At some point the combo of J Gordon, Decker and an irrelevant Funchess will probably kill me.  The last three weeks I have counted only two WRs and the second guy has produced only 10.2, 9.8, and 3.4 points.

I just realized that in 5 weeks, no single player has counted each week.

Used 4 times (all-stars) $14 - Marvin Jones & San Diego Defense

Used 3 times (solid contributors) $76 - Matt Stafford, Spencer Ware, Brandon Marshall, Amari Cooper, Michael Thomas, Jesse James   & Nick Folk

Used 2 times (sleepers) $80 - LeVeon Bell, DeAngelo Williams, James White, Christine Michael, Chris Hogan, Delanie Walker & Eric Ebron

Used 1 time (participation award) $35 - Kirk Cousins, Case Keenum  , Alfred Morris, Vance McDonald, Matt Prater, Ryan Succop & KC Chiefs

Used 0 times (dead weight) $45 - Jamaal Charles :bag: , Josh Gordon, Andrew Franks & Cleveland Defense

Oooh. Guessing it's the "top 500" link. I'm just outside the top 5 after 4 weeks - 757.25 for me vs 766.7 for #500. That's a cool feature. Good week this week, see if I get closer to making the list.
Thanks for pointing that out. I never noticed that link. I was just wondering this morning where I'd rank cumulatively. Now I know. 374th despite missing Martin, Abdullah, Decker, Cook, and Virgil (26.8% of budget).

90 points out of 500th place :bag:

But my team has picked up the pace at least with its 3rd straight week in the 180s.

It's a marathon, not a sprint.  Except for at the end...then it's a sprint...but not an all out sprint, kinda like an 800m.  You know what I mean.

You are one of the elite few... only 14 of the original 119 Jamaal Charles owners are still alive. JC was a roster killer this year. Was wondering if anyone in this thread was a survivor!

Hyde and Minnesota are my only two selections used 4 weeks.

Tim Hightower, Alfred Morris, Torrey Smith, Jared Cook, Virgil Green, and Tampa account for $36 of dead weight. I'm sure they'll get the memo and contribute soon. Bye weeks are looming.

I only have three guys that haven't counted, but they hurt and will likely be the death of me soon.

Used 5 times: Jordan Reed

Used 4:  Isaiah Crowell, Ware, Antonio Brown, Travis Benjamin

Used 3:  Kelce, Sturgis, Pathers D

Used 2:  Cousins, Stafford, Alex Smith, James White, Cooks, Mike Wallace, Jesse James, Prater

Used Once:  Abdullah, Ted Ginn, Chris Hogan, 49ers D, Bears D

Not Used:  Langford $17, Foster $12, Barth $3

$32 bucks in dead money including my 2 of my 3 most expensive RBs. If you count Abdulla, my top 3 RB's have been completely worthless.  Oof.  This is the first time I've gone with 3 QBs. It seems to be working so far.

Really wish I can have my Watkins and Jared Cook money back.  $30 worth.

Derrick Henry, Shaun Draughn, Chris Thompson, Chris Johnson, Ware, McKinnon and Michael are my RB's woof.

Weeks used.

Wow.  Lotta donuts.

Here's a list of guys I really wish I had included:

QB - Brady, Wentz

RB - Demarco Murray, Devontae Booker

WR - Sammie Coates, Mike Wallace, Quincy Enunwa

TE - Greg Olsen

PK - Adam Vinatieri

DEF - Minnesota

I heavily considered Brady, Booker & Olsen.  The rest weren't on my radar.  Really pissed I missed out on Enunwa.

This is the first year I went cheap on the QBs ($22 on Winston, Wentz, Keenum) so that I could get better depth at RB/WR. I'm at 130 on the overall rankings, so it is working for now. I just don't feel good about my chances lasting with those 3 though.

One thing I've lucked out on is that I only have 3 players that haven't contributed to a weekly total: Funchess, Stills and James White.

Scrolling above my team it sure seems like a lot of those high teams have smaller rosters. Does anyone know if the winners usually end up having the smaller rosters? I have 25 on mine.

Had my best week of the season with Brady back, putting up 209. Survived the Brady/Bell/Gordon/Graham gambit. David Johnson & Antonio Brown are my MVPs so far, CMike and Jesse James my best value buys. Josh Gordon, Rashad Jennings, Derrick Henry, Devin Funchess, and Virgil Green looking like $42 worth of busts, though that could change for all but 1 of them. My 4 kicker lineup has been coming through for me, my 4 defenses not so much. Scoring so far:

My WhatIf? roster is doing eerily similarly, even though the only overlap is Brady, Bell, Edelman, and PKs/DSTs. It has 20 points more than my actual roster, with a similar weekly pattern including 223 this week.

5 times: d Murray, m gordan

4 times: m Ryan, buffalo d

3 times: t Coleman, w fuller

2 times: c Michael, a cooper, p garçon, k stills, j written, c clay, m Bryant, j Myers

1 time: a dalton, g Bernard, a Abdullah, m Floyd, t Lockett, m Sanu, d Adams, r Rodgers, s janikowski, Falcons d

0 times: j flacco, c west, d funchess, steelers d

Lots of flaws as I look at it like this but so far it's working out. Wish I would have hit on consistent mid price WR or 2 like I did with RBs but plan was really about having a lot of potential and only needing 2 or 3 each week step up. Of course, this same theory has bit me in the butt most years when I have a week when none of my WRs produce on me. So far wish I could drop Bernard and re-use his money to upgrade the WRs. If Cooper would step up, I'd appreciate it.

