Since when has that guy let a little thing a like a finger stop him?

Profar, playing for the Netherlands, finished play in Pool A with a .545 average (6-for-11), a team-leading 1.583 OPS, a home run and three RBIs. The Netherlands went 2-1 in Pool A to advance to the second round, which begins this weekend in Tokyo.

I remember a few years back looking at the waiver wire for a MI and contemplating Profar vs. Dozier. I opted for Dozier and the rest, much like Profar's prospects to be useful, is history.

Day in the life of a Jew who has checked out;

-Wake up at 10a

-Spoon with dog till 11a

-Go to great clips with coupon for 7.99 harrcut, find out they have 6.99 special (3- tip)

-Go to supermarket, buy off price produce for salad

-Go to Kohls, make even exchange for new item after claiming returned item was a xmas and you 'lost' the receipt

-Get 6- in gas (need to save some cash for lunch)

-Use remaining 3- in wallet for 2 tacos at filthy taco truck

-Go to car wash, use $5- coupon you got from business when you tried to go for 3- wash before 10a but they were closed for free car wash.

-Back home and spoon with dog.

What were you gonna tip for the haircut if it was $7.99?

Side note :  I now get my haircut by some neighborhood girl in her basement (sister of kids friends Mom).  She charges $15 and I usually give her $20.  Question is should I really be tipping?  It's a side job for her and it's not like she's giving part of that $15 to an owner to pay for overhead and whatnot.

Anyway she's hot so I don't really mind tipping her but just curious what proper protocol is in that situation

you shouldn't be tipping someone working out of their house, but you have already set a president, so no going back now slick.

Reading this makes me happy I'll never be able to retire.

My wife cuts my hair now.  I've officially given up.

If Sonny Gray’s 2017 is going to go better than his 2016, then it’s doing a good job of pretending otherwise.

Gray, the diminutive right-hander who has served as the Oakland Athletics ace the past few seasons, is coming off a miserable season. His 2017 hasn’t started any better. Recently, he was denied insurance coverage to pitch in the World Baseball Classic , and Wednesday he allowed seven runs and uncorked three wild pitches over two innings of work . On Thursday, Gray got worse news -- he’ll be shut down for the next three weeks due to a strained lat:
:kicksrock:

Did not see that one coming.

don't worry, he's going to cash in the hoops leeg.  we'll just hold his winnings from that (assuming X didn't spend it all on his haircut)

We're into cobalt now?  What happened to ruthenium?
Yeah, that didn't really work out so well.   I mean, it did at first, but then it completely fell apart.  We have sold just about every last ounce of minor metals in our inventory and put all the proceeds in high grade electrolytic cobalt.  Balance in an equity portfolio associated with battery materials.  We got a little mention in Bloomberg yesterday.

Some analysts have cautioned that the cobalt market is in danger of overheating. While deficits will “undoubtedly” support higher prices over the year, there’s a risk that slowing demand and profit-taking by hedge funds could push prices lower in the second quarter, according to Edward Spencer, a senior consultant at CRU.

That’s not deterring Bob Mitchell, a Tualatin, Oregon-based managing member at Portal Capital, who began buying physical metal for his Green Energy Metals Fund when prices were below $11 per pound ($24,250 per ton). Mitchell still views the market as cheap relative to historical averages and expects prices will be higher this time next year, he said.
Cobalt priced today at $25.25/Lb or $55,650 per metric tonne
