2024-25 NBA Thread: OKC - Memphis series moved to Quibi (28 Viewers)

is there some sort of... punishment? or other fear based requirement compelling people to feel the need to care so much about Bronny?

it's ok to not let this kid's existence consume your every waking moment. we don't need updates on his diet, his girlfriend's shopping spree and how he ties his shoes.

Only the ones that convinced their owner to draft their kid.
OMG!!! Nepotism!
This isn’t just nepotism. The kid should have stayed in school and made himself more legit. The agent told everyone he was not signing a two-way contract. He only worked out for 2-3 teams and then basically they told everyone not to draft him or he was going to Australia. His talent merited none of that. It’s not fair to Bronny and it sucks really.

it's ok not to let this kid's existence not consume your entire being
Why is there an espn headline about the 55th pick in the draft having slight knee swelling so he has to miss a summer league game? They created this stuff

It reminds me of when Lonzo Ball came into the league. People either loved or HATED his dad, who was very involved with his progression to the pros. There was the reality off-the-court stuff(he even had his own shoe brand for a while).

The main difference was Lonzo was a top prospect with more on-court repertoire, while Bronny is more of a fringe player right now - but the buzz and attention (both positive and negative) was very similar.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but the Olympics men’s basketball groups are set.

Group A:
🇦🇺 Australia
🇬🇷 Greece
🇨🇦 Canada
🇪🇸 Spain

Group B:
🇧🇷 Brazil
🇯🇵 Japan
🇫🇷 France
🇩🇪 Germany

Group C:
🇵🇷 Puerto Rico
🇺🇸 Team USA
🇷🇸 Serbia
🇸🇸 South Sudan

Group A is stacked. USA got a cakewalk.

Is Jokic playing for the Serbs? Gotta think they're one of the better teams.

yes he is listed on their roster.

I haven't been paying much attention but no Slovenia?
No. They went 5-3 in qualifying and finished behind Germany and Serbia, who qualified directly.

They advanced to another round of qualifying, which grouped together the best of the teams from around the world, that did not qualify, to have another go at it. They eventually got knocked out in this round by Greece.

lonzo was doing relatively well until his knee fell apart. lamelo got a max rookie extension. jury is still out on him, though a lot of that seems to have to do with his own injuries. not sure what the point is here...

who gives a ****? don't read it. i don't. the only Bronny info that i hear is the whining in here every day.

just don't read it, or mute the channel if it comes on.

I already knew what number 1 was and still laughed loudly.
I had seen it before, so I also knew what was coming. Hard to understand what happened to him. He's gone a total of 0 for 2 on 3PA in his time with BRK and has only made 43% of his free throws. His career 3P% is 13.9%. Of all the contracts out there, his $40M a year contract (to not even average 10 ppg) is one of the worst contracts I can remember. I wonder what he will get for a contract when his deal runs out after this season.

I think he retires

hes better than anteaternintendo according to someone around here take that to the bank brohans

Put the Clippers dysfunction straight into my veins. I hope Kawhi guts it out through the Olympics and then he’ll probably need to sit out all of next season just to be safe and then the Thunder are gonna get Flagg.

He'll get his medal though!

I can't wait. Think about any team with a superstar that carries their team. If he gets hurts they are tanking. So Dallas, Philly, Golden State, San Antonio, Milwaukee, Miami, Denver, Minnesota, Clippers, Lakers. If anyone of those teams lost their best player for the year I bet they would tank, plus the Detroit and Washington's of the league.
