On a side note,  I'm one of three that still has fournette, Olsen, Jeremy hill....  :missing:
Ouch!  Nothing like "Dead Money" !

Nobody can predict injuries, but sometimes luck is fickle.

Hopefully your RB's can pull their weight for you a little better.  Henry has been a dud so far, as has Drake.  It seems the only way Collins will reach 20 pts is by 2 TD's, because his volume has been quite low.  And Lindsay is a thorn for all Freeman owners, myself included.  Kind of funny that you chose 4 fairly expensive RB's, but it's the $4 one that's counted for you all 4 weeks, huh?  If you can hang in there, you will certainly be unique at RB.  You are one of only 2 teams left with the Henry, Drake & Collins trio.  Good luck
Thanks Winz!

Theory was to balance $ vs opportunity.  Knowing Dion Lewis would eat into some of Henry's touches, but I expected more carries for Drake & Collins.  Those GL fumbles are a sure way to lose touches in Harbaugh's world!

Were Barber & Connor the 2 highest selected players? 3000 from over 14,000 entries?  So, about 21% of the entries!

Barber started at 6216 (41.12%), but is now down to 3416.  Conner started at 5417 (35.84%), and was 4th behind Goodwin (5547 - 36.70%) and Cole (5514 - 36.48%).  All the #'s I mentioned were from the 7500 teams still alive.

At only $4, if Conner can get back to his earlier success in the next 2 games vs ATL & CIN, I think he will go over 50% ownership heading into his week 7 bye.

I fear that I may have blown my wad last week. 208 was my highest score to date. I don't see that happening again.

Just checked and I was apparently the only team in the entire contest to pick this combo of players:

Alex Collins

Kenyan Drake

Lamar Miller

Josh Gordon

And I'm (somehow) still alive baby!

QB - Mahomes (2777), Dalton (1778), Rivers (1440), Darnold (1380), Goff (1339)

RB - Barber (3416), Conner (3395), R. Freeman (2767), Breida (2486), McCaffrey (2328)

WR - Cole (3146), Goodwin (2748), Ross (2134), John Brown (2099), Hill (1526)

TE - Burton (2239), Njoku (1458), Goedert (1381), Gronkowski (1017), Eifert (996)

K - Fairbairn (1666), Vinatieri (1338), Butker (1331), Lambo (1139), Lutz (1043)

D - CHI (2554), CLE (1945), MIN (981), LAR (908), JAX (732)

Basically all the RBs haha. None of the WRs.

Lamar Miller
I strongly considered Miller, but the duplicate Week 10 bye with Collins was enough to deter me.  I tried to avoid heavy common bye weeks.  My worst bye issue is also Week 8 - QB M Ryan, RB D Henry, WR J Jones & TE A Hooper.

But Week 8 - I have Brees @ Min & Carr vs Indy to help carry me.

Week 5 Thursday scores and ownership #'s:

QB - Brady (38.95 - 214), Luck (34.25 - 418), Brissett (0.00 - 7) - scored very well, but not out of this world.  Also fairly unique, so won't move the cut line that much.

RB - White (18.70 - 1185), Michel (17.50 - 557), Hines (12.50 - 39), Wilkins (5.80 - 799), Hill (0.00 - 763), Burkhead (0.00 - 516), Mack (0.00 - 82) - no monster games, but 3 good scores considering their price.  White/Michel will move the line up, but Hines is too unique to make much difference.

WR - Rogers (14.6 - 20), Gordon (13.00 - 537), Edelman (12.70 - 251), Grant (11.80 - 367), Patterson (9.10 - 628), Hogan (6.40 - 1059), Dorsett (5.50 - 1154), Hilton (0.00 - 656), Cain (0.00 - 3), Decker (0.00 - 54) - no studly days for a game that saw 103 passes!  Don't think the line will be affected by this bunch.

TE - Ebron (36.00 - 445), Gronkowski (16.50 - 1017), Doyle (0.00 - 451), Hollister (0.00 - 51) - 445 ecstatic Ebron owners.  Gronk did good, not great, considering price.

K - Gostkowski (9.50 - 426), Vinatieri (8.40 - 1338) - nothing to phone home about

D - NE (7.00 - 620), IND (4.00 - 268) - same as above

Overall, only 1 awesome performance from Ebron.  A few very good scores, and a few good scores.  For such a high scoring game, I don't see the cut line as a big mover to start the week.  Going forward, I do see White and Michel making a big difference, and either/both will likely be on many teams making a deep run.

