Awesome work and thanks again. I donated to OC every year and will gladly support your cause this year.

I wonder if there's any interesting ratio of player cost to ownership %? Kelvin Benjamin is the closest thing to last year's Julius Thomas. Low cost resulting in crazy-high ownership. The converse is probably true, what high price studs resulted in lower ownership? Just musing.

I have Benjamin (46.5%) , Ertz (29.5%) , and Hunter (19.4%). But not a single other QB/RB/WR/TE greater than 15% ownership, and most of those under 10%.

So I think my uniqueness score when it comes out will be pretty high. And along with that, the higher risk of being eliminated early.

TE:

Gronkowski

Kelce

Amaro

Choice between Gronk and Graham was an easy one more me. I think the price difference is higher than the ceiling difference between the two. Not worried about early season snap count as Gronk was averaging something like 7 rec for 100 yards in his first 3 games back last year on a "snap count". And even if he is on a snap count, he'll pretty much play every snap in the red zone which is his bread and butter.

Took Kelce due to his upside. Wanted to take Rudolph but had same bye as Gronkowski. This is the one pick I'm not thrilled about, but the price is right and he's shown this preseason that he's capable of the big play.

Added Amaro last minute because I thought I needed a 3rd TE. Think he'll put a decent game or 2 and that's all you really need in this contest for his price tag.
def agree with this. gronk is a no brainer over graham. hes more productive and cheaper. take both if you want, but if you only want one, its gotta be gronk.

the graham that i like, is garrett. he put up 545 and 5 in 12 games last yr. ill take it for 9 bucks. oh and take kelce for 8 too. could be the latest break out te.
My 3 TEs are graham, gronk and garrett graham. I noticed garrett was the highest targeted te last season through the weeks where Daniels was hurt. As a bonus, he was very up and down last season. Lots of 7 point games and a few 20-30 point games which is what I was looking for with my bench players

In almost all of my leagues i have ball... so why not this too?.... too stud reliant and probably to injury prone at QB... this year was way harder to pick a team than last, good luck to all.... glad i caught they changed the cutoffs because i was about to load up on week 4 byes until i saw the change

R. Wilson $ 14

J. Cutler $ 12

G. Smith $ 7

I broke my usual trend here. I've always gone w/2 QB exception being the year Warner was obscenely low, but have finally come around to having that emergency insurance plan.....I figured Wilson and Cutler would be heavily owned, but they were both best bang for the buck....Im willing to take a flyer on Geno, and if I get a start or two out of him, it will be worth the money spent. Wilson was also an easy pick here due to the early bye. My only concern with Cutler (aside from inj hx) is that 3 game stretch at home (inclement weather?) weeks 14-16. Part of the reason I opted on including Geno.

A. Ellington $ 25

S. Vereen $ 23

J. Bell $ 21

C. Hyde $ 10

A. Blue $ 3

B. Cunningham $ 3

Going a little bit deeper here that most yrs (I usually roster 5) but there were some good clarity here IMO. Top 3 have separate byes, don't impact the budget too much compared to the upper echelon RB's, and appear to be good ppr options. Hyde choice is my token 49er (big fan of 49ers but am agnostic when it comes to FF). Flat out, I think Hyde turns it into a full blown rbbc soon, with the possibility that he relegates Gore to the lesser side of the rbbc by week 10/11. Blue pick, I have no faith that Foster stays healthy for long, and if Grimes was there I would have rostered them both. Cunningham was a good cheap flyer, and who knows? Maybe it pays off. In regards to Ellington, he was a late add/switch for D. Martin. The more I kept looking at it, I was worried about C. Sims coming back off IR and eating into Martin's workload as we get deeper into the weekly cuts.

