here's a similar take on RBs...

I'll work from the bottom up...
$3 - It's hard to shy away from Jeff Wilson here. I think his path to significant touches is the easiest of all $3 options
$4 - I would've said Mike Davis until Kenyan Drake showed up. Now, my $4 pick is Chris Evans, who may surpass Perine as Mixon's true backup
$5 - There were only 2 RB's last year who had 50+ carries and over 6 YPC. Dontrell Hilliard was one of them.
$6 - I have shifted from Eno to Zamir. LV can list him 4th on their depth chart all they want.
$7 - You can't keep a good man down. Brian Robinson and his cheap price may be worth the wait.
$8 - Jerick McKinnon was on his way to stardom, until he tore his ACL. Can he surpass CEH in touches?
$9 - Alexander Mattison is only 24 with basically 1 workhorse year's worth of touches. He could carry a load.
I will stop at $9, because the $10 choice is too easy.

I had Chris Evans in most iterations until the final. He's great in the passing game. But flipped Evans + Zamir up to Pierce. I wanted to fade Pierce, but it's not easy to make the argument for it once Mack was released. Also I love McKinnon but he's 30 now and that speed and sparq score doesn't last forever.

First comment is that I'm not a huge 3 QB fan. For what you spent on Ryan/Goff I think you could have had a really good QB or dropped one and upgraded Higbee to a stud TE. Is the incremental difference Ryan adds going to offset jumping from Higbee to someone like Andrews?

Funny thing is I was just coming here to post about RBs. My downfall most years has been the RB position. I usually do what you did and avoid paying up for a stud. I just can't keep myself from saying what happens if (insert stud RB here) gets hurt? All these guys seem like great picks when you imagine them getting most of the touches but then the seasons starts and you say wtf was I thinking? Also the scoring is much more friendly for TEs and usually WRs too, so the $/expected point is usually better spent there. However you then look at the weekly score and some guy with Taylor has hung a score bigger than your two best backs.

Anyone else struggle with RB selection?

I just picked the top 2 and moved on. It was the easiest choice for me out of all the positions.

I went with a light PK/DEF build and like this iteration of the squad. Could always swap out Njoku, Obwuegkunam, or Engram for a defense and Bellinger. Main problem I see with this build is that I'm weak Week Nine.

Sorry. The minute I posted it at the last second I changed it. I'm addicted I tell ya.

The way I see it the real fun and joy of this contest is the constant tinkering and different combinations and ways to get to a hopefully competitive rooster. Why would I cut that fun short by two days? I knew I wasn't go to keep the same lineup for another two minutes, let alone two days, so I deleted it.

Now if you'll excuse me, I've got several dozen more roosters I'd like to try before my 10:00 a.m. FBGSCA (FBG Subscriber Contest Anonymous) meeting

FYI - Check the expiration of your subscription. It would suck to win, then find out your subscription had lapsed the week prior. This reminds me of those Judge Judy episodes where the defendant tries to purchase and backdate car insurance after an accident.

One final bit of fine print about prizes: any legal entry submitted by a person who had an annual subscription at the time of entry will be a live entry in the contest, and will therefore potentially affect cut lines throughout the contest. At the end of the contest, we will verify that prize winners did indeed hold an annual subscription for the entire duration of the contest. If one of the prize winners did not, then that entry will be declared ineligible and all other eligible entries will move up a spot (e.g., if the 2nd-place finisher is ineligible, then the 3rd place finisher moves up to 2nd place, the 4th place finisher moves to 3rd, and so on).

Last year one of the reasons I got bounced was I had too many speculative cheap upside picks, and the way the BYEs aligned I had to count on too many of them at exactly the wrong time.

2022 going lean at TE, K, & D - had a couple extra bucks so went with D upgrades. 5 good WR & RB, and 2 upsides. It's risky, but I like it.

Last year one of the reasons I got bounced was I had too many speculative cheap upside picks, and the way the BYEs aligned I had to count on too many of them at exactly the wrong time.

2022 going lean at TE, K, & D - had a couple extra bucks so went with D upgrades. 5 good WR & RB, and 2 upsides. It's risky, but I like it.

BassNBrew, you've been around as long as I have and someone I know that participates a lot on these boards - so, you should know the rule of be nice or leave off the extra comment. Very disappointing. Have a sh**** night to you also.
