Tonight we’ve got on paper what would be a nondescript December OOC game maybe televised locally, and a good Orange Bowl matchup.

And I can’t wait to watch every minute of both games.

I know he's not a great coach and he drives Cappy crazy, but I'm gonna defend Hamilton a little. Or, at least, the kind of coach he is.

I think, if I were a hoops fan of one of the CFB mega-powers, Hamilton and his ilk are about the best kind of coach to hope for. Sure, you might catch lightening in a bottle with a guy like Billy Donovan (though, UF ain't so much a football power anymore), but a guy like that is looking to bolt as soon as he can because he knows he'll always be playing second fiddle.

Hamilton has won a #### ton of games and always has tournament-worthy teams. He put Miami basketball on the map (then bilked the Wizards out of millions). In the modern CBB era - other than Pat Kennedy drunkenly stumbling into a great team that disappeared in two years - he IS FSU basketball.

Florida 12 years ago was a fluke. I suspect most FBS behemoths like FSU would rather be football powers than basketball powers, given the choice. Hamilton wins 20+ games per year, is competitive in a great league, and is always at least sniffing around the post-season at a school where spring practice is the 2nd-most important event of the year.

Tried to place a large wager on Kansas State but couldn’t get it through before tip off  .  Guess I’m rooting for Loyola now!

Forgot Weber coached the Illinois team that went to the Championship game.  Illinois hasn't done squat since then.  Pretty damn good accomplishment if goes to another Final 4 and this time with K-State.

The Illini run was made mostly with Bill Self's recruits.

But Weber is a Milwaukee guy.   Our fathers were lifelong friends.  KSU is definitely the team I'm pulling for now.

The chubby white kid with a receding hairline for Loyola is my favorite player in college basketball. I would wear his jersey.

:lmao:   I can’t believe a team with two starters from Blue Valley Northwest has the lead in a regional final.

:lmao:   And the team in their way is Kansas State.

I love March Madness.

KSUs half court offense is terrible.  Everyone stand around and watch one person dribble around.

KSUs half court defense is terrible.  Everyone stand around and watch your man.  Seriously, they have defenders face guarding people right now.

I think Sister Jean saved me some hookers and blow   :moneybag:  money  :moneybag:  by not letting me get that Kansas State bet off earlier!! Thanks Sister Jean!  :headbang:
