interesting. Used to love Codeine. (well, I still do. But I used to love the band ... saw them 2 or 3 times in Pgh in 92/93/94). Low was hit and miss but I liked some of their stuff....I need to dig more on this New Year poop.

A few guys here are pretty up on them. I liked a couple tunes off the last album, but was surprised at how solid the previous one was after a recent re-listen.

For things like this, we had this criteria:- Any version (album, single edit, radio edit, remix etc.) of a song will be allowed, including live versions, but you must be able to produce the version of the song you select on your final mixtape, and once the song is taken in any form, it is off the board.So if it can be found as its own song, it's good.

I am just speaking from my experience in previous drafts but we had previously been pretty strict that the whole track as featured on the officially released CD has to be included (i.e. you can't just include a portion of the track). I'll let NV chime in though since he's commish.

I was crucified for taking this in round 1 of the "black music draft".

As well you should be. An amazing song by an amazing artist but it's not even one of the top 25 hip-hop songs of all time, let alone a top 25 song by a black artist of all time.

If it's the #1 or #2 song by a black artist in the 00s (EDIT - and accoriding to P4K, the best song of the entire decade), does it not have a place in the top tier of all time?

Never liked Radiohead, didn't like Green Day's later albums but I think Modest Mouse is the second greatest band of all time, so I got that going for me. This is going to be very interesting...
