2024-25 NBA Thread: defeated Minnesota fan ready to move on to next crushing disappointment (157 Viewers)

Pacers are the most fun team to watch since when? The Nash Suns?

The Warriors were really fun when they first got going before Draymond turned into a nut cracker.
He was #2 in technical fouls his first year as a starter (Warriors first title year). His second year as a starter was the 73 win Warriors where he got suspended in the finals for being an *******. There was no point where the Warriors were fun with Draymond Green and he wasn't a *****.

I always cringe when Halliburton does that move into the paint and instead of settling for the game tying mid range he brings it out for a 3 heave at the buzzer. They seem to go in at a near 100% rate tho
it's the move you did on the playground court during elementary school recess that missed the entire backboard and everything, but somehow he has a miraculous touch with it.

They were absolutely fun with all the threes they were hoisting up and Curry and Klay going crazy.

Draymond was fine his first few years even with the techs. He was more like a Rasheed Wallace then what he is now. That 73 win year in the playoffs is when he changed.

2015-16 was the 73 win team. They Warriors had been together for fiveish years before that and were fun and what they were doing was new.

Do Kings fans ever think about how in 2018 they drafted Marvin Bagley over Luka and then in 2020 they drafted Hali but then traded him for a small forward in a power forward’s body who would be the third best player on a really good team?

You flop in hockey you get your assssssssss kicked and take that to the 5-hole bromigo

You flop in basketball and you make in a year what a hockey players make in a career.

I do agree that NBA players are overpaid.

Also think I could probably live on Connor McGregor's measly 12 Mil/Year salary. Maybe. I'd have to eat at Subway more often, but I think I could do it.

We're roping MMA into this now??

(You meant McDavid, troll man)

If it makes either of you laugh I assumed Connor McGregor played hockey.

I still think he might.

No, I've never thought about the fact they could have drafted Luka instead of Bagley, that's really insightful.

Obviously Hali is better than Sabonis. But I'd argue it was pretty close until like November or December of this season, Hali didn't fit at all with the Kings at the time, and Sabonis is really good. So I don't lose a ton of sleep over that one.

Yeah I like Sabonis. Can't really fault them for that one.

Idk he just doesn’t feel like a player who can be impactful in a playoff series against a really good team. Good player in the regular season in December though.

Hmmm, I'm scheduled to be in Indy on June 5th, when the Finals are set to start. If the Pacers are in it, they won't be playing at home, though. But downtown Indy will be fun that night.
They’d have home court over the Wolves, so there’s another reason to root for them.

We are witnessing the birth of NBAs next superstar in real time. That can't sit well with Kings' fans.

Huh, didn't realize that. Looks like I've found a team to root for. I was rooting for the Wolves out of the remaining teams but the Pacers are fun.

In case anyone missed it last night.

Most underrated part, Kevin Harlan's call of the action.

Second most underrated part is watching the this clip twice and just watching the fan reactions to every bucket.

Trading Fox for pennies was worse than the Halliburton trade.

So the only 2 calls they are saying were incorrect were fouls on NY that weren’t called.
Is the goaltending not covered in the report?

I didn't see it
I saw it mentioned somewhere that since it wasn’t in the last two minutes of OT that it wasn’t covered in the report. Who knows if that is really the case.
