2018 FBG Subscriber Contest (1 Viewer)

Come back of the year right here.  The guy is currently sitting in last place, with only 28.1 points.  He is gonna be fun to watch tonite.  I so badly want to see him make it to week 12, don't you?
Yeah, watching this team tonight should be interesting - he's going to start getting points immediately from just about everyone.  And yes, I selfishly want him to make it to next week since he can't advance at that point :)

Been playing this contest for years, have made the playoff's twice, finishing in the low level money range.  I don't remember a game like tonight's with two high power teams playing each other on Monday Night so late in the season who both have a bye  the following week.  I intentionally front load my bye weeks so I don't have Rams or KC players (well technically, I do have KC def on my team).  So like other have mentioned, I am rooting hard for a high scoring game so that most of the teams that count on Mahomes/Goff/Gurley/Kelce move on to make next week.  That should make next weeks  cut so much easier to achieve and advance.  This could also really mix up/spread out the players that are in the teams that make the playoff rounds and make them very interesting (provided my team can stay alive until then).   Good Luck to all that are still in the contest.  I don't post often, but really enjoy the strategy and the cut line tracking posts by everyone.

It's hard to be optimistic when your high scorer is you PK, but this team does have 11 KC/LAR player going tonight!  This team has not been within 20 of Cut Line all year (closest was Wk 10 at 24.15) & 5x over 200 pts

It could be a struggle with his players all causing the line to move.  It's like he could score well but this causes the line to be perpetually out of reach?!?

If his Rams and Chiefs just hit their weekly averages he's sitting around 174 after tonight, so it should be interesting to watch.

If he can make it to week 12, he has a fighting chance...

RB - Latavius Murray - best game ever was 20/114/3 and 1 catch for 13 yards = 31.20 points

WR - Rishard Matthews - best game ever was 11/120/2 = 35.00 points

WR - Mohamed Sanu - best game ever was 10/120/1 = 28.00 points

WR - Donte Moncrief - best game ever was 3/134/2 = 28.40 points

TE - Jimmy Graham - best game ever was 9/134/2 = 38.90 points

K - Wil Lutz - best game ever was 6 EP's, and FG's of 29, 41, and 42 yards = 17.30 points

178.80 points is not impossible   :D

Ah, but what's Jimmy Graham's best game ever while playing with a broken thumb?  ;)

There is 1 minor problem with this potential outcome.....  Jimmy Graham is out for a little while (out 4-6 weeks with a broken thumb).

But otherwise, the odds of winning the Powerball are about the same as this team's chance of advancing!

So you're saying there's a chance?

Getting my playbook ready.  The Bears game plan clearly was to avoid using Burton at all costs (except for that big gainer brought back with 2 penalties).

So I'm still at 141.55 with just (Butker - 13.90) left (barring the miracle of John Kelly suiting up).  Cut is already up to 132.45.  There's just no way :(

:suds:   With you brother.  Burton actually counts for me this week nudging out Seals. At 142 with Goff -30.8

Don't think there's any number of Butker field goals that will make up for the rest of the offensive numbers getting put up.

Down 2 points and getting everything from Hill/Kelce/Mahomes/Butker from here on out. I should be good.

Not bad for being down 25 points earlier.

134.6 started

Now 149.4

14.8 in a first half, 20 in second half with both QB now scoring?
Actually at some point in time it will decelerate as the teams risking week 12 bye players all zoom past the cut and only teams w/o Chiefs/Rams are left behind.

If you have a safe number right now this is what you want to happen - strong Chiefs and Rams 2nd half which props up those teams going into next week where they have a big disadvantage.

Started out the night down 112.85/134.6...going into 2H down 133.7/149.4. I get everything Mahomes/Tyreek do the rest of the way, but still a long shot.

At this rate, I may be out of this contest before the 4th quarter. I took a risk by not selecting any Chiefs or Rams players and it is not looking good.

Yeah, I'm at 155 and have Goff (-25.45) and Kelce (-14).  I'm thinking that cut line is going to get awfully close before they start to add to my total. Sure wish that DJ 57-yd. TD run at the end of their game hadn't been called back.  :ptts:
Cut line got to within 4 points of my total but now Goff is scoring for me. One more catch and Kelce will start chipping in. Going to be tight.

The Kelce TD line move convinced me that I have nothing left to live for. I needed him to outrun the Turk by 14, but there’s no way that happens.  In the words of Kramer, “I’m out!”  Sleep beckons.

A couple of postscripts:

This year was my best finish ever.  I can’t wait to use what I learned next year (yeah, I know,,,)

i did learn that if you draft seven WRs, and only two of them score - not even count, just score - you will likely lose.  Thank you Landry, Taylor, Cole, Allison, and Cowboy bust T Williams.  And to the highly-owned Brown/Ross combo, you weren’t much help, either.

it hurts less to get knocked out early.

i won all three of my season-long leagues this week, clinching playoffs in two of them.  It feels hollow.

Best of luck to all who remain.  My most fervent hope is that someone on the boards takes the whole thing.

Until next year...