If I make it past this week, I fear week 7 will be my exit. Too many bye's. Gotta pay more attention to that next year.

Some of my guys are showing up on injury reports this week.  WR's Goodwin, Ginn, and Ross (who is already ruled out week 5).  Lockett, Godwin, and John Brown have been carrying my squad thus far, but Godwin is off.  Gotta hope for some decent games from Cole, Gallup, and Taywan Taylor.  Yeah, I went deep & cheap, and of my 9 cheapos I have yet to use Goodwin or Gallup.  Come on guys!

Goodwin is killing a lot of people. Was my highest priced WR.
Mine too, but ain't giving up on him just yet.  Sure, could've been better spent, but he isn't my biggest regret at the moment.  I still think he will put up a few decent games, and perhaps save my bacon in a given week.  Of my 29-man roster, there is only 1 player that I am quite sure will be dead money by the time I am ousted (assuming I last until about week 10 or so), and he just happens to be the most common player in this contest.  I can guarantee 1 thing though - he won't be the most common after this week.  He started with 800 more owners than Conner, but Conner is now just 21 behind him.

Royce Freeman and Rishard Matthews are $26 worth of dead money
Royce may be dead money on your squad, but I did use him in week 3.  He scored 12 points in each of the last 2 weeks.  I have faith that I will use him more as the season goes on.

I'm just being whiney. Royce counted the past two weeks for me. Thought I'd get more production out of him. Hoping Matthews get signed soon

Week 5 early games inactives by ownership #'s:

Ross - 2134

Fournette - 962

Allison - 823

Olsen - 178

Cobb - 175

Engram - 174

Bernard - 168

Bell - 72

Parker - 36

Roberts - 3 (Lions TE, if you were wondering)

Only 1 of my WRs has seen fit to score double figures and neither Dalton or Tannehill did much, putting the burden on Goff, but Conner, Hooper and @QuizGuy66's Bengals D have taken up the slack. Sitting at 158 waiting for my kickers to play and guessing DJ or Zeke can get over my current 8.5 flex score.

sitting at 180 right now pretty much done unless Goff out plays Darnold. and whatever Cook ends up with.

9 of my guys out or bye

Didnt realize how bare bones I was this week with injuries and byes. if I squeak through that would be awesome with Dalvin Cook expected back soon and Olsen

U don’t squeak thru with a 180

sitting at 135.35 with

Hopkins (-7.10) and  Fairbairn (-0.00)

Probably will end up between 150-160. Which will be cutting it very close.

Sitting pretty at 197.2 with a couple chances for improvement.  Haven't had to sweat a cut line yet, just need to keep my core group healthy.

Welp guess you can stick a fork in me.  I am at 138.3.  I have L.Miller who probably won't play at -8.7 and C. Beasley at -8.5.  Also have Hopkins at -9.6.  So I need a monster game out of Beasley and for Hopkins to pull a Gano.

Really stinks to go out this early because I enjoy this contest so much.  Next year I am going to buy 3 subscriptions so I can enter 3 teams.  Good luck to the rest of you guys and gals hope it is someone from this thread that wins it all.

I'll  be sweating it out for the first time this year. I'm exactly 10 over the cut going into Sunday night with Blake Jarwin -9.8 (so nothing there) and Alex Smith -6.45 (hopefully where I pick up some points).  I'm not ready to leave this party yet!

Sitting at 168.7 with meredith -12.6.  Should be enough I am hoping.  Could really use olsen and fournette...

starting to realize what you meant when said 180 doesnt squeak through. I thought you meant i didnt have a chance. i was worried based on some previous cut offs. at this point its clear I should be fine
Yup...you're easily in the top half if not top quarter.  Cutline has moved 2.5 pts this game.

At 164.5 and have Reed tomorrow night (-8).  Should easily advance.

A nice warm welcome for Robby Anderson!

Now I just need an APB on Devonta Freeman.

3976 (Score: 164.3)

Elliot and Fairbairn count now for OT

Richardson -9.8

Redskins -6

Hopkins has to score more than Fairbairn

Should be ok