Michael Floyd $ 21

K. Allen $ 21

T. Smith $ 16

J. Hunter $ 9

A. Dobson $ 7

K. Benjamin ® $ 5

M. Wheaton $ 5

I've been getting Floyd on almost every roster I have (16x I think?, >>> way too many eggs in one basket) but I'm sold on his potential. K. Allen is there to be my steady weekly anchor whereas Smith / Hunter / Dobson are my couple games a yr big week guys. The price was too good to pass on Benji and Wheaton. they should both hopefully provide good ROI. Others I was looking hard at included Harvin (but I had to make a choice btwn Harvin and Floyd - same bye week) as well as G. Tate (felt I could get same thing plus maybe more platoon wise for less with Benji/Wheaton) . Wanted Dobson at low price if he ends up being more that just another body in N.E.

Z. Ertz $ 13

D. Allen $ 8

T. Kelce $ 8

Went with a trio of mid range options (I should have guessed the ownership % would be thru the roof on all three). I would have loved to include Orange Julius or Graham but the $$$ hit would have killed me in other area's I wasn't willing to degrade on. This should provide a solid weekly single starter platoon wise and frequent flex play if things play out right.

J. Tucker $ 5

G. Zuerlein $ 3

N. Freese $ 3

I usually try to go with 4 PK's so I am cutting back AND relying on a rookie to boot. A bit concerned here, but have 2 Dome kickers and a stud PK. Hopefully this doesn't come back to hurt me.

HOU DEF $ 4

TEN DEF $ 3

TEN choice made easier when looking at weeks 13-16 sched (if Im lucky enuf to make it that far!). HOU DEF has easier early sched out of the gate. I usually never carry more that 2 DEF's.

I tried something new this yr. I waited until Sept 2nd to even look. I wanted to avoid the constant roster configuration overthink. I only changed the roster 3x, with the overwhelming core staying true to my initial selections.

Time will tell :)

Iggy, I just converted a bunch of entries to staff. Here is a full list of staff entries. It's possible that there will be one or two more, but I think this is it.

[SIZE=medium]QB Russell Wilson SEA $15 I have Wilson as a top 5 QB this year and at great price[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]QB Joe Flacco BAL $8 $8 for a vet who won't lose his job. Sign me up.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]QB Josh McCown TB $8 Was unsure here with Lovie coming in. Too many weapons, McCown looked studly last year, high scoring division.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]I've always been a 2 QB guy and may have screwed the pouch here. Hoping having boom/bust type of guys works out in the bb format.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]RB Reggie Bush DET $23 0.00 One of the best value studs per Dodds.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]RB Joique Bell DET $21 0.00 Maybe even a better value stud.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]RB Ray Rice BAL $18 0.00 Bounce back year. With 4 games off early, he should have fresh legs for late in the year.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]RB Mark Ingram NO $9 0.00 Bought in like most everyone else.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]RB Jonathan Stewart CAR $5 0.00 This is the year. Honestly I think he finally passed DWilly in talent.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]Bush/Bell should produce like low end RB1s. If one gets hurt the other becomes an elite RB1. With Rice/Flacco I get most of the Raven TDs. I will likely lose some ground to the field here. RB $/production didn't warrant looking for a flex play here.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR Emmanuel Sanders DEN $18 0.00 No brainer with Welker missing the first four weeks and injured brain. Perfect bb WR. He'll post CJ or AJ stats about 1/2 of the weeks.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR Golden Tate DET $13 0.00 Just a gut feeling here, but I envision monster WR1 weeks about a 1/3 of the time.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR Doug Baldwin SEA $10 0.00 I own Harvin almost everywhere except here. Another boom/bust bb guy.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR Steve Smith BAL $7 0.00 Grossly under rated based on what I saw in pre-season. Paired with Flacco for playoff upside.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR Cody Latimer DEN $6 0.00 Protects my Sanders investment. Better value elsewhere, but didn't need another value guy.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR Kelvin Benjamin CAR $5 0.00 There's a reason 1/2 the entires own him.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR Markus Wheaton PIT $5 0.00 Expecting big things from Big Ben. Wheaton will benefit[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR Jermaine Kearse SEA $5 0.00 When Baldwin doesn't hit, Kearse should. pair both with my QB for playoff upside.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR John Brown ARI $3 0.00 Bought into the hype.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR Mohamed Sanu CIN $3 0.00 Another boom/bust guy that should be more boom for the first half of the season.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]WR Jason Avant CAR $2 0.00 Cheap play at some Carolina WR productions to pair with Benjamin.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]I'll be firing 11 bullets here. There's enough talent and opportunity for something to stick only needing two scores. Had a top stud in the lineup, but I think Smith plus Benjamin on down will outscore the stud most weeks.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]TE Rob Gronkowski NE $26 0.00[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]TE Zach Ertz PHI $13 0.00[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]TE Travis Kelce KC $8 0.00[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]Looked real hard at Gronk + Graham. Just too much cheap talent to pass on. Went Gronk as a contratarian move over Graham. He can be the TD machine I need down the stretch. Ertz/kelce should provide a flex option about 2/3 of the weeks.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]PK Mike Nugent CIN $3 0.00[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]PK Adam Vinatieri IND $3 0.00[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]PK Graham Gano CAR $3 0.00[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]DST Buffalo Bills BUF $4 0.00[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]DST New York Jets NYJ $3 0.00[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]DST Miami Dolphins MIA $3 0.00[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]All cheapies except for the Bills since I had an extra buck to spend. Like their sack potential. Byes are spread out as I recall so I should be firing 5 bullets even during the bye weeks.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]I been a big roster guy and have finished in the money twice. My theory is that I'd rather make the final 250 a 1/3 of the time with a reduced chance of winning vs. only making it 1/10 times with a double chance of winning. Feel like I'm above average at QB. My RBs won't give up a ton of ground and are safe. Really like the WR corps. Got a peace of some good offenses and matchup up WRs with Wilson/Flacco to give me upside potential should I make the finals. Relatively strong at TE.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=medium]Very interested in hearing other people's thoughts.[/SIZE]

