Van Gundy does this shtick a couple of times a broadcast. His commentary is bad for the game.“Thats bad for the game!!”
Who caused the ball to go out of bounds. So how do you adjust the rule to give the refs the discretion to award the ball to the Suns there?
If it's technically correct, then how awful can it be?I guess technically correct but what an awful call.
Elam Ending. It's time. If the game were being designed now, there's no way in hell the end of games would end this way.End of NBA games are already brutal, with 33 timeouts making the last two minutes last 19 minutes in real time and now we add a bunch of reviews into the mix.
It can be awful for the game while being correct, hence a lot of people saying "This is bad for basketball". Very similar to watching WRs have the ball move ever so slightly and people cry "no catch".If it's technically correct, then how awful can it be?I guess technically correct but what an awful call.
Yeah, that won't open up a can ofWho caused the ball to go out of bounds.
More awful would be leaving it for humans to decide the root "cause" of out of bounds plays now. The only one who wants that is Geico. It can be awful for the game while being correct, hence a lot of people saying "This is bad for basketball". Mark Jackson is getting there. Can you imagine if TNT had the West and Marv was calling this?
At least they got it rightI now know how people felt watching the 1972 Olympic Gold Medal game.
I remember it well....I now know how people felt watching the 1972 Olympic Gold Medal game.
I Feel like the Russians just won

We'll just disagree here. It's a slippery slope down both sides. I'd rather err on the side that doesn't suck the entire momentum out of games. The ending of these incredible games have been pretty painful when it comes down to using HD cameras to determine if the last piece of epidermis is on one player or another.More awful would be leaving it for humans to decide the root "cause" of out of bounds plays now. They certainly weren’t officiating with a lot of confidenceRefs are so lost
Did they? It seems like we all lost numerous times there. It's an entertainment product and (for as good as the basketball portion was) it just wasn't enjoyable to watch the ending of that game.At least they got it right
Thought I recalled someone was at this game. How were the delays live?Man what a finish. Best finish I've seen live. Great play call by Monty. That Book screen
Campaign distracting PG13 FTs from the 3 point line
Who'd a thought Campaign would be dominating in the conference finals.
I don’t know what game you were watching, but that was pure fun.Did they? It seems like we all lost numerous times there. It's an entertainment product and (for as good as the basketball portion was) it just wasn't enjoyable to watch the ending of that game.
#ElamEnding
Replay reviews just killed the game for me. Glad it didn't destroy it for you. The bball portion was excellent.I don’t know what game you were watching, but that was pure fun.
