It felt decent until the game went to hell in the first half. The US is too easily moved off their focus when games get chippy. They never got back in the flow.

Ultimately, the problem is expectations have exceeded actual results for a while now. We have some good players but not enough world class players to expect to do much against the best from South America. If Weah doesn’t do something stupid we probably advance and then lose in the quarterfinals. We just aren’t good enough