As every year I put my computer program up against this contest, the last two years saw early eliminations so I'm rolling the dice on a tight 18 player team:

Foles-$19

Cutler-$12

For the longest time, had just Manning here, but decided to see if I could find two guys that I legitimately thought could have monster weeks at any given time. I think I found two that I really like and made my roster a bit stronger by splitting that money. Both these guys can have huge weeks. Luckily I had been sitting on $249 so finding the extra $1 was not a problem, it was already there.

Graham - $30

Gronk - $26

Cameron - $22

This is really the key to my roster, so addressing it first. I feel confident I will always get one of my flexes from here, possibly two. Big debate was whether to take Julius or Gronk at the exact same price. Ultimately love Gronk, hope I didn't choose wrong.

Peterson-$30

Martin-$24

MJD-$15

Andre Williams-$7

McCluster-$7

I built this with the idea that I really only needed two scores from here. I think those top 3 should rotate between being used most of the time, but the upside of Williams may help down the stretch, especially with TDs. Thrilled to be able to get AP and do like Martin this year. MJD I probably like a little too much this year, and I just have a feeling on McCluster with Whisenhunt. Those could prove to be bad picks.

Hopkins-$11

Hunter-$9

Steve Smith-$7

Benjamin-$5

John Brown-$3

Stedman Bailey-2

So again with the idea that I am probably pulling two starters from here and then hoping for stud TE or some RB/WR week to be my second flex. Had to find value here but I like all these guys on this list a lot, and am finding them on a lot of my teams this year. Love Bailey post-suspension for $2.

Zuerlein/Gano/Walsh - 3 Kickers.

Just need guys to keep their jobs all year.

Titans/Jags/Steelers/Chargers -

The year I got second place, it was in no small part thanks to a 39 point performance in the finals from a random, cheap D (I had 4 Ks and 4 Ds that year). Defenses are so unpredictable here that I am happy to take a fourth shot (instead of the standard three) to get a huge week out of nowhere. I would much rather have any four $3 Ds then Seattle ($9) plus one $3 D.

