I thought there was a chance this may happen. Almost made me try to swap down to pick like 12 or so.The last handful of picks have really surprised me. This might be my favorite NBA draft we've ever done so far. The differences in philosophy are making this so much more interesting.
Finally. Was a really big struggle for me with Embiid. I think every pick since then was batshit insane.
I agree. This should be our yearly format. The last handful of picks have really surprised me. This might be my favorite NBA draft we've ever done so far. The differences in philosophy are making this so much more interesting.
I’m out running errands so it will be an hour or so before I get back to my spreadsheet. Sorry guys
Can someone please give me a scoring format. I'm looking up "standard" scoring and seeing a lot of different results. I've only played in 1 fantasy basketball league in my life. What are our league scoring parameters? I've combed most of the thread and can't find it.
The league scores is just for funsies, I think. We are voting on best teams. Can someone please give me a scoring format. I'm looking up "standard" scoring and seeing a lot of different results. Yeah, I figured this would open up for a bunch of different approaches. It’ll be interesting to see how everyone’s teams fill out.The last handful of picks have really surprised me. You can treat it like the fantasy league part is the most important ranking if you want.wait, this is one of those vote leagues? ughThe league scores is just for funsies, I think. You can do whatever you want. But I imagine a 15-PG team we'd all vote last place.are there roster requirements to fill the 15 spots or can i draft 15 PGs?

ooohhhh I love it!This is probably a poor idea as it makes the rest of my draft a giant PITA, but I'm going to do it anyways.

Are we already in the 4th round? What the hell is thisWas looking at all these guys (wanted Durant) other than Ball because I hate him.
I could go one of two ways here, but instead I'm going to go a third way and select
1.13 - PG Dejounte Murray, ATL - $16,571,120

Yeah. My planning last night made me think I would go fairly cheap at the turn and use that excess space on the 3rd and 4th player. A lot (but not all) of those options got picked earlier than I excepted. Looked at some other pairings slightly more modestly priced, but ultimately decided to go with two of the greatest players of all time as the gamble. This will be fun to see how you’re able to fill your team. You’re remaking 13 players will need to average $4.4M salary. This is probably a poor idea as it makes the rest of my draft a giant PITA, but I'm going to do it anyways.

Boo this man. Boo.Things to keep in mind when thinking about how much money to leave for the bottom part of your rosters.
There are only 7 players making $1M (rookie minimum deals).
There are 29 players with under $1.6M (2 per team on average).
It’s probably best to leave around $2.0M per player for your bottom feeders - there are 83 players at $2.0M or less (5 or 6 per team if you wanted that many).
Keep an eye on your average $ left on the team list tab as we go further.
To be fair, if this is anything like a normal NBA rotation, rounds 11-15 I won't say are meaningless, but are much less valuable in terms of getting players who will actually contribute.Things to keep in mind when thinking about how much money to leave for the bottom part of your rosters.

Injuries will be an issue and I think that those players in the 11-15 range will be more important to us than real life teamsTo be fair, if this is anything like a normal NBA rotation, rounds 11-15 I won't say are meaningless, but are much less valuable in terms of getting players who will actually contribute.
Plus Buddy Boeheim is only 500k.
Buddy is under a two-way contract. We’ll have to keep an eye on the average remaining numbers. If they go below $2M too early we might have to make them repick. What's our plan when someone runs out of money and can't draft enough players?Things to keep in mind when thinking about how much money to leave for the bottom part of your rosters.

I mentioned in the OP that players can be traded during or after the draft, as long as teams stay below the salary cap. So if a team needs to clear up some space that way they can.

I’d prefer not trading picks, just players. But you guys can let me know what you want.
