i think it is pat bev and some defensive intensity and a coach that the players actually listen to and frankly the less middleton on the floor right now the better take that to the bank brochachos

eta that dame guy you told us about wasnt too shabby either take that to the bank

Boston Kilts are getting nervous, bank on that.
I'm just hoping they will face some resistance prior to the Finals. The way it was looking, they could have gone a month without playing a good team and then be rusty against whoever wins the West.
There’s a decent chance Celtics could play the Heat first round, Knicks/Sixers second, and Bucks ECF. They’d still be favorites to various degrees in those series, but that wouldn’t necessarily be a cake walk into the finals.
miami fireballers always play tough come tourney time just how it is heat culture just ask the old minestrone he will tell ya take that to the bank brohans

Bobby Portis odds have changed drastically. One week ago, he was +7500 to win 6th man. Today, he is +3000. Coming from behind like a GOLDEN Greek!
7-8 for 18 pts in the first half having played just 10 minutes so far

This is happening! Malik Monk is the odds on favorite and he SUCKS! Sac sucks.

Portis is balling out his backside!

The Orlando Magic are currently the 4th seed in the East.

Impressive year for the Magic and one that is often glossed over in the media. Seems like just yesterday you were drafting #1 and stealing Banchero from the Rockets. Would love to see ORL and/or IND make a run this postseason.

bummer for the bangos last night but sort of unavoidable they just looked a step slow and golden state was at full health a let down was inevietable good game by the blue man group though so tip of the hat there take that to the bank brochachos

Philadelphia lost to Memphis

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
At home.

Memphis is 15-17 on the road. 7-24 at home.

That is a strange stat.

Did 76er fan just turtle up and hide? Had so much to say earlier....now they lose to a poverty franchise and nothing?
I mean, everyone on the Sixers is dead. No Embiid, No Maxey, No Melton, No Lowry, No Covington.

But the Sixers may have completely screwed themselves losing these 2 games to Brooklyn and Memphis. Based on the way the schedule breaks, I would say that the earliest that Embiid comes back is March 27. Brookyln and Memphis were the only 2 games where the Sixers would have been favored between now and the 27th. They have 10 games against playoff teams, including a west coast trip, so I would say they would be lucky to go 3-7. That leaves them with 10 games with Embiid at most, and the schedule is more favorable, but maybe they can be 7-3 in those games.

If they can do that and go 10-10 the rest of the way, they will be 45-37. If they could have won these 2 games, they could have been 47-35. Those 2 games will probably be a big difference between holding on to the 6 seed and having to get stuck in the play-in and maybe face Boston in the first round.

Terrible timing for Maxey to get concussed.

The Celtics 4th quarter was as bad of a disaster as could have possibly been.

Tatum missed ALL of his 2nd half FG attempts. Meanwhile Wade scored (likely a career high) 20 pts in the 4th.

Shot selection wasn't great for Boston, but it was the same shots they were taking all game, they just made none of them in the 4th.

Thought they should have added time for the final jump ball since whistle was blown before 0.7, but game should have been over with the Tatum miss anyway. He shouldn't have taken the last shot, but KOBEEEEEE!!

I have a dream that they will learn from this, but 7 years of Tatum's history says I doubt it.
Nope, they haven't learned ****.

Made Payton Watson look like Dean Wade tonight.

In memory of FatMax, I’ll continue posting my bimonthly rants about the Kings. They win the season series against the #1 seed, then lose to the Bulls. They stomp the Lakers, then need last minute heroics to beat the Spurs and should have lost. It’s the most inconsistent team I’ve ever watched.

At least Monk is going to run away with sixth man of the year.

So, as i was driving around delivering food as a Door Dash driver today for 6 hours since my life is garbage, I was thinking about where losing KAT ranks for this team. He's incredibley talented, a 4-time all star and 2 time all nba player, one of the best offensive players in the league and an improved defensive player. I love him (kind of). But losing Ant destroys this team. Losing Rudy turns them into a totally different team which has to outscore everyone which would never work in the playoffs. Losing Conley means they have no steadying point guard adult influence, and losing Jaden would mean Ant would have to take on that defensive role, which would impact his offense.

So somehow if they lose a starter, KAT, who is a pheonomenal player, is the best case scenario. Maybe Jaden (NAW can do a decent interpretation).

As a Celtics fan, we all know Denver is a formidable foe. The Nuggets won a nail biter in Boston when the Celtics didn't shoot very well (42/31/71). The good news in that game was Boston held a slim lead in the last 4 minutes, only turned the ball over twice all game, and only gave up one point in the final three minutes. The bad news is, that despite all that, they still didn't win.

Last night, they once again didn't shoot well (45/28/64), yet Tatum had a chance to give them the lead with a wide-open corner three with 45 seconds left (and missed). Denver made two buzzer beaters that accounted for 5 points. No doubt DEN executed better last night, but Boston again was in it until the very end. "Almost winning" sounds very much like losing, and there are no moral victories.

I wasn't a fan of the officiating last night. I'm not saying one team was affected more than the other. It just seemed that some players on either team going to the basket got mugged and no fouls were called. Many trips, the offensive players initiated contact to move a defender out of the way, and there wasn't a call (Brown and Joker did this a lot). Yet other times, guys barely bumping each other 20-30 feet from the basket would draw whistles. As a fan, I don't care if refs want to "let them play" or if they want to "call things tight," I just wish they called things the same consistently.

I feel seen by the Athletic this morning. Sprinkled in with 11 unexcusable losses, they have the best record against top 4 Western teams among the other playoff contenders (full ranking by that measure: Kings, Lakers, Pelicans, Suns, Mavericks, Warriors, in that order).

Mind boggling that the Nuggets only had one player on the all-star team
are you saying that they should have had more or that their ability to reach such high levels with only one all-star is mind-boggling?
Both, really. But more the former.

Each of the other four Denver starters consciously subordinate their individual stats for the team concept.

Jamal Murray in particular has multiple 50+ point playoff games (one of only 8 players in NBA history). However, there is no way the Nuggets would be where they are if Murray insisted on being the scorer he is clearly capable of being.

In a perfect world, the reigning champs and current conference leaders would get two representatives before anyone else to exemplify the team concept. This year, inferior teams including the Lakers, Suns and Clippers all had two.

But of course I understand the realities of the selection process.

The simple solution is to expand the All-Star game roster from 12 to 15 players (or maybe even more). I am pretty sure the players wouldn't care . . . many of them get bonuses for being named an All Star. I'm also sure some of the vets aren't really that interested in playing a ton or aggravating an injury, so I don't see why there would be much push back to expanding the rosters. The game has devolved into a three-point shooting competition (168 3P attempts this year) and playing defense is frowned upon. Each year, there are a few guys that want to put up a big stat line, but I don't see why they couldn't even put an unwritten cap on playing time at 20 minutes. That would free up some playing time for the extra players on the roster.

totally with the way those guys give it their all in the all star game they could use more bench to give them a breather anyhow take that to the bank bromigo
