I thought Arsenal was the better team through most of that first game, especially the first half like you say. but Liverpool turned the screws and that was that.

only looking at the score, seems like the same might be happening here?
Feels like maybe Liverpool deserve to be up 1-0, but they took two of their three shots on goal.

Liverpool are going to be a half point back of City with nine to play.

Post match looks like 1.00 to .55 for Liverpool.  So definitely a little fortunate to win by two.  Maybe a little fortunate to avoid a draw.

Not feeling good about the Revs CCL game tonight, mostly because of Turner's back up.  He is the classic MLS journeyman keeper.  One game you say "how come this guy never started in the league?" and then the next "oh, that is why".

After watching NYCFC almost implode last night, I am nervous about an early goal.  I still think one away goal wins this though.

I was amazed at how well Revs dominated that game. It wasn't the usual home game vs Mex team with maybe even at best play, smuggling in some goals and holding on... we said it at the time, but they could/should've had 4-7 in a controlled start to finish performance. Will it change THAT much down there? I mean... it shouldn't, even if they give up some goals.

I hope!

Missing Turner and both starting CB's is scary though.  The only player I thought played poorly for the Revs in the first leg was Omar Gonzalez and he has to start again tonight because of injuries.

Sitting on a plane waiting to back out from the gate after a sick passenger ...watching NCAA women's tourny semis betw Rutgers v FL state. No idea if this is live, but these women and teams are really, really good. the women's game used to feel so slow, but im Super impressed with the skills and pace of the game.

Seattle showing the Revs how it's done.  Now up 4-0 aggregate with a half to play.  Has to be one of the best results an MLS side has ever achieved.

it is right up there at the top.  They are doing this with out their two best players as well.  If they can get healthy, they should be a favored against NYCFC (especially when poor NY has no home game).

Barca dominant in El Classico. Real Madrid defense is a circus right now.
It's been nice to see.  A bit frustrating that we finally get this version of Dembele for Barcelona when he can walk out the door for free this summer.  Better late than never.  Barca need a third, though.  Their defense has not inspired confidence this season.

What a miss from Torres. Woof.

Second time's a charm.  Lovely backheel from Auba to put it on a pedestal for him.

Torres could/should have had 3 already... all on a pedestal.

strange game... I wouldn't necessarily say Barca are dominating, it's just all been so open and poorly defended.

eta: Frankie is a guy who seems to be thriving under Xavi

Agreed.  Just to add to the weirdness, Barca net a fourth thanks to VAR and Madrid stopping at the flag going up instead of playing to the whistle.

and what's interesting- they're beating RM at their own, direct game.

up until the last few minutes, it's been very little Tiki, mostly just atTacka.

posted in the wrong thread as I was incredulous.

How unlikely is it to pull this off in succession?

miss WC - win Euro's - miss WC
