2017 FBG Subscriber Contest is LIVE (1 Viewer)

JuJu Smith almost single handedly moved me 970 spots. I was at the cut line, now I'm ranked 2037.
I still have K Hunt left. A Brown(12 points) replaced N Agholer (5.6 points). At the beginning of the
contest 113 people owned JuJu, it's now down to 29. I thought I was out when my D, K , and TE
score 15 points combined. My entry number is 108345 with 5 of my RB's being rookies Hunt.
Kamara, McCaffrey, Cohen, and Mack. This contest might be the only reason why I still subscribe.

13 over the cut with all but 1 of hunt counting I'm safe ...... right ?
Yup.  Got figure that Hunt isn't counting for most until he gets at least 6 points.  That gives you an 18 point cushion.  A 10 pt line move (excluding Hunt would be one of the higher Monday night cutline moves.  Mid 120s to mid 130s is historical the cut range for this later heavy bye weeks.

Good to here! Curious how you came up with the 6 number to start counting for hunt owners?

It's funny how the season works. At the start, weeks 8 and 9 looked riskiest. Week 8 might be my highest score yet and 9 no longer looks horrible with Gordon, Cohen, Cooks and Hogan out, but presumably most have similar or better players out.

week 10 without Hunt or Ertz would look scary, but 2,000 of us remaining have them both so they're less important than having some depth. Presumably the herd will thin some.

So, I was legit worried today - sitting right on the cut line after the early games.  I do have Hunt (-8.7), so I figured I need to be about 10 points above the cutline after the late games to be in the chase tomorrow night.

I had:

Wilson (-18.25) - I figured maybe 25 points +7
Richardson (-7.6) - I thought he might get 9, +1.5
Graham (-7.6, -15.7) - did not figure he would be a factor with all the trade stuff
Walsh - only K active hoping he would get 7-9 points
Sea D (-5) Hoping for 1-2 points here.

So, I was hoping for 15-20 additional points, but the cut line only moving 7-8 points.  The cut line moved about 7 points, but obviously all of those guys went crazy, and now I sit in the top-200, and easily advancing.  Crazy game.
Just as a quick exercise, I calculated where I would be if those players had "average" weeks:  I would be at 118.55, about a point below the cutline, with Hunt (-8.7) still to go.

Happy for crazy no-defense games.....

Yep definitely screwed! I'm not sure I even can make it but it will be painful either way.

125.75 = 5.9 over the cut with Hunt counting at -5.2 that's it that's all folks

have to assume a handful have Hunt at Zero and others not counting till 12-15 I think I'm gonna be kicked out by less than 2-3 points but still kicked out.

149.45 with Hunt (-9.10), made it through another week!

Next week I'll be without some big contributors like Bell, who's counted 7/8 weeks, Hogan 5/8, and Rudolph 4/8. Will also be without Kendall Wright, Zane Gonzalez, and Browns D. Hunt and Powell will be my only 2 RBs, and I'll only have 1 kicker. I honestly think I should be good since I feel like almost everyone is having similar issues!

2pts above the cutline with Hunt and Tyreek. I think I'll be safe... See how it goes tonight

I think you'll be fine. Other than Hunt, who's going to move the line a ton? You'll likely be using more Hunt points than most.

14.60 above the cut with Hunt left. No way I should still be alive with this garbage. Saints D saved me a couple weeks ago. The Seattle trio saved me yesterday. Come back, DJ!

Fun Activity!!!!

who is your least owned player on surviving teams.....
As of now my Moncrief slighly edged out Taywan Taylor 41 to 42 neither of whom helped anyone this week. I used both this season just once and both in week 6 which was my closest cut line. I'd have made it without one of them, not without both that week, they were only two WR's of mine to go over 10 points.

Still alive with the likes of Dalvin Cook, Corey Coleman, Moncrief, Martavis Bryant , and Devante Parker as double digit cost YTD busts. Add in $8 Charles Clay and fact I only went with two QB's, one who is a bust(Big Ben) and the other wildly inconsistent(Cam) and both scary as could be to rely on.  Good to be alive, but that's a ton of turds in the punch bowl, it'll get me to soon enough.

Pulled the number out of my butt.  Just felt right.

Just went back and looked at the first 11 entries below the cut (all within 0.20 of the cut).  10 Hunt owners, the 11th non-Hunt owner is done and eliminated.  On average Hunt starts counting at 5.7 pts.  It's 6.7 if you look at the median.

214 owners within 5 pts of making the cut.

275 owners clear of the cut line by 5 pts.

484 owners clear of the cut line by 10 pts which encompasses 12.1% of the field.

22.5% getting eliminated this week.

If Hunt scores 10 points, you should see the cut line .8 to .9 for every point he accumulates there after.  Initially it should be moving in the .4 range.

At 133.55 with Hunt and West to go. Am I going to make it?
Two of the 3 most owned and a 14pt lead and both count from zero you "should" be no where near the cut by the final snap. Lol guys are saying I might make with with a 6pt lead and only Hunt -5.5 (I'm not as optimistic) if you would like to trade situations I'd be game though ; ) best friend of luck tonight. You won't need it.

You're a real "glass is half empty" guy, aren't you? You've got Hunt in the black now, right? And you're 4-5 over the cutline?
Yep now playing the chase 4.8 above Hunt counting

best was 350 people behind, closest was 120 and now at 180 people below me.

i drank the whole glass at half time.

With injuries I don’t know how much longer I’ll last in the contest, but at least the strategy to pay $4 for QB JimmyG in case he got traded solidifies a position I don’t really need help at now. But yay!

mine was Mccoy @ 182

This was shocking but explains my ability to stay above the cut lately even going a week without a QB. I now know who is my best bet to cheer for if mccoy throws up a big game I'm good if he throws up a goose egg or goes down I'm likely out.

DJ is down to just above 500 owners left lol.
Mine is Robert Woods @ 18. No love for Woods.

I have Prescott too, along with Stafford.
Lol trade you for Prescott and Bradford ~face palm~ no clue how I'm still alive (Shady and Ertz are the reason) with just shy of 90$ not playing right now, not including byes.

Bradford 7

DJ 39

Pryor 18

Bryant 16

Galloday 3

Santos 4
