I poked around and didn't see this getting discussed so am starting a thread of its own. If it belongs someplace else, my apologies.
My wife works at a national healthcare company that has clearly stated that people have until a defined date to be completely vaccinated and have their proof of vaccination filed with and ok'd by HR.
Today is supposed to be the final day and starting Monday, those that are not vaccinated are (allegedly) going to be terminated . . . but there are still 30,000 employees that are either not vaccinated or who have not yet filed their paperwork.
I can't imagine that they could let that many people go and still be able to have a functioning company. My guess is they will extend the deadline. But given that there are so many folks unvaccinated (and many that flat out have no interest), Given that it involves patient care, I am not sure they can possibly enforce it. It's not like you can have sick and infirmed people treating themselves.
What have people seen going on for other companies?