Tom Brady $17

Jay Cutler $12

Obviously Cutler was a popular pick. I think Brady rebounds majorly this season, surprised he was priced this low.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Matt Forte $32

Adrian Peterson $30

Ray Rice $18

Frank Gore $16

Wanted Forte and Lacy but bye issues, bumped up to AD AP. Swore off Rice after last year but he seemed underpriced,

can't wait til he sucks again. Gore seemed like good value too. Not a fan of playing cheaper RBs and hoping for

injuries/opportunities to arise, would rather pay for starters who should produce barring injury.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dez Bryant $27

Antonio Brown $22

Kelvin Benjamin $5

Markus Wheaton $5

Jermaine Kearse $5

Mohamed Sanu $3

Seems like Bryant and Brown were both popular picks, surprised to see them so much. Also have seen a lot of teams

with Benjamin, Wheaton, and Sanu as well. Surprised there's not more love for Kearse. Again, payed more for elite

production, hoping the cheaper guys can fill in every now and then to cover bye weeks.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jimmy Graham $30

Travis Kelce $8

John Carlson $3

Graham seemed like a slam dunk, this contest made me realize how much I didn't like the TEs this year. Gronk too

risky and pricey for a locked-in-for-the-year contest like this. Had Rudolph until about an hour left, decided to

switch to Kelce and use the extra money for Wheaton. Didn't realize he and Graham had the same bye week. Oops.

Have John Carlson for personal reasons, I actually think he's gunna suck, but hopefully he can stay healthy until

week 6.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dan Bailey $4

Mason Crosby $4

Mike Nugent $3

Ended up with an extra $2 after I dropped Rudolph, actually feel like Baily and Crosby are a significant upgrade

from the $3 kickers, but its kickers so who knows

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Miami Dolphins $3

Pittsburgh Steelers $3

Wish I had an extra $3 instead of $2 left over, I would've added another D.

This is a really interesting option for $15 instead of P. Harvin for $22. I have Wilson/Harvin in this contest and considered adding Baldwin or Kearse but never considered these two instead of Harvin. I'm not afraid of Harvin's injury history, but if someone was this is a decent option to get a piece of the SEA receiving corp... and it's still pretty good even if Harvin doesn't get hurt.

QB Joe Flacco
RB Ray Rice

Sure you lock down all the Raven's TD's but did you consider that is the crappy Raven's offense... but that's probably just my Steeler bias coming through

Here's my roster which I know you guys are all interested in and were dying to see. :sarcasm:

For once this year I only spent about 10 minutes on this contest. My first year I made it to the finals and got crushed. Every year since I've been eliminated. Great contest every year. Thanks FBG's!

Uh, the contest is closed. Wasn't looking for advice. :P

It's a long season, injuries happen, and there are two flexes...

QB Joe Flacco
RB Ray Rice

Sure you lock down all the Raven's TD's but did you consider that is the crappy Raven's offense... but that's probably just my Steeler bias coming through
Had initially had Harvin but I'm too heavily invested in him everywhere else and I think his explosiveness and the progression of Wilson will result in the Seattle WR2/3 becoming viable options.

Flacco is getting downgraded because of last year. He used to throw wildly varying weeks when he had more weapons. Smith does wonders for that offense and Pitta is back. I think Pitt will have a big offense this year. Between Pitt x 2 and Cinny x 2 I envixion some high scoring weeks.

Tony Romo $14
Code:
Ben Roethlisberger $10
I see a ton of value at QB again this year, and many viable strategies/combos. The oft-owned Cutler does seem like a good pick, but I asked myself whether I would feel good about my entry hinging on Smokin' Jay on a Sunday or Monday night, and the answer is nah brah. Any # of QBs other than 2, unless you're going super cheap, still seems bad to me. Spending $25+ here is bad. We will see "thank you based Bortles" posts in November, I'm sure--doesn't make it a good approach (I like Teddy at $6 or whatever tho).

