Guys this contest will be decided by the RB position. RB's get points per reception. I may not have much else but I have Tomlinson and Edge. Two of the best pass catching backs in football. They will carry me...
Until you get bounced in one of their bye weeks because you have nobody else on your roster to score points.

QB-J.Dellomme/$10 :hophead: Went QBBC value approach, since passing TD's QB-J.McCown/$8 are only worth 4pts,QB's who can put up rushing yardsQB-D.Carr/$6 are an advantage. All fit this criteriaRB-D.Staley/$37 :hophead: Three solid starters and two who will see plentyRB-C.Brown/$32 of playing time.Important factor is they all catch passesRB-B.Westbrook/$31 at 1pt per rec this is a mandatory criteriaRB-S.Jackson/$11RB-M.Williams/$6WR-A.Johnson/$31 :hophead: Looked for team #1 starters and #2's with WR-D.Branch/$13 upside that have big game potential any given weekWR-L.Fitzgerald/$11 Position with the most available value at the low endWR-C.Rogers/$9WR-D.Bennett/$4WR-A.Davis/$4WR-E.Parker/$2PK-M.Anderson/$5 :hophead: Kickers are a crapeshoot but Anderson is PK-J.Kasay/$4 golden as Minn's kicker and Kasay is solid and on a team that will visit the red-zone often.TE-F.Jones/$7 :hophead: Lot's of looks, great upsideTE-J.Witten/$7DEF-Baltimore/$9 :hophead: Top defence in Balt, should dominate,a DEF-Seattle/$3 week to week diference maker. Sea is a sleeper with some great matchups against a lot of offensively challenged teams The two factors that I felt was a must criteria was that every position had to have (with the exception being at WR due to the amount of players available any given week),was NO! same week byes in any position catagory and as many early season byes as possible. The logic being that as the competition is reduced, the weekly cutoff number is ETREMMELY! important, the percentages highly favor the team with the more available scoring options, especially after week 7  Let the games begin-WrckingCrew

So are the rules still the same as the officially posted rules? So if only 8,000 ended up joining, does that mean we all get a free pass to week 4?.......The weekly cutoffs are as follows:Week 1 trim to 12,000 teams (all advance if we have less entries)Week 2 trim to 10,000 teamsWeek 3 trim to 8,000 teamsWeek 4 trim to 6,000 teamsWeek 5 trim to 5,000 teams

Where do I find out who I picked? The contest page doesn't show me.
I agree! There was no statement suggesting that we "write our picks down or print our selection page because we will not have access to view our selections after the contest closes".

What the hell does that mean?I didn't over-analyze this, as you seem to have done. I checked out the page a few times, changed some picks, and moved on. I don't remember being reminded to print anything. The last thing I'd do is piggyback someone's contest entry we all have little chance of winning. Sheesh.

Earlier in this thread Dodds said the actual count was around 10,300 or so. That means everyone makes it past week 1 and most will make it past week two. Then the bye weeks start in week 3.....

Earlier in this thread it was suggested that all of the teams would be posted with the week 1 scores. I believe this is what they did last year. They have to put all of that info in a Database and they just closed it down last night....this takes a little time. Patience young grasshopper....you will see your team soon!

I guess they were thinking people wanting to know their lineups would print them out - goes to show they give some FBGs too much credit...

I see a lot of the same players being chosen. I wonder what the chance is of two teams having the same players. Here's mine:QB's - $32Trent Green $18Josh McCown $8David Carr $6 (this one seems like a no-brainer)RB's - $83Chris Brown $32Quentin Griffin $20Julius Jones $15Steven Jackson $11Willis McGahee $5WR's - $91Javon Walker $22Jerry Porter $21Brandon Lloyd $17Justin McCareins $14Charles Rogers $9 (another no-brainer)Kelley Washington $6Eric Parker $2 (could be a steal)TE's - $15Daniel Graham $11Jerramy Stevens $4K's - $15Mike Vanderjagt $8Jason Elam $7(consistent points for cheap)Def's - $14Baltimore $9 (could be a big drop from here to Carolina. OK crap I forgot to write down my team and the submission page is closed lol....can we see our teams still somewhere. ( out week 1)

Here's my team - first timer, so rip it apart!

