I'm just hoping they will face some resistance prior to the Finals. The way it was looking, they could have gone a month without playing a good team and then be rusty against whoever wins the West.
There’s a decent chance Celtics could play the Heat first round, Knicks/Sixers second, and Bucks ECF. They’d still be favorites to various degrees in those series, but that wouldn’t necessarily be a cake walk into the finals.

I was being tongue-in-cheek. I know full well the playoffs are never a cake walk....especially after that Miami fiasco last year.

i think it is pat bev and some defensive intensity and a coach that the players actually listen to and frankly the less middleton on the floor right now the better take that to the bank brochachos

Bobby Portis odds have changed drastically. One week ago, he was +7500 to win 6th man. Today, he is +3000. Coming from behind like a GOLDEN Greek!

Fun rivalry game tonight as the good guys roll into Houston riding high on a season's best 2-game winning streak.

¡Vamos Espuelas Vamos!

Great ending in Cleveland
Not that I’m a Celtics hater—but it would have sucked if the Cavs didn’t have a challenge for that final shot by Tatum. The refs effectively missed two offensive fouls by Tatum (a blatant shove, followed by him kicking his leg out on the shot) and instead called the foul on Garland. The challenge saved a well deserved comeback win. I think the loss probably ends up being a positive for the Celts. I do think that they were maybe getting to that point of being over-confident—which cannot happen while Tatum and Brown are on the team. Tatum and Brown got knocked out the playoffs by a play in team that was missing Tyler Herro last year.

The Celtics 4th quarter was as bad of a disaster as could have possibly been.

Tatum missed ALL of his 2nd half FG attempts. Meanwhile Wade scored (likely a career high) 20 pts in the 4th.

Shot selection wasn't great for Boston, but it was the same shots they were taking all game, they just made none of them in the 4th.

Thought they should have added time for the final jump ball since whistle was blown before 0.7, but game should have been over with the Tatum miss anyway. He shouldn't have taken the last shot, but KOBEEEEEE!!

I have a dream that they will learn from this, but 7 years of Tatum's history says I doubt it.

All 3 of those should be no-calls.
I would absolutely have been okay with no calls all of the way around. No argument there. However, for the refs to have somehow missed two relatively obvious offensive fouls by Tatum, and to have called Garland for a light touch well after the shot was released would have been atrocious imo. The refs should not be deciding games, and that final challenge effectively prevented them from doing just that.

I agree it should have been a no call both after replay and just for consistency because they called very few fouls all game.

However, what if Garland touched Tatum's elbow as he shot it? What if he landed slightly under Tatum's feet? Live and at full speed can you tell the difference? They were literally touching for the entire shot and the official doesn't have a slow motion instant replay from the best of 3-4 possible angles to decide, he has 1 look in a moment from 1 angle. That's nearly impossible to get right every time. He made a judgment call and was wrong. That's why they added the challenge system.

The call I thought was most atrocious all game was when they let Niang absolutely mug Porzingis at the high post for like 5 seconds before KP finally got a shot up and made it with no call. Refs just stared at it and said "nope".

I haven't watched as many Boston games as most of you guys but I've never been impressed with Tatum in the clutch. Seems like he's always settling for a last minute fadeaway and missing them when it matters most.

It does seem that way, but most assuredly is not. This is a year old, and maybe he has totally sucked this year, but even if that's true his overall numbers still gotta be quite good

@taylorcsnow

Jayson Tatum is the only player in NBA history to shoot at least 50% on game-tying or go-ahead field goals in the last 24 seconds of the 4th quarter (min. 25 attempts). After Saturday night's game-winner, he's 13-for-26 on such shots (15-for-29 including the playoffs).

I guess there's a reason why he's always settling for those long fadeaway jumpers but it seems like he'd be more effective taking it to the hole and getting a closer shot and/or getting fouled.

In other words, I think Miami is the 4th seed which sets up a nice 1-4 second round matchup where they beat the Celtics.
you post a lot here for a guy working 2600 hours take that to the bank brohan
There was a pause in the trial he was working after he “strenuously” objected to the judge. Just enough time to work through some playoff scenarios.
Gotta make good use of those recesses.

totally healthy warriors team against the bucks tonight should be a fun game and lets hope the bucks can keep up take that to the bank brochachos

Middleton is out, Giannis is questionable. 50-1 that I will fall asleep on the couch at some point in the second half.

YOU KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bobby Portis is going to go OFF tonight.
