Correct. Preseason voting is based on who we think will have the best season. We’ll do a free fantasy league to track stats (and seed teams for post-season tourney). Then we’ll do post-season voting/tournament after how the season went.

I agree. I think Giannis is in a bit of a tier by himself, then there is somebody I would have at the top of the next tier but not high enough to be in his own tier. After #2, I'd have to think about it a lot and salaries would start to play more into my decision making process.

DRAFT PLAN
- No clock for first round, which starts whenever the file is ready. Don’t be a loser and disappear.
- After the first round, we’ll use a 1hour clock that runs from 7am Pacific / 10am Eastern until 5pm Pacific / 8pm Eastern.
- No clock on weekends, but please try to give someone a list if you’re coming up soon and are going to be away. Some of us have no lives.

Putting picks in the spreadsheet
The file has 3 tabs: a Draft List where we make all our picks, a Team List linked to the draft tab which shows how much salary each team has left, and the Master Salary List which has all the player salaries on it.
To input picks, copy the player name, nba team, and salary fields from the Master Salary tab into the Draft tab. Also, please put the drafters name next to the player taken on the master salary list to flag which players have been taken.

Reminds me of like 15 years ago when my boss marveled at my abilities to convert an excel sheet into a shareable google doc. Even then it took like 2 minutes but the man thought it took me hours

I assume (hope?) he was the obvious pick. He is probably the second best regular season player in the NBA, the best post season player, and at this point probably the only top 10 player that is especially elite on both ends of the floor. He's not as easy to build around as some others that will be taken in the next 5 picks, but he offers unmatched upside and I'll be able to use 2nd/3rd rounds to provide the necessary complementary pieces for him.
