32 Counter Pass

Yup, start your Texans with confidence this week. Poor Carr, he will have Watt all over him like a jacket.

Great call!Raiders have been 0-13 on the east coast for the last three years I believe, plus starting rookie Carr does not bode well for them.
Yes the secondary of the JETS is terrible going into this first game, but their D-line is pretty good so I expect Carr to be flushed out of the pocket on a regular basis, which is not what he is good at (yet?).
The only positive I have seen has been Carr and D.Moore on the deep ball, so there is a chance we can beat their secondary, if Carr has the time to throw.
Our D is piece meal at best and I expect the JETS to run alot to get their ground game going. If we can stuff the run, get pressure and containment on Geno, we got a shot.
The pessimist in me says the final to be NYJ 20 - OAK 13 ...
They had a game plan vs. the Jets?Texan D should be a decent start, but if it's a gameplan like week one I doubt they would put up a big number. They will probably hold Raiders to a low point total, but I don't see a ton of sacks or chances for big plays. Not saying this is as a snarky way to trash the gameplan of week 1, just a genuine observation.
Part of that was they did not let him do anything. They did not test the poor Jet corners till there was 2 minutes left in the game. I understand its a rookie QB, but if you are scared to let him actually do anything then I'm not sure how he gives you the best chance to win. Not sure if it was Allen or McKenzie who chose Knapp and Olsen, but both were unbelievably uninspiring choices.Carr may look legit in practice but he looked overwhelmed last Sunday.
4.7 yards per attempt.
No offense but how do know that? Isn't it possible that there were plenty of pass plays called with deeper options and Carr simply went the Captain Checkdown route?Part of that was they did not let him do anything. It's possible, but watching the game that's what it looked like to me. Almost all of the passes to the WRs were quick and within five yards of the line of scrimmage. No offense but how do know that? Exactly. And the Jets caught on, obviously, and brought up the safety and corners. I think the play calling was weak also. But I agree, that I don't know squat about what was called and what Carr did with the play from there. After the game, Carr said to put the loss completely on him. Carr also appears to have the respect of his team mates and seams to command the respect of a true leader at QB.ICON211 said:It's possible, but watching the game that's what it looked like to me. Totally agree. Great runner and receiver.Another thing, all I hear about is how Reece is a matchup nightmare and game after game year after year he is criminally underutilized.
Exactly what? You think they called 32 passes where the #1 option was within 4.7 yards from the line of scrimmage?Exactly...ICON211 said:It's possible, but watching the game that's what it looked like to me. ummm, perhaps the rest of the sentence you took one word from. I already stated I don't know squat about the actual plays called and what Carr did with them. I am the leader of the "Fire Olsen" bandwagon but come on! Carr didn't even consider his deep options, which existed regardless of what Raider fans all hope, until desperation mode. Of course he can improve but that 4.7 is all on him.
I'm more concerned with his decision making than YPA at this stage in his career. We know he has the arm to get it down the field. An increase in efficiency will come as he acclimates to the league. If he's turnover and error-prone, he'll lose the trust of his team and his coaches (and perhaps his confidence as well) before he has a chance to blossom.Carr may look legit in practice but he looked overwhelmed last Sunday.

But they make up for it by doing it often.they cant even fumble right
well you would think practice makes perfectBut they make up for it by doing it often.they cant even fumble right
Would miniscule signs of improvement SOMEWHERE be too much to ask?Settle down..nobody said this would be easy.
I guess you have just come to accept the worst. I think after so many years of getting destroyed and a two year burn the place down and rebuild we have a right to expect something better than the worst team in football and absolute futility.Settle down..nobody said this would be easy.
Yes.Would miniscule signs of improvement SOMEWHERE be too much to ask?Settle down..nobody said this would be easy.
In their home opener against a mediocre team, us fans should expect better football.Would miniscule signs of improvement SOMEWHERE be too much to ask?Settle down..nobody said this would be easy.
why? would it change the outcome?i hope we see L.Murray at some point today
You think he thinks it would?why? would it change the outcome?i hope we see L.Murray at some point today
nope...just want to see what can dowhy? would it change the outcome?i hope we see L.Murray at some point today
You serious? Maybe because he's young and unproven and McFadden (along with the rest of the team) sucks?why? would it change the outcome?i hope we see L.Murray at some point today
Redshirt him & work for #1 pick.nope...just want to see what can dowhy? would it change the outcome?i hope we see L.Murray at some point today
Id be inclined to agree if big Al was still in chargeThe seat just got hot.
Others noticed.Tuck and Woodley look like great signings. They have a ton of gas left in the tank and that super bowl experience is paying huge dividends.
Lance Zierlein @LanceZierleinIf you're a raider fan, u have to be concerned w/ that defensive line opening a can of quit today. Justin Tuck looked disinterested in fball

From what I can see right now; I can't argue with that.I've said it many times and usually get ripped by the loyalists, but Hue Jackson actually had this arrow pointing upward and he got canned for a fiery press conference. That's the one that should chap all your asses most.
They are there to just collect a paycheck. And it shows. This team is terrible, historically bad. To play that poorly in their home opener against a mediocre team is an insult to the Raiders fan base. For the first time in 35 years I'm finding myself questioning my loyalty. 12 years of losing and no signs of progress are really starting to take a toll. Carr has promise but his supporting cast is so bad, it'll be a miracle if the kid makes it 16 games. On the bright side Watt was pretty quiet today. Well except for catching a TD, just the icing on the cake to an embarrassing day.Every time a new player comes in.... Warren Sapp, Randy Moss, Carson Palmer, etc. etc. etc., they all say the right things.
"We're excited to start a new chapter in Raider history, blah blah blah."
"This team has lots of potential, blah blah blah."
And it always ends the same way. A few games of humiliation in the black and silver and they quit like dogs.
