***Official Donald J. Trump Impeachment (Whistleblower) Thread*** (7 Viewers)

Sondland at 9am est.

I can’t recall a witness testifying in such a high stakes hearing as this and nobody seems to have any idea as to what he will say.
I think it will come down to self-preservation. He’s not a patriot. He’s not going to do it because it’s the right thing. He’s going to do what’s best for him. If he decides to lay his trust in Trump, there’s no telling what will happen. He might lie, not show up or plead the fifth. But if he decides to spill the beans because he doesn’t trust Trump, the floodgates could be opened.

His lies just scratch the surface. Dozens of allegations of sexual assault and rape, running a fraudulent university, involvement in a tax fraud scheme, using campaign money to pay off a porn star, had his charity shut down for fraud, and is an unindicted co-conspirator in a criminal case where his personal attorney is sitting in jail.
It really is mind-blowing. What's more likely?

A. Donald J. Trump, as President, is acting like Donald J. Trump did for the first 70 years of his life

or

B. 99% of the Intelligence community, hundreds of career public servants, and all of the media outside of Fox is just out to get this one innocent man that's just trying to serve the public (those last 3 words, again, being a reversal of everything he's done for the first 70 years).

I have an idea. He is going to say “whoops I missed a few details last time but now that these boatloads of testimony are in front of me, I now remember.” He doesn’t want to go to jail.

I don't.  Trump can lie all he wants as long as he keeps helping America prosper.  Lying about the size of a crowd is much different than lying that the President colluded with a foreign country.

Of course Vindman is a registered Democrat.  He is the leaker who talked with the whistleblower.  Pure shenanigans.
Point one may or may not be fact and I dont care to look, but it has no relevance to what happened here.

Point two isn't fact though. So stop pretending you care about facts. You dont. You only care about whatever spin is effective enough, so you can justify to yourself keeping him in office.

If both are facts they are still irrelevant

Jesus isn't a Republican. A lot of Americans are going to be surprised to find that out, if they make it to the Pearly Gates.

Why did Morrison go to Eisenberg?

"Rep. Demings nails it on Morrison going to NSC lawyers after the July 25 call:

Q. What is it you wanted the legal office to be aware of specifically?

Morrison won't give a straight answer."

He did give a straight answer. He said that once he realized that no one from legal was on the phone call, as they usually would be, he alerted them of the call.

I think it's pretty clear that Vindman was one of the people to bring attention to the call to the WB and that the unnamed IC person he spoke to was the WB.

It is irrelevant though.

SOND AND FURY:

Gordon Sondland has the power to upend the impeachment narrative today. He can elaborate on the damning testimony others have attributed to him — or he can try to put the genie back in the bottle.

If he really wants to throw everything in the air, he should come testify, and then plead the 5th....

Do you believe the transcript was moved to the classified sever by mistake.

The only thing worse for Trump in the court of public opinion than Sondland telling the whole truth is Sondland pleading the Fifth.

I still don’t think either of those two things will happen.  My guess is Sondland pretends to have a bad memory.

I predict lots of answers peppered with talking points ("Of course we asked them to announce an investigation....but there was no pressure!") Then the Republicans can use Sondland's own words to claim that Trump has been totally exonerated, as if the witness's determination of guilt or innocence ("He didn't use the word 'bribery'!") is all that matters.

But it’s estimated all the way up to .4% already.  From .3%.  Yay?
That's a huge 33% increase from last week.  I think q4 will end up just over 1%, but there's a possibility it could be negative. In any event, it's unprecedented to cut taxes, have low interest rates and an increasing budget deficit  in such a great economy. These are the 3 amigos that should worry the GOP. A sinking economy could make this impeachment inquiry irrelevant for 2020.

I predict that all of the folks in here having their hopes up for some bombshell testimony by Sondlund are going to be severely disappointed.  At the end of the day, Tim will post in here like in the Russia thread that this hoax is over with and it is just best for the Dems to accept defeat and to move on and try and focus on the 2020 election.

:lmao: at your new avatar, you shameless hussy.

That makes sense.  The muddy the waters defense.

He’s going to try to not only protect himself but also protect Trump.

Yikes bad timing for this post.

And Mike Pompeo knew about it as well. And he’s got emails to prove it.

Well Don’t Noonan you’re right. It wasn’t just one bombshell. It’s about a dozen. JFC

I guess they will try to assassinate Sondland’s character. Not sure how though. He’s not a Trump hater. He gave the guy a million dollars.

This is John Dean only worse. How huge was that Roger Stone conviction? I think it must have scared the hell out of him.