LeSean McCoy $34
Code:
Eddie Lacy $28
Code:
Fred Jackson $12
Code:
Chris Ivory $8
Code:
Shonn Greene $6
I will only have McCoy and Ivory going at RB on Week 9, which is my big gamble with this lineup. The rest of my team, barring TE4, will be playing (no one on my team will be injured). I see more value at the top with RB. F-Jax jumped out immediately.

Antonio Brown $22
Code:
Larry Fitzgerald $20
Code:
Reggie Wayne $14
Code:
Brandin Cooks $14
Code:
Kelvin Benjamin $5
Code:
Brandon LaFell $3
WR has value for days. As I said last week, I see the overall plum picks in a somewhat higher range this year, $8-14. Fitz at $20 looks significantly underpriced to me. The bottom 3 are #HYPE picks but, um, they'll all be good, right? Because the hype is real.

Rob Gronkowski $26
Code:
Travis Kelce $8
Code:
Marcedes Lewis $6
Code:
Richard Rodgers $5
I love that Gronk is cheaper and owned a fifth as much as Graham. Additionally, I did not spend enough at TE in prior years, and finally made the leap to rostering 4. Where people are high on Bortles, I'm correspondingly high on an inexperienced QB's fond target, the TE--Lewis.

Greg Zuerlein $3
Code:
Sebastian Janikowski $3
Code:
Blair Walsh $3
Code:
Miami Dolphins $3
Code:
Detroit Lions $3
I still firmly believe you need 3 kickers due to injuries/cuts. Due to pricing changes overall, I am down to 2 defense though.

Traditionally, I have been a near-max roster entry, but am now "mid-range" at 22.

Quick review of ownership stats, and two things surprise me most: Cutler being such an outlier for a one max starter spot, and Gronks low ownership for all the run he gets in general.

Okay with a little more detail:

3 QBs - $31

QB - Andrew Luck - 20
QB - Joe Flacco - 8

QB - Blake Bortles - 3

I went a variety of ways with this. For the longest time I was Brees/Flacco, then I'd think maybe I should do the Romo/Cutler thing that I bet a lot of people are doing. I was all over the map. Then I'm sure I was screwing with another part of the roster and said "do I really need Brees, yeah I know the guy that won it all last year had him, but I could some $). This lead me to Luck, who I think has better weaponry than last year and he's only in his 3rd year. And I figure he'll be less owned. I've found that doing the hard statistical analysis led to teams with a lot of common guys. I opted not to do it this year. Anyway, Flacco at $8 I think represents solid value. He has a cannon arm and could have a big game or two in him. He's durable as well, which has a lot of appeal here. For a long while I was 2 QB. I ended up deciding to throw the Bortles dart that many have. He has the same bye week as Flacco so it's not ideal, but it's a poke and hope deal with him. I didn't love the common bye weeks (4,9,10) that mostly cropped up with the bunch at $11-13. And then there's the factor of adding on another dollar or two and I started feeling like it degraded other positions too much.

6 RBs - $76
RB - Eddie Lacy - 28
RB - Alfred Morris - 20
RB - Jeremy Hill - 13
RB - Mark Ingram - 9
RB - James White - 4

RB - Robert Turbin - 2

Like many people I settled on Lacy as the guy with the best upside, solid job security and price point to be my main guy. I danced around with a number of other combos and really White was the one other guy I always solid on. I like Hill at $13 and had him most of the time. After being on Mathews for a good while I decided I just can't trust him. There is some worry with Morris in a new regime but I think there's still real upside with a young back. Ingram probably getting goal-line carries had appeal - he could have random games that have a good scoring boost. Turbin at $2 is a popular choice and I'm glad I got a version that had him. He might not do much but if Lynch gets hurt it may be a savvy pick. And he'll still get more looks than his price would indicate I think.

