it after the SB.

I do the same thing, although now I wish I had it for NASCAR lol. Used to keep it through the NBA playoffs but after this year's disaster I haven't watched a single NBA game. Saves me Mar/Apr/May/June of cost!

I do similar, with the added perk that my son moved out of state a couple of years ago and he can use the service to watch the local sports teams

Unless Xfinity is markedly different in your neck of the woods, this just isn't true. Xfinity had the MLB and NHL networks. YouTube TV doesn't.
Perhaps you meant to say you have everything you wanted from Xfinity.

Do you mean he's got access to the local versions of the major networks (i.e., your hometown CBS and Fox that show the local teams)? Or does your version of YouTube have a regional sports network as well. (FYI, Xfinity carried our regional sports network. I supplement YouTube with a standalone subscription to it now.)

Don't get me wrong, YouTube TV is still better than Xfinity pricewise. I also like the 2x2 box with college football and basketball games, the DVR capabilities and some other features. But it's refusal to carry some pretty major channels irks me. I know they carry the NFL network. I'm not sure if they carry the NBA (never had any reason to look). But missing NHL and MLB sucks donkey balls.

Local versions of the major networks, so he can watch the Lions games on Fox and CBS even though he's living in California now. I don't think YouTubeTV has any affiliation with regional sports networks.

True MLB and NHL are part of the sports tier package on Xfinity you pay separately for. I never watched those. They used to have MLB Network on YTTV but currently don't, hopefully they come back

They do have nbatv.....I never watch

However I get b1g and sec as part as base plan that I had to pay extra for on Xfinity that I do watch

If you have any Chase credit cards, they have been running monthly offer promotions for $20 off YoutubeTV for quite a few months running. Just have to login and then go to their offers page and click on it to activate it.

Looks like it's gone. I can get fubotv :(

Now that march madness and the masters is over, I'm pausing for the summer. No MLB...not much else to watch. I don't watch news or much else. I'll put that $80 towards something else.

Yeah, may have run out. I did see that American Express is now running a similar promotion though good for 2 monthly payments saving $20 each.

I'm reading about people getting another $10 a month discount through the end of the year. I'm not seeing it yet, maybe because my billing is July 1st?
Apparently, going to membership, then hit manage (on computer only, not the app) brings you to the offer. Last time you had to attempt to cancel, I hit the first cancel but didn't want to go further by hitting "Continue Cancelling"

Thanks! just went to the page and activated my offer for $10 off each month for 6 months. That was easy.

Hmmm...didn't work for me. I didn't get an offer. Only things are to pause or cancel.

I'm already on a discounted deal so I doubt I get another $10 off LOL. Really like the new multi-view channels they added
Apparently some people that got the last one got this one too
Gawd dam it. I tried and got to the tipping point. Sat and wondered if I should go through with one more bluff. Googled for answers, most of which were from 6 months ago. Googled some more.

Finally said **** it and bluffed one last time because the "reason" screen never did come up and I figured it must be coming.

I just got cancelled. Son of a *****.

Worked for me, thanks!

Worked for me. Membership > Manage and there it was. I didn't have to click on Cancel or anything else. Just clicked on 'Agree' next to the proposed discount and done. Pretty easy.

I also got the $10 off per month for 6 months as well, and I didn't have to click any cancel buttons either. It was just there when I clicked "Manage" like others have said. Thanks @jamny!

Just tried it and nothing came up. I guess I am not a lucky one.
Wife just got on the live chat with YTTV and got a $5/month discount for 12 months. Same total off as the $10 for 6 months....so maybe luck is turning.

PS - @belljr and @Drunken knight what's up with liking my post for being unlucky. I may start to take offense to that...haha

I still haven't gotten it yet. Maybe they're rolling it out slowly
How often are you trying to go back to it?
I just went once yesterday and today.
