There was a lot of low dollar value at the WR position this year.  Marvin Jones was my highest dollar WR, allowing me to go in big on RBs.

I agree there was a lot of value, but it is still only week 1.  I wouldn't count on getting that kind of production from that group with any regularity.

Money well spent if you kept McCown!

The #Browns are placing QB Robert Griffin III on Injured Reserve with a fractured coracoid bone. No surgery. Reevaluated in 3-4 weeks.
I did not. :kicksrock:

But Stafford looked good, I still have Cousins and I went with Keenum as cheap insurance since he was a dollar cheaper and was a definite starter.

423 teams are in big trouble as they only have two QBs and one of them is RGIII.

33 out of those teams have Tom Brady as their 2nd QB....

I feel like I've been skipping through a mine field.  I had RGIII on the first thousand or so iterations, but dropped him for Wentz when Philly traded Bradford.  I spent hours trying to get Keenan Allen onto my roster, but could never get a bye week setup I liked with him on the team and finally gave up on him the day before rosters locked.

I can't imagine how anyone actually thought that was a good strategy.  Very low odds of doing well.

That three dollars was Jessie James and a kicker upgrade.
and there were a ton of people who saw a huge upside to RGIII.  Not surprised a few thought he could carry the load until Week 5 and swung for the fences...they probably looked at my backups (Wentz and Gabbert)  and thought "Why would he spend money on them when he could have had RGIII's QB1 potential?"

ETA: there are 207 teams that only rostered 1 QB. I see that as a crazy risk.  They see it as a reasonable gamble to get a quality QB and still have money to spend elsewhere. It's all in your viewpoint.

OK, I'm confused.  I was inputting a "What if" team on Iggy's site and saw it lists "E. Rogers-SF" (Eric Rogers) as the $4 WR.  I was sure that when I was going through my thousands of iterations, in several of them I had "E. Rogers - Pitt" (Eli Rogers) as that same $4 WR.  I was about to tell Iggy he had an error, but I went back and checked a printout I did of the player list on Day 1 and it does say SF (i.e., Eric).  When I checked the Querier, it lists Eli, not Eric. Did I miss something?

As I understand it, it was briefly wrong on FBG, and as a result it's wrong on my What If? page as well.  The correct player is Eli on Pittsburgh.  Everything else on my site should reference this correctly, I think I just forgot to change the label on the "draft screen".

I've put together a WhatIf? roster :

QB     Tom Brady     $15
QB     Carson Wentz     $6
RB     LeVeon Bell     $27
RB     LeSean McCoy     $24
RB     Tevin Coleman     $9
RB     James White     $5
RB     Robert Turbin     $4
RB     Alfred Morris     $3
WR     Julio Jones     $32
WR     Brandon Marshall     $22
WR     Julian Edelman     $19
WR     Sterling Shepard     $11
WR     Chris Hogan     $5
WR     Mike Wallace     $5
WR     Charles Johnson     $3
WR     Chris Conley     $3
TE     Eric Ebron     $10
TE     Martellus Bennett     $9
TE     Jared Cook     $8
TE     Vance McDonald     $6
TE     Hunter Henry     $4
PK     Sebastian Janikowski     $3
PK     Nick Folk     $2
PK     Andrew Franks     $2
PK     Ryan Succop     $2
DST     Detroit Lions     $3
DST     San Diego Chargers     $2
DST     Cleveland Browns     $2
DST     Tennessee Titans     $2
DST     New Orleans Saints     $2

For comparison, my actual roster. I made the players on the two rosters very different, even though the strategy was mostly the same. The overlap between the two is a few core players who were pretty much locked into my roster at the start (Tom Brady, LeVeon Bell, and Julian Edelman) plus most of my defenses & kickers (all but Detroit & Cleveland) because I'm pretty much locked into my "lots of cheap PK & DST" strategy.

The players that I strongly considered who didn't make either roster are: QB Robert Griffin, RB DeMarco Murray, RB Melvin Gordon, WR Tyler Boyd, WR Eli Rogers, WR Quincy Enunwa, TE Gary Barnidge, TE Antonio Gates, and TE Zach Miller.

Not sure what your question is , but. Eli Rogers (Pit) was $4

I tried something just a little bit different this year.  I picked all guys that would have bad weeks in Week 1.  I suppose on the bright side, I don't have to get all excited for 10 weeks before I bow out.

See ya'll next year!

Like 25.5% of the rest of you, I need A.Brown to keep scoring. My entry was only 0.45 above cutline prior to game.

Here's my team who lost Keenan Allen.  You never know, it's a long season.

I can't imagine why anyone wouldn't have Spencer Ware at his price.
  Well sure, but that's much easier to say after he blew up this week.  Charles was practicing, albeit in a limited fashion, for at least the week leading up to week 1.  Coaches play games and I'm still optimistic that Charles is the guy for much of the season.  Maybe it's because I have Charles in other leagues and I'm biased toward Charles being the guy this year.  If Ware only has that one big game, then it's a wasted $8.  It's a long season.

But yeah, in hindsight and at this very moment, I most definitely wish I had Ware on my team.

9.45 above the cutline. Its moved by less than half a point for the half.Hope to wake up in the morning and still be in this thing.

HO LEE CRAP

If the Igomatic is right I made it by 0.85!

Thank you for the flaming turd of a game Rams and 49ers!!! :excited:
