The Turk is like Mack in this game....

im down to 9 points under, bears, Howard and Burton are now counting.

Lockett -5 still

I need some serious big plays to get me there in the second half, my only bright side is the cut line isn’t jumping at all. So if I can get a burton or Howard TD I’ll be in good shape. I’m gonna guess Mack racked up a few more for me as well.

Never cut before week 8 in 12 years and always due to massive injury (normally 0 QB) and a few times make it to playoffs, a couple times week 10+ but this year.... week 2 could be the end lol.

Congrats, but you really should save some of those points for later.
Yeah, I'm having a team meeting tomorrow to tell Gurley, Hill, Juju, Kelce and my motley assortment of 3 QBs (Dalton, Carr, Keenum) to pump the brakes a bit. It's a marathon, not a sprint.

I'm just pissed I don't have Josh Gordon on my team since it sounds like he should break all WR records in the 14 remaining games now that he's a Patriot (I'll see myself out.... ;)

I am 0.6 below the cut.

I have J Howard who needs 3 points to get me to the cut

Burtom - counting as my TE, so need him to score 1 point.

YIKES!

I just looked at all 250 teams that made it to the big show last year.  Guess how many of the 250 teams rostered either 2, 3, or 4 QB's?
I forgot to answer my own question here - the answer is...  All of them.

Hold all tickets - Calcomatic is NOT official of course and sometimes there are adjustments before the scores are official as well.

My condolences to who the Turk grabbed over me, Got a big game (actually 2nd half) from everyone I needed Lockett, Burton and Bears D catapulted me above the cut to 182 before the game I was 11 under.

No major injuries to blame here’s hoping, my QB’s prove they are the best and my RB’s to get on this.

I believe the Bears D was the best 5 dollars spent this year!

So the kicker carousel churns.

318 (minus this week's cuts) Dan Bailey owners are back in the mix.

730 (minus cuts) Zane Gonzalez owners are a little thinner now.

1722 (minus cuts) Carlson owns have the same problem.

(And pity the 63 entries that have both of the above).

1461 (minus cuts) Zuerlein owners have to sweat a few weeks without him and at $6 there cannot be much backup in most of those cases.

Well duh...this is why you draft 10 kickers.

Rank: 4005 (Score: 199.6)

Had good scores not count like Elliot, and Locket which could be good during buy week

My QBs will be my down fall Winston not looking good, Flacco wont score 30 a week, and Manning looks horrible

Awards and notable teams of the week.

Strongest Living Team: Through week 2, 2660 teams averaging at least 200 points per week. All but 12 of those teams are still alive. Entry 103282 leads the pack, averaging 247.55 points.

Strongest Dead Team: Kid Glove (Entry 107595) is one of those 12 dead teams averaging over 200, at 211.28. Unfortunately, this team missed the cutoff by just over a point this week.

Keep Your Day Job Award: nicktown1 (Entry 114335) had the second-lowest score in week 1 and the lowest score in week 2. This team is averaging 85.775 points and is one of only two teams averaging under 100. The other is TurboPower (Entry 113105). Both of those teams are gimmick teams with many QBs (13 for nicktown1, 20 for TurboPower) and fewer than 7 RB+WR+TE, meaning they could never have a full complement of scoring players. The worst team that looks legitimate is Entry 100799, averaging 102.38 points per week.

Safest Team: NutFlush (Entry 106341) has cleared the cutoff by at least 83.25 points each week so far.

Just Skating By Award: TB Thunderbolts (Entry 110634) is the only team to clear the cutoff by less than a single point, 2 weeks in a row. This team survived by 0.95 points in week 1 and 0.7 points in week 2.

Icarus Award: Entry 104701 had the 7th-highest score in the contest in week 1, only to crash and burn in week 2, missing the cutoff by 3.55 points. Looking at the team, the TEs were its downfall, with Gronkowski scoring 4.5 and the other 2 TEs getting shut out.

Woulda Coulda Shoulda Award: Entry 110017 was eliminated in week 1, missing the cutoff by 3 points. This team plays for pride, though, and came back with the 4th-highest score of week 2, at 260 even.

Notable Teams:

QBs: All the teams with 13 or more QBs are now eliminated. There is one surviving 12-QB team, Entry 112121. Five 11-QB teams are still with us.

RBs: The 13-RB team was eliminated this week. There are two 12-RB teams (Entry 102705 and Sooner Magic (Entry 110209)) and they’re both alive.

WRs: No change from last week: both 16-WR teams (Entry 105027 and Entry 101917) survived.

TEs: The only 9-TE team, Entry 105020, survived again.

PKs: Last week, a 19-K team survived. Well, they were eliminated this week. There is one team with 12 kickers still alive, Entry 101549.

DEFs: Wow, the 16-D team, Entry 114203, is still with us. That is really impressive, given that the team with the next most defenses, 11, was eliminated last week, and the two 9-D teams have both been eliminated. That’s right, Entry 114203 has twice as many defenses as any other surviving team.

And me, you ask? I’m alive, but near the bottom: among the 11,000 living teams, I’m in 9857th place.

More to come later...

Great stuff.  Looking forward to more late.  Hopefully your team survives a long time so you are motivated to keep doing this.

And now the players:

The Biggest Mistake: The overall player survival rate is 74%. But only 25% of teams that rostered A.J. McCarron are alive. But only 12 teams had him rostered. Subjectively, I’m going with Le’Veon Bell as the biggest mistake. He cost a ton, was rostered by 330 teams and only 44% of those teams are still around. Andrew Luck is another contender (over 1000 teams, under 60% survival rate).

