I like big rosters with some high-end players and few mid-range guys. An empty roster slot might save me $3 that I can use to upgrade elsewhere, but I'd generally rather have a Velus Jones, Jeff Wilson, Kyle Rudolph, or Cardinals defense who has a chance to contribute each week rather than a slightly better player elsewhere. The top players are the difference makers who can have a huge game & a huge season, so I don't want to skimp on them. So I generally avoid the middling starters who drain your budget with little chance of coming up big; a pretty good rule of thumb is "Don't pay more than $10 except for shots at elite production" (especially at WR & TE).

I think this is a great insight. I followed the same rule although I went with an 18 player roster.

I'm having a problem finding my entry ID #. In past years, it would show up on the Team Status page, but now only my team nickname shows up. Is there a way to find my ID #?
