good to hear about the ankle

Yeah, I can see that comparison. Presses the hole with patience... not sure you can coach that into a guy.Looks like Emmitt out there. Was gutting it out like Emmitt, too.
yeah i traded him on friday. I originally offered the other owner gio and they said no theyd rather have stacy. I was stunned and couldnt say yes fast enough. Joke is on me afterallTraded him for Harvin before the Panthers game. Oops.
Some guys just have it, and get that chance to shine and never look back.Sooooo...
Emmitt Smith, Ray Rice, and MJD? That where we're at?
Stacy might be a bigger sell high than Andre Ellington.
Yea he's definetely a sell high... however i think thats too much mix matching with comps. He only compares to Rice/MJd in body style, but i would say his vision would be comparable to Emmitt. That's about as far as i'd go... and you could do that with a lot of backs picking out one trait to another. I don't think he will be as good as any of them but he's really impressive to me and i definetely would try to sell high if i could... just not for pennies though this kid has talentSooooo...

It came from you... no?Yeah i have no clue where that mcl blurb came from. Probably a mistake
Well, this is still something to keep in mind regarding Stacy. Any Rams' homers have any insight into the kind of drop-off we can expect from Dahl to Smith?Harvey Dahl is the MCL issue.
Harvey Dahl - G - Rams
Rams RG Harvey Dahl suffered an MCL injury in Monday's loss.
According to coach Jeff Fisher, the severity of Dahl's injury is still unknown. A torn MCL could cost Dahl up to six weeks. The Rams will go with Shelley Smith in the interim. Dahl is the No. 30 guard in Pro Football Focus' ratings.

Low-ankle sprain for Rams RB Zac Stacy. Good news for the kid, who played well last night
http://www.stlouisrams.com/media-center/videos/Head-Coach-Jeff-Fisher-Press-Conference/400094a0-2136-4a30-89cb-0e953f02b1c1Am I the only one concerned that they are still "running tests" on Stacy's ankle? I'm hoping we don't have a foot issue here.
zac stacy=134 yards against a tough Sea d that stuffed up ellington the week before, and also had extra days off.Fantasy Football in a nutshell right thereYour week 8 rushing leaders:
Andre Ellington 154 yards
Zach Stacy 107 yards
Terrelle Pryor 106 yards
agreed totally, I remember that exact play, pretty stupid and basically why STL lost, or part of it. Redzone scoring and inability to put the ball in endzone at goalline.Adrenaline and the ankle not stiffening up until after the game is over got him back on the field. Hopefully he wakes up and it's not too bad. I sprained my ankle once playing hoops. Laced up the shoes tighter and finished another game. The next morning I couldn't even walk. But he's got professionals taking care of his injuries, I'm sure he'll get the best treatment to insure low downtime.
When it was 1st and goal from the 6 earlier in the game, they gave it to him and he ran it to the 3 I believe. Then for whatever reason they got cute and called 2 straight passing plays, eventually getting sacked on 3rd down. I don't understand why they did that. 2nd and goal from the 3. 4 down territory. There was no way Seattle was stopping him with 3 straight runs (if needed).
I think Tuesday after MNF is just a "slow news day" for the team. So they have to hold a news conference, but, there's nothing to really report. Real info will be Weds/Thurs practice session info.Am I the only one concerned that they are still "running tests" on Stacy's ankle? I'm hoping we don't have a foot issue here.
I would not be surprised if they use a 4th-6th round pick on a 195 pound receiving back to give Stacy third-down blows. Richardson third RB in case something happens to Stacy. They should spend their assets wisely to improve the OL and WR corps. Bradford is not going anywhere, so it isn't time to spend capital on another QB either.(meant to put in this thread in the first place, so cross-posted from the other one)...
he looks powerful and niftier feet than the little i saw of him in college...
I think he led SEC in rushing last year (?), but not sure if lacy missed time?
he can break arm tackles by DL, and in the second and third level, defenders tend to get knocked back when he hits them...
handy traits to have for a RB!
not sure they won't draft a RB next year, with the two firsts...
but it looks like OL and safety are more pressing needs (some would say QB)...
these days you need two RBs... maybe in later round (they might get a good QB or RB with what should be a high second).
RB looks like a lot less pressing need in the past 3-4 weeks. if they prioritize other positions in 2014, I feel a whole lot more comfortable the position could be in good hands than before Stacy burst onto the scene.
Read the thread. Here was your answer:Why did he sit at the end of the game at the goal line?
He came back in. Then ran left to play a wide out.Did I miss something? I didn't see him come back in.Yeah, that is disappointing.Ankle injury. Now just worried about next week. As long as it isn't a high ankle sprain.
Nevermind, back in.
Yeah, I own the guy and I've got to admit this is more than a little wacky. Trying to call for Emmitt Smith vision this early is a bit silly. Did Emmitt even need vision behind that o-line anyway? But Rice ran a 4.42 at the combine and MJD ran a 4.39. There are plenty of extremely successful RBs who are/were 4.5 or 4.6 guys, so Stacy can certainly be successful at this level, but these comparisons are lazy. Given his performance against Seattle, I think selling him might be hard to do. But I totally agree on Ellington, though. Maybe I'm making lazy comparisons now, but he seems like a poor man's Jerious Norwood. Not because of size or appearance (Norwood was bigger), just a guy that did well in a limited role but never expanded beyond that. For ever scat back turned feature back there are 30 more scat backs that never get a chance. Mewelde Moore was probably a better NFL back than Ellington and he never got a feature role...Sooooo...