7 WR - $82
WR - A.J. Green - 28
WR - Torrey Smith - 16

WR - Jeremy Maclin - 16
WR - Greg Jennings - 9
WR - Kelvin Benjamin - 5
WR - Marcus Wheaton - 5
WR - Mohamed Sanu - 3

I think this is the first time in a good while, perhaps ever, where I spend more on WR than RB. I had so many guys in and out of this lineup. Benjamin was there the whole time - as with so many other entries. Sanu pretty much locked in once Marvin Jones' foot issues persisted - he's a guy who could keep at least a decent share of catches even after Jones return. And he looked great in preseason. I settled on Jennings later, I just think he's going to be a steading influence there - I can't seem getting totally dealt out. AJ took a while to settle on but I didn't like Dez's bye and I think he's just gonna be huge and is a blue chip at a blue chip price. I looked at a like of guys. I had Hunter like many did for many choice. And Lattimer. And Cooks. But after a time I decided to go with two guys that are more solid at #2 and #3. I think Torrey Smith has a lot of upside. Maclin I'm less sold on him but that offense will be great enough that he should be good - and it's a less common bye week. Wheaton came in at the end instead of Lattimer when I needed a dollar.

4 TEs - $41
TE - Jordan Cameron - 22
TE - Zach Ertz - 13
TE - Jace Amaro - 3

TE - Mychal Rivera - 3

In the beginning I was great guns with Graham here as well as Eifert. Then I wanted a 3rd guy. And that became Kelce and to get him I decided that Cameron has the kind of upset to make up for that. And I decided I like Ertz more in that offense than Eifert (Gresham may eat more than a little of his catches). Then I was hunting a couple dollars and decided that Kelce wasn't so great as to be sacrosanct and I felt like Amaro seemed to be figuring pretty big in the Jets plans and he was worth the gamble. Rivera less so but I figure having two speculative bullets here at a lower rate was better than Kelce. We'll see.

3 PK - $9
PK - Caleb Sturgis - 3
PK - Nate Freese - 3
PK - Blair Walsh - 3

This is the plan for kicker. 3 different bye weeks. 3 guys that seem to have the job nailed down. So there you go.

3 TD - $11
TD - Kansas City Chiefs - 5
TD - Minnesota Vikings - 3
TD - Pittsburgh Steelers - 3

The Chiefs get so many return TDs and I just think they are gonna continue to do that and excel in the return game. Rarely do I reach for a defense - usually if I spend a little more it's for a $4 defense but I liked them here and worked to keep them on. Minnesota is trusting in Zimmer working his magic. The Steelers offer a different bye and it's kind a desert of defenses at $3. I don't love the Jets with all the injuries so I got rid of them for Pittsburgh.

So there you go :) Ended up with 26 players at the end, which is pretty much in line with where I end up, but I am pretty surprised as I was running at 23 or 24 most of time (as those following the thread know). Here's hoping :) .

Wow, only 279 30-player teams this year.

Hopefully my scrub WRs can score some points in week 9 when my one and only big gun WR is idle.

I think my flex points will usually come from the RBs, and occasionally from the TEs.

I was already at 30 players when I had $3 left over, so I got a rare chance to bump up a couple of Defs and a K.

Many iterations had Locker and/or Geno Smith in at QB, but ultimately I couldn't trust either of them to not get benched at some point.

I really wanted Zac Stacy, but a little voice kept telling me to get Doug Williams active...

I also came this close to having Ray Rice, but I went with my gut and took MJD instead. Rice could be a really nice value this year though.

I had Kelce right up to the end, but I figured he'd be highly rostered, and again... just a gut feeling - gotta trust 'em!

If Nelson is reasonably consistent, I just need a decent week from any of my WR lottery picks to put up an ok WR score.

QB - Andy Dalton - CIN/4 - $13
QB - Ryan Tannehill - MIA/5 - $10
QB - Joe Flacco - BAL/11 - $8

RB - Doug Martin - TB/7 - $24

RB - Frank Gore - SF/8 - $16
RB - Maurice Jones-Drew - OAK/5 - $15
RB - Carlos Hyde - SF/8 - $10
RB - Benny Cunningham - STL/4 - $3
RB - Robert Turbin - SEA/4 - $2