5 -- Crabtree, Olsen, Bryant

4 -- Ma. Jones

3 -- Forte, Powell, Michael, Fuller, Beasley

2 -- Ryan, Stafford, Jets, Texans

1 -- Brady, Foster, McKinnon, Floyd, A. Johnson, Corey Brown, Hooper, Titans

0 -- Jennings, Morris, Hurns, Eifert, Escobar, Succup, Boswell

Feels like a lot of 1's and 0's.

The field as a whole shifted to bigger rosters this year so this is kind of meaningless, but this is the earliest the larger rosters are swamping the smaller rosters.  20 has caught 19 and 22 knocking on the door of 21.

I'm stunned I survived Week 5. I have 9 WR rostered, and between byes and injuries, I scored Dorsett/4.6...and nothing else. Bennett/James/Henry saved my bacon.

Going forward:

Brees/Rivers/Osweiler

Bernard/Michael/Powell...ChWest,,,Sims

Hurns/Floyd/Lockett/MThomas/Dorsett/Stills/Rodgers...Moncrief...Decker

Bennett/Gates/Henry/James/VGreen

Prater/Hopkins/Rams/Raiders

This was a draft/unfinished entry, as I got busy with the Dynasty League I run, and blew the deadline. I went with the idea that Zampese was going to heavily utilize Gio, Rawls was a JAG, Charles was done being Charles and Powell/Sims were going to evenly split with Forte/Martin. If I'd have finished this out, Woodhead and Riddick would have been in my mix. I went with a lot of #2/3 WR in what I felt were going to be prolific pass offenses: Jags, Cards, Jets, Saints, Steelers, Colts, mixed with a couple of HR-hitters (Lockett, Stills). I think I was trying to fit KAllen in. Had a great feeling about Bennett, a terrible feeling about LGreen (James) and wanting whatever I could get out of the SD TE. Definitely was trying to fit on one more PK, and perhaps 1 more D/ST. I think I can hang around a bit longer, but not much...although making it out of this week reminds me that anything's possible...

29 on my roster, a lot of dead weight though.  My time is coming however not many with 29 left.  If those with 18 and stud lineups have an off week, that 1,092 could be trimmed.

I'm not long for contest either having lost Peterson and L Murray doing nothing which leaves me with only other productive backs in Blount and R Mathews.

While I spent good money at the top three WR positions, I'm thinking there's so many injuries and so much year-to-year variance at the RB position it doesn't make sense to spend a lot on your top three RBs. Yes, David Johnson owners are happy. But ask the owners of Adrian Peterson, Jamaal Charles, Todd Gurley, Lamar Miller how they feel about spending that money. I think this will correct a bit as the weather gets colder and the passing subsides a bit. But it feels like RB is too volatile to overspend on. Thoughts?

They probably feel a lot like the owners of K. Allen, Watkins,  Montcrief, Dez Bryant, Beckham, and Robinson feel.

Gordon and evans - every week

Derrick Henry, RG3, AlfMo, j gordon, Funchess and v green have been a waste of money

Looking forward, rg3, ware, Morris, gordon, Eli Rogers, and v green are probably dead money and will get me knocked out.

Best value has been wallace, without whom I'd have been booted week 2 (he was 8.5 above my next score, I survived by 8.2)

I have some hope for Morris and Clay to possibly chip in if I can stick around.

I know what you mean. But it feels like you can draft six pretty solid WRs for a lot less than six really solid RBs.

I know next year (if I can remember) I'm going for quantity at the position over top guys.
Seems like good risk management.

Pretty happy with my split studs/gems approach at RB:
David Johnson and Gordon

McKinnon, Ware, and Michael

Losing K. Allen's injury and M. Floyd's no show killed my WR crew though:

A. Brown, Marvin Jones, Shepard and Funchess.

Comfortably through to next week with Winston and Evans on bye and Sims, Allen and Gordon gone from my team.

Bump...where is everyone today?
Looks to possibly be my worst week yet - currently a little over 153 with Michael Floyd and Will Fuller to go at about -12.5. Cut currently sitting at about 128. Hopefully I'm safe but not as comfortable as I wish. In like 2800th place out of 5000 so hopeful the line doesn't catch up too much.

Welp, not looking good. Sitting at 123 with Folk -12 and David Johnson - 7.9. My young gun QB trio of Bortles, Winston and Lynch not looking great right now.

Not looking good for me either this week.  Only at 106.95 headed into SNF and MNF.

Need big games out of Luck, DJ, Marshall, and HOU or NYJ D.

Looks like I am done just 4.5 above cutline with just Folk - 7.9 left.  Getting very little out of Gurley and A Brown dooming me.  Really only Brady came up big for me today.

Moving on with over 191 and still have Brandon Marshall & Nick Folk to play.

My team was led by the dynamic duo of Case Keenum (33.75 pts) & James White (26.6). :loco:

141.25, 8.5 ahead of the cut line at the 2-minute warning on Monday. Only Nick Folk -12 going on Monday night. Probably enough to get me through to next week  (Thank you, Julio and Spencer Ware) but I really need Cutler back, can't survive many more weeks of only Wentz at QB.
