2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs: All hail the Blackhawks, mudbutt (1 Viewer)

I think Babcock is the best coach but not sure he's Scotty Bowman so the gap between him and #2 or the rest isn't huge.

I'm just not looking forward to Bylsma, DeBoer, or Boucher types. Maybe Richardson would be good for the kids and then get an upgrade in 2 or 3 years when the team is ready to contend.
What about Hitchcock if he gets cut loose in St.Louis?
Good call. Hitchcock isn't the guy you want if you are a contender, but if you are an up and comer team, he's your guy.
He's good until his players turn on him. He's hit the point in STL where the players are turning on him, thus it's time to go.
Probably because like DD said the Blues are a veteran contender and Hitchcock is better coaching young up and coming players,

I don't see that happening, but I'd like to see him in Buffalo. Great coach imo.
Hitchcock's name keeps coming up when there's a coaching vacancy and St.Louis was supposed to be the other finalist for Babcock. Another guy I like a lot is Paul MacLean. Do you think he's a fit for the Sabres?
Hitch is still the coach in St Louis though. If they are going to make a move there, what are they waiting for?

I like MacLean a little bit. I don't think he had much talent to work with in Ottawa, but not sure why things went sour for him there.

he did pretty well with the Stars.

I also think he's done a great job with the Blues. No shame in losing to the teams they have been losing to in the playoffs the past few years.

I think the Rangers have the much better chance of these two to beat the Western team IMO, but I'd sure love to see the Bolts try.

That's a bad goal King Henrick.

Great game.

Seems like a bad goal for henrik to give up. Oh well. Thought they would split. Would have been nice to get this one.

pretty sure Hitch's contract is up. IIRC both sides were going to sit on it a bit

Albeit it being Brown, he just stopped a breakaway. That's a wicked shot through a partial screen. I know it's Henrik, but I wouldn't fault him in that one. More credit to the shot than blame on the save.

This crowd is stunned, doesn't even seem like a home crowd.
probably loaded with Rangers fans like EvilGrin
No the reaction to the goal was great, definitely Bolts through and through. But then they just got up and left or were just so stunned at what they just witnessed, they were silent. Usually an arena is buzzing for 20 minutes after something like that.

I just remember the Sharks traded for Brian Campbell at the deadline, but he ended up just being a rental when he signed a huge deal with Chicago in the summer. Sharks then replaced him by trading for Dan Boyle.

Bolts signed Boyle to a 6-year, $40MM deal but then the new owners came in and wanted to shed salary so they dealt him away. Not sure why Tampa fans would boo him.

Man that was an awesome game.

I'm heading to the cabin for two weeks, I'll check in periodically. Rude feel free to change the subtitle if it gets stale but I'll try to update it.

I think it was him stalling behind the net that brought out the boos.

He was very well liked when he was here,

Well placed shot but Henrik looked totally unprepared. Yeah, partial screen but you to at least be ready.

Yeah he got beat bad there, wasn't close. He looked like Bob Essensa on that shot.

The StubHub Cabin?
How much would you pay to party with Dr D for one night?
Duh. $26k
Actually would just cost a case of Busch Light and a couple of fat chicks (heavy on the fat chicks, no pun intended).

I naturally read your response in Spicoli's voice.

Naturally. I do the same with Sonny Lubick Blowup Doll.

He's 32, and you'll never have as much as he has now. His brother scoffs at Babcock contracts and Cadillacs, it's caviar and two sweaty men to a room.
Play along here, guy.
