I thought there was a chance this may happen. Almost made me try to swap down to pick like 12 or so.

Yeah, I figured this would open up for a bunch of different approaches. It’ll be interesting to see how everyone’s teams fill out.

The next nerd level is if we make this a keeper league in the future where next year salaries come into play. Ja and Zion, for example are cheap this year but get huge pay increases for 23-24.

Yeah. My planning last night made me think I would go fairly cheap at the turn and use that excess space on the 3rd and 4th player. A lot (but not all) of those options got picked earlier than I excepted. Looked at some other pairings slightly more modestly priced, but ultimately decided to go with two of the greatest players of all time as the gamble.

I do this in my auction FF drafts all the time. I get two really expensive players early and then sip my bourbon while I'm outbid for the next half hour