You got your series mixed up. The Rams only got to the goal line twice. Both times in the 4th. First one was 1st and goal from the 6. Stacy carried it to the 3. 2nd down was a play action fake, incomplete pass/penalty that was declined. 3rd down was empty set pass play, sack. The next time they got to the goal line was when Stacy was injured and he came in for the 4th down play, again an empty set pass play.ok, so he hurt his ankle, got back in, but on the last two plays of the game, with everything on the line, he could not go on?
Earlier in the game he was pulled at the GL for Daryl Richardson, who incidentally didn't score then either. Was that also after the injury?
So in one game at the GL twice Daryl Richardson gets the call without scoring.
I hope my concern is misplaced but it sure seems odd - also in light of the news that the injury is minor.
My main issues with both guys (redraft) are the team situations, which will make consistent production super hard to achieve. AZ and STL have horrid offensive lines.Yeah, I own the guy and I've got to admit this is more than a little wacky. Trying to call for Emmitt Smith vision this early is a bit silly. In dynasty, people see a young RB have a big breakout game and immediately start going nuts, tossing around absurd comparisons, and assuming that these guys are the next big thing. Sometimes they are; usually they're not. If you can get "breakout young stud" value for a guy fairly likely to be a blip on the radar / short term situational value type, then that's a great move IMO. The times you make out like a bandit will end up outweighing the times you gave up a true long term asset. By a ton.
Hopefully Fisher learns from this....You got your series mixed up. The Rams only got to the goal line twice. Both times in the 4th. First one was 1st and goal from the 6. So your concern is mislead. He was only out on the true goal line plays because of injury. What we should be more concerned about is why the Rams use an empty set pass formation in short yardage situations twice, both times resulting in unblocked pass rushers coming on off the right side.

He believes in God. I like him even better.Zac Stacy just tweeted this (https://twitter.com/ZSTACY_/status/395546297911869440); his only tweet since the game:

Football Outsiders has St. Louis rated their #8 run blocking line so far this year. That's not horrid. And this was only through the first 4 games, but PFF had them 6th overall. My main issues with both guys (redraft) are the team situations, which will make consistent production super hard to achieve. No mention of the ankle? And he gave it standing up.
Depends on what you can get, obviously, but IMO now is a pretty good time to sell on a guy like Stacy IMO. First, I'm personally not convinced that he's absolutely good enough to hold down a major role long term. I like what I see thus far, but need more convincing. Obviously that's a subjective tipping point.Yeah, I'd sell both in redraft for a solid player. My main issues with both guys (redraft) are the team situations, which will make consistent production super hard to achieve. In dynasty, I'd hold onto Stacy unless I could find someone who think he's Ray Rice or MJD. Most reasonable people don't think so. Even those who do, don't expect to pay that much for him. So he's probably a case where he has more value to the owner than to his potential trade partners. His team is not good, yet he's producing. His team will probably be better next year and they've got too many needs to replace someone of Stacy's caliber.
Ellington I'd sell in dynasty for just about anything of value unless I was desperate for a flex play this year.
Based on college performance and combine, I had him #1 pre draft. With what sample size? His college performance? Just curious what kind of observable metrics you're using to make that call...I'm still on the train. Still think he was the best back in this draft. Richardson is no slouch, so he will be 1B in this RBBC.
I suppose it matters how you viewed Stacy from the start. I thought he was the best back in draft, yet he is still exceeding my expectations. I thought he would have a much tougher time overtaking DR, but I am not surprised by his performance. He is a buy IMO.Sooooo...

Tom Brady and Terrell Davis say hi.and every franchise passing on the guy time after time is a massive and legitimate reason to temper expectations.