The Survivor: Patrick Mahomes is the only guy with a survival rate greater than 90% (he’s at 91.5%). Ryan Fitzpatrick, who was at 100% in week 1 and had another stellar week 2, shockingly collapsed: his survival rate is down to 76%, just over the contest average. Not quite sure why that would be.

The Bargain: No surprise here. James Conner cost only $4 and has the second-highest survival rate at 88.9%

The Parasite: John Kelly hasn’t scored a single point yet (and in fact has been inactive for both games), and yet he has an 81.4% survival rate, well over the average.

The Martyr: Russell Wilson has scored 31.4 and 24 points in the two weeks so far and yet has a survival rate of only 55%. Only one player with a lower survival rate has scored 24 points total so far (Demaryius Thomas, who’s scored 25.1 points on the season and has a survival rate of 54.5%).

Amazing that over a 1/4 of us are gone already.

204 in week 1, 198 in week 2

My RB's are gonna be the death of me, unless ARI can find a way to get DJ more involved.  Also need Aaron Jones to take over the GB backfield sooner rather than later.  Barber was cheap, but has been quite pedestrian.  Here's to hoping Bell holds out all 10 weeks, then shows up and rides the pine.  Also, I wish this Lindsay clown would back off.  Week 4 will see my first bye with CMC.

Only chose 1 double digit $ WR, and he has yet to score a point for me (Goodwin).  Getting my 2 flex scores each week from the cheap WR's.

<Sigh> Gordon to Pats. I can’t think of a better situation for him. That’s going to be big for those of us w/ him.*

*By “us” I mean the other people who have him who are advancing.
On the other hand, with Gordon there and Edelman returning soon, it's getting awful crowded at WR in NE.  Those cheap points from Patterson and Dorsett may be disappearing. He could also impact redzone looks to Gronk.

A few more teams you have to root for...

- 6 out of 61 entries made the week 2 cut with only 2 WR's.  I have put them in order of my favorites, based on the rest of their team.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2018/114272.php - The only remaining team with only 2 RB's and 2 WR's.  Week 3 he will be assured 2 goose eggs.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2018/104294.php - To only roster 2 WR's is crazy, but to have those WR's on the same team is completely insane.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2018/107138.php - If you go with only 2 WR's, at least make them both studs.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2018/104887.php - This guy is averaging over 206 pts, and must count all 4 RB's and his only TE each week.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2018/109506.php - TE's?  He doesn't need any stinking TE's.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2018/105491.php - In Deshaun he trusts.

Honorable mention goes to the team below.  Spending only $13 on 2 RB's and making it to week 3 is amazing.

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/contest/2018/104051.php

18 player teams beat up again this week survival rate 63.27%.  990 eliminated week 2.

29 player teams had highest survival rate with 82.27%.  38 eliminated in week 2.

Checking in with 218 this week. Not bad. My RBs are going to be really suspect, though. I sort of dropped the ball on Conner when all along I thought Bell would hold out and I went with Jeremy Hill instead instead of Conner -- they were similar in price, enough to adjust a kicking or D/ST budget. Total lapse in forgetting to set my roster one last time, or that would have changed.  At least I have Kamara, Powell, and another starter, though I'm forgetting who it was. But I also roster Carson, and that doesn't look like it's shaking out so great.

Anyway, my receivers are strong. I forgot how much I believed in Tyreek Hill and Smith-Schuster and Stefon Diggs as the guys to have at that value, and my money did the talking, as have they.

1727 Fournette owners, 822 Mixon owners, and 267 Devonta owners gonna be sweating it the next few weeks.

13 Guice owners still active, as are 47 McKinnon owners, and 143 Bell owners.

Take a guess at which high scorer was rostered on the most and least eliminated teams in Week 2, then highlight the white text to see if you were right!

RB1 Todd Gurley - 339 ($37)
RB2 Melvin Gordon - 97 ($30)
WR1 Stefon Diggs129 ($22)

Fun fact - there were 105 people who chose RB Conner, WR's Cole, Godwin, & John Brown, and CHI D

All 105 are still alive!  Glad to be in this group.

Need same by percentage of ownership ;)

Don't be meh on the kickers :)

I like 2 of yours (Butker and Lambo).  And Carlson will be great at that price as long as he doesn't lose the job.

-QG
That's why I worried about Carlson.  And why you can't be meh picking kickers - too many hazards out there.

Same reason I balked before taking Sturgis.  In the end, I took a chance and grabbed him for 3 bucks.  It was my one homer pick of the contest, and he is in a great offense in nice weather.  Hopefully Caleb doesn't get "the boot" too.

I have all five of those and Mahomes
Haha, yes Daisy, I recognized the name as I was sorting.  Our teams are very similar.  We also share Rivers, McCaffrey, Freeman, Goodwin, Lockett, Gallup, Ross, Taylor, Burton, Lambo, Fairbairn, and CLE.  I also saw Elevencents had this combo.  I passed on Mahomes because of his late bye, not because I thought he was bad value.  Went with the combo of Ben (7), Rivers (8), and Eli (9).

4 kickers may be the right call if you're a moron (me) and pick rookie ones that get cut (Carlson).

Fortunately Mahomes and my "one of Kelce or Gronk must surely go off each week" strategy is working through two weeks.