WR - Jordy Nelson - GB/9 - $25
WR - Doug Baldwin - SEA/4 - $10
WR - Rod Streater - OAK/5 - $7
WR - Cody Latimer - DEN/4 - $6
WR - Kelvin Benjamin - CAR/12 - $5
WR - Markus Wheaton - PIT/12 - $5
WR - Andre Holmes - OAK/5 - $5
WR - Malcom Floyd - SD/10 - $4
WR - Marlon Brown - BAL/11 - $3
WR - Jarvis Landry - MIA/5 - $3
WR - Mohamed Sanu - CIN/4 - $3

TE - Zach Ertz - PHI/7 - $13
TE - Heath Miller - PIT/12 - $10

PK - Matt Bryant - ATL/9 - $4
PK - Greg Zuerlein - STL/4 - $3

PK Blair Walsh MIN $3 0.00
PK Greg Zuerlein STL $3 0.00
DST Seattle Seahawks SEA $9 4.00
DST Houston Texans HOU $4 0.00

I'm pretty pumped for this squad. I think it has a good mix of studs and lower players. I just couldn't pull the trigger on enough guys for a huge roster.

My master plan this year was to go with less players and more studs and then just pray for no big injuries to my lineup. I also do my best to balance bye weeks.

Matt Ryan $16 (9)

Philip Rivers $12 (10)

I definitely skimped more here than anywhere else. I just think both of these guys will outperform their value. I originally had Cutler and Wilson as my QBs but I didn't like the way their bye weeks fell with other players on my roster and I thought the other positions were more important to keep.

Jamaal Charles $36 (6)

LeSean McCoy $34 (7)

Ray Rice $18 (11)

I went all-in with these 3 guys figuring that RBs will be the most consistent scorers week to week so I want studs, plus all three of these guys figure to catch a decent number of passes too. I originally had Lacy instead of Charles but figured I'd rather spend a few extra $ here than at WR. Hopefully it pays off. I haven't seen a single roster posted here yet with Charles on it.

Antonio Brown $22 (12)

Roddy White $19 (9)

DeAndre Hopkins $11 (10)

Mike Evans $11 (7)

Justin Hunter $9 (9)

Kelvin Benjamin $5 (12)

WR will probably be my eventual downfall in this year's contest. I think the TEs are more valuable so I just looked for guys here that fit my bye week needs and that I think will produce. In my various roster iterations, my WRs got turned over the most. Other guys I looked at hard were Crabtree, Harvin, Wallace, and Floyd.

Vernon Davis $17 (8)

Zach Ertz $13 (7)

Travis Kelce $8 (6)

I really wanted Graham and Kelce as my 2 TEs but they both had the same bye week, so I ended up switching out Graham for the Davis/Ertz combo. I'm guessing my flex will like use an extra TE most weeks.

Mike Nugent $3 (4)

Nate Freese $3 (9)

Adam Vinatieri $3 (10)

I'm simply looking for (3) $3 kickers here from teams with good offenses and different bye weeks. CIN, DET, and IND kickers fit the bill here.

New Orleans Saints $4 (6)

Pittsburgh Steelers $3 (12)

New York Jets $3 (11)

Looking for 3 cheap defenses with different bye weeks. Had $1 extra dollar to spend so I bought one $4 defense. Nothing fancy here.

Graham >> Gronk. When you lose in Gronk's bye week, you'll be wishing you had Graham's early bye.

How many get cut this week?
770. 5.4% won't see week 2.
Might trim that huge Lacy owner percentage a bit this week.
Maybe. But doubt it. I think there are enough junk entries to cover his low score.
Nah…this is the type of week where the junk entries can advance to week 2. You'll see junk entries for several weeks until the odds eventually catch up with them. There are so many Lacy owners that many most will advance, it's the Lacy owners that catch another dud week from a stud that will eat the knife in week one.

My strategy was to go stud WR/TE all with different bye weeks and fill out the rest of the lineup with value players. Stud QB/RB appeared to offer less value. I picked zero top ten QB or RB. I started with 18 players total and moved up to 20. Ended up with several high ownership players.

Jay Cutler $12 - 43.1%