QBs - went for consistant high scores at a value with Green, and think BJohnson was great value and JDelhomme was good value. Didn't watch bye weeks and so Green will have to carry me through week 3.RBs - Started with SAlexander, and kept cutting when I needed more $$ for other positions, ended up with JLewis as my "stud" Hopefully he will play all year. Still, spent quite a bit here with Brown and Westbrook (1 pnt per rec.). Wheatley may not get a lot, but hopefully a good game here and there, and JJones for later in the year.WRs - Went for extreme value/extremely cheap. RWilliams should come on for the Lions, DDriver will get a fair amount of catches and could blow up here and there, Clayton I'm not too sure about, was flip flopping him and DBennett and probably woulda switched it back if I had more time - I hope McCardell stays out or gets traded. Davis should get a fair amount of looks from Garcia. Hilliard and Engram for value, and KJohnson should get what Heap leaves over for him.TEs - I think Kliensasser will be used a lot this year, and Smith should get looks with Owens clearing out the DF.PKs - KBrown cause Hous. should put up good Offensive numbers, and MAnderson as a late addition when he got picked up by Minn.DF - Went for Minn - vastly improved DF, and ballhawking, and KC - hopefully Hall can run a few back just when I need a big score from someone.Did I do good???? I guess we'll find out soon. GL to all.Mike

David Carr QB $6Josh McCown QB $8Joey Harrington QB $7*Seemed like the PPG production wasn't worth the extra expense. One of these gu ys should step up with upside each game.Edgerrin James RB $73Tony Hollings RB $2Anthony Thomas RB $5Thomas Jones RB $33Steven Jackson RB $11*Here's where I gambled. I originally had Hambrick $2 and Suggs $15 but the injury scared me. I'll gamble that in bye weeks that SJ or Hollings will step up enough to carry me through. If Faulk and Dom Davis both stay healthy I may be in trouble but we'll see. I grabbed A-Train to protect Jones which may or may not be a mistake.Charles Rogers WR $9Donte' Stallworth WR $10Deion Branch WR $13Brandon Lloyd WR $17Drew Bennett WR $4Eric Parker WR $2Larry Fitzgerald WR $11*Everyone here has the same WR's more or less.Antonio Gates TE $6Jason Witten TE $7*Great bargains for value.Mike Vanderjagt PK $8Jason Hanson PK $3New England DT $10Kansas City DT $4*PPG production made spending on top guys more or less worth it vs another midrange RB. Hopefully their extra PPG will carry me on my RB bye weeks which will be a killer for a lot of us.Should I have kept Lee Suggs? If he stays healthy and productive then I probably gambled wrong.

Guys, if you want to get your rosters, you can send a PM to Tommygunz and/or TenTimes.

They have all the rosters and will be happy to help you out. Might want to PM the both of them to insure one of them gets it.

Is FBG's going to post a subscribers contest update at the web page?I see they were having IT problems earlier this week, but I thought that the problems would be fixed by Wednesday.

FBG said they'd post the results this Thursday (today). So keep an eye on the main page and week 2 subscriber content.

Cool, thanks.
I'm dying to see my team. I can't remember who the heck I picked. I remember some guys, but I changed it so many times it's a little fuzzy. Of course, I've got Charles Rogers just like everyone else.

it looks like the 10% (or whatever) of people that didn't take Charles Rogers will have a freeroll at WR every week. most will have 7 WR's to choose from, while the rest of us will have 6.

IIRC, just over 50% of us rolled the bones with Charles Rogers on our teams. :( :snake-eyes:

your overall cumulative rank doesn't matter if you get booted with a bad score this week...the overall rank only matters once you get to weeks 13-16
