Dawkins? I might even put Curry ahead of him. And Matt Jones will be better. I really like Sheed but it is his complete game.Sulaimon is the most gifted shooter duke has had since redick. Great form and he gets plenty of lift. Just needs to get his footwork and off the ball movement down. He's going to be a killer. Unfortunately he's just too small to guard poythress.
Dawkins was insane when he got hot, but that wasn't often enough. Curry is much more consistent, but just a mediocre athlete. If Sulaimon can shoot anywhere near those guys with his athleticism, I'd be thrilled.Nope. Give me sulaimon. Dawkins had deeper range but I'm betting that sulaimon will be much more consistent over his career. Curry might be as good in an empty gym but sulaimon's extra size and the lift he gets will make him much tougher to stop
Sheed is a better player and could be a 1 and done. But you said pure shooting wise so I disagreed for the sake of argument. Besides, anyone who is 1-9 can't be Duke's best shooter since JJNope. Give me sulaimon. Dawkins had deeper range but I'm betting that sulaimon will be much more consistent over his career. Curry might be as good in an empty gym but sulaimon's extra size and the lift he gets will make him much tougher to stop
Yup. Great job by Alex p to keep his cool. Great talent. Wish duke had landed him.Seriously? Even this UK fan knows that was not intentional.
Senior year, he was like Peyton manning running the baseline and with him developing a shot off the dribble. Truly a sight to see.Man...JJ could shoot lights freakin out. Never seen anything like that guy just running circle after circle through screen after screen until he got open and just a sliver of daylight and he'd cut your heart out.
Yup, that guy had a bottomless gas tank.Man...JJ could shoot lights freakin out. Never seen anything like that guy just running circle after circle through screen after screen until he got open and just a sliver of daylight and he'd cut your heart out.
Just not jelled yet...unibrow hid a lot of blemishes and will go down as one of the most amazing game altering players in college ever...even with his short resume. This team with live and die with the development of Noel, I believe.Hard to believe UK is this bad on the glass. Josh hairston pulling down offensive boards?
I can't imagine what it must've been like to have to matchup with him.Yup, that guy had a bottomless gas tank.Man...JJ could shoot lights freakin out. Never seen anything like that guy just running circle after circle through screen after screen until he got open and just a sliver of daylight and he'd cut your heart out.
JHe has a broken foot. Might be back in the next weekJefferson should be in thoughSuilamon has arrived. How mediocre is Marshall Plumlee that he can't even get on the floor with the foul trouble they have?
B/c they all want the block and don't rotate.Hard to believe UK is this bad on the glass. Josh hairston pulling down offensive boards?
Ah. I was afraid he was another high Duke recruit that didn't amount to much.He has a broken foot. Might be back in the next weekSuilamon has arrived. How mediocre is Marshall Plumlee that he can't even get on the floor with the foul trouble they have?
Sulaimon looks like he's going to be the perimeter athlete Duke typically lacks if he can just get his shot to fall.
Nolan Smith, Gerald Henderson, Chris Duhon, Jason Williams, Maggette, William Avery, Thomas Hill. Is that enough?I wouldn't go there just yet. Poythress is simply taking advantage of a physical mismatch. Has he even taken a jumpshot?Poythress is better than Terrance Jones was but UK's talent level and defensive potential is down at every other position.
They could still win this if Mason fouls out soon. Duke has made some tough shots that might not fall down the stretch
is his stroke better than Andre Dawkins?Sulaimon is the most gifted shooter duke has had since redick. Great form and he gets plenty of lift. Just needs to get his footwork and off the ball movement down. He's going to be a killer.
Unfortunately he's just too small to guard poythress.
Yea...I wasn't sure what that meant. If you said Duke typically misses a true point guard or physical center...then, I'd agree...Sulaimon looks like he's going to be the perimeter athlete Duke typically lacks if he can just get his shot to fall.Nolan Smith, Gerald Henderson, Chris Duhon, Jason Williams, Maggette, William Avery, Thomas Hill. Is that enough?
C'mon, how far back are you going to go. If you look at Duke's typically 1-3, they're not very athletic. Smart players that are good shooters yes, but athletic no. When I say athlete, I pretty much mean a guy that could take you to the hole. Nolan wasn't much of that type of a player; more a stop and pullup. Even Henderson with all his leaping ability was more a mid-range shooter than a driver. The only guy they've had in ages that could drive on you consistently was Irving and sadly we didn't see much of him.Elliot Williams was a guy I was excited about a few years back, but unfortunately he left.Sulaimon looks like he's going to be the perimeter athlete Duke typically lacks if he can just get his shot to fall.Nolan Smith, Gerald Henderson, Chris Duhon, Jason Williams, Maggette, William Avery, Thomas Hill. Is that enough?
Very small sample size, but I agree. Quiet first couple of games.I have to say...not impressed at all by Nerlens

Did you watch the Maryland game? He was invisible.Conversely...I'm amazed at PoythressVery small sample size, but I agree. Quiet first couple of games.I have to say...not impressed at all by Nerlens
Caught only highlights as I was on the road...interesting. I'd think he'd be difficult to keep off the glass.Did you watch the Maryland game? He was invisible.Conversely...I'm amazed at PoythressVery small sample size, but I agree. Quiet first couple of games.I have to say...not impressed at all by Nerlens
I'm really liking him. Not very skilled, but quite the athlete with a tremendous motor.I have to say...not impressed at all by Nerlens
I didn't watch the game, but I could see that. He should just dominate that matchup with Sheed and although he had some highlight reel plays, not nearly enough offense. I'm not sure I saw him take a jumpshot. I'm really liking Goodwin. Good shooter with some hops.Did you watch the Maryland game?
