2025 FBG Subscriber Contest (6 Viewers)

What a joy checking ESPN NFL scores on my phone, opening Chargers Titans and scrolling slowly to see 20 points and 0 TD for Ward, 0 TD for RB, 0 TD for WR, and knowing I had the Titans D. Might be my high point of this contest, don't expect to last much longer.

Through 9 weeks, here are the weekly averages for the 8 worst contest D's:

1.6 - NYJ - $4
2.8 - SF - $5
3.7 - NYG - $5
3.9 - BAL - $7
4.0 - GB - $6
4.0 - LV - $3

A special thanks to the 713 folks who made the Ravens D the 13th most common D from the start. And FWIW, the other two $7 D's are currently ranked 14th (DEN) and 16th (BUF). Denver was the most common contest D, even at max price.

With 7 options for $3 each, that makes 21 different combos you could've had for $6. And with 3 options for $7 each, that makes 63 different $3 combos you could've chosen vs a single $7 one. 62 of those options are currently outscoring the $7 single D's. The only exception is DEN (54 points) vs LV/MIA (53 points).

52 Karty owners hoping he keeps his job

Rams signed K Harrison Mevis, formerly of the Jets, to their practice squad.
The former Birmingham Stallions kicker will provide some competition for Joshua Karty. Karty has struggled mightily this year, connecting on just 10-of-15 field goals and 23-of-26 PATs. Two of his field goal misses came on Sunday against the Saints. Mevis could take the job from Karty as soon as Week 10 against the 49ers.

Love your kicker and D analysis. Seems strange the top D never outscore the cheapest options over a season. I’d think the top options would come out on top more than half the time.

Learned from you and always take your advice. Props!

Dang, lucky you. Got 5.4 from Sutton and 5.5 from Tre Tucker, despite Tre supposedly getting more work with Jakobi gone... really rough start to the week for my roster. Tre also had a touchdown negated by a pick play call...

Not a great start on a week when I was cautiously optimistic going into the week (no byes for me this week). That said, I'm missing (at a minimum) Stroud at QB, Hampton at RB, and Pearsall at WR.

Geno's 6.85 isn't going to cut it. Not that I expected to use his score, but that means I'm relying 100% on Aaron Rodgers on Sunday night.

Complete dud for Sutton (5.4). Need two (and preferably at least three) decent scores from Odunze, Downs, Egbuka, Bateman, Doubs, and Lane.

6 pts from the LVR defense might be their best week of the year. That said, hoping NE can beat that.

I have a full set of RB (minus Hampton) and three TE's, so I'm still somewhat optimistic, but I'm starting to get the feeling I'm going to have to sweat it out this week in a similar fashion to my DEN survivor pick last night.

Henry must score 20 minimum to keep me alive.

I think Baltimore will be able to get after Mcarthy, and I think they way you get after the Vikings blitz heavy defense is to pound the rock. Baltimore knows what it has to do to keep pace and have a lot of their defenders back now. There's reason for some amount of optimism....fingers and toes crossed.

15 from Franklin is a nice positive, but 6.85 for a QB score with Prescott on bye is a difficult hill to climb.
QB - 6.85 - Must use Geno
RB - 2.80 - Harvey
PK - 1.00 - Carlson

My start couldn't have been any worse. Derrick Henry must score 20 minimum to keep me alive.

I'm not looking too good this week either.

I have 4 on bye.... plus 3 definitely out, and 3 more probably out with injuries.

I might be missing 10 players this week. So I'm going to need 3 or 4 players to have a career day to give me any decent chance.

sounds like my roster

I've got Odunze and Egbuka in double-figures, but that's it. 1.6 pts above the cut line. I do have Ertz, Lane, Doubs, Warren, and Rodgers still yet to play, but it feels like it's going to be a nail-biter.

Had to check to see if Tracy was even active with his ZERO. Oh, yeah, he's playing all right..... 5 carries for zero yards. Nice work.

Feeling pretty good about this week. Just crossed 100 and get all of Goff and Muth. 10 pts combined from the guys 4 currently playing and Jax D, should cue me up to go over 130 which I think will be good this week. Also have four late bullets to replace a 5.3 from Bryant.

lol…as I have mentioned before, my entry ended up happening when I was just using some different thoughts as I had toooo many renditions of guys I was stuck on , so started removing some of my "want on the team" just to change it up.

Then had a bad weekend where I had to work that carried over to the deadline so got hung up with an experimental roster that was in no ways going to be my final. And one experiment was at QB. I was going with a decent qb, and cheap qb but had Flacco, Prescott… which also had same bye week, do right there is proof it was not meant to be my final as I would never go 2 qb’s and have the same bye week…

So thought I was for sure toast this week with no QB’s and chase brown out (he has not been great but contributes at RB)…

Currently at 150…watch my "not real lineup" will do better than any of my other lineups….lol…and have finished in top 220 2 of the last 3 years.

Flacco didn't have the same bye as Prescott when you submitted your team. The byes are only the same once he got traded to the Bengals

I was sitting on only 96.0 points after the 1 pm games, and I think the cut line was about 91. But the cut line moved quickly from there after the 4pm games started.

Still no standings posted after the end of the 1pm games, so not sure what's up with that. I'm currently sitting on 124.25 at half-time of 4pm games, and according to Army Eye's scoring site, the cut line is currently 108.10.

Unfortunately, Seattle scored 2 defensive TDs, and there is not much incentive for Darnold to throw TDs and get me any more points at QB. I have to hope he gets at least one more passing TD, and/or Jordan Love puts up a big score on Monday night.

At least Fannin played today and put up 10.40 which is not great, but he was questionable to even play, so I'll take it. My best hopes with remaining players are probably Goedert, Freiermuth, and Keenan Allen. Maybe I'll get lucky and Golden will play on Monday, and actually put up some points, but the trend with him seems to be going in the opposite direction. Kupp got a nice long 67 yard reception in the 2nd quarter, but unfortunately did not quite make it to the end zone on that play.

It's been a terrible day for me at RB, with Chase Brown on bye, and James Cook only managing 10.20 points. My last hopes for another score at RB lies with Montogmery and JCM, so I'm not counting on much, but hoping for a surprise out of one of them.

This week for me this week, my survival probably boils down to how far the cut line rises.

Good luck to all you guys who are sweating it out this week like I am.

So you are at 124+ and have a bunch of guys currently playing and at least four more bullets in the chamber and you're sweating?

See ya guys next week would have been more accurate.

By the way, nice team. A team like yours will take down the title this year. Way to exploit the WR bargans.

Feeling pretty good and while I won’t proclaim “see you next week” just yet… I’m exactly 18 points over the cut with Jaylen (3.6) and Boswell (5).

Special congrats to Kyle Williams for finally cracking my lineup, leaving only Jimmy G as my dead weight.

That's 6.85 more than I'll get out of Mahomes, on his scheduled Bye, Flacco on his traded Bye, and Stroud OUT, watching from the couch, on concussion protocol for one week. The best laid plans of mice and men blah, blah, blah .......
I also have Mahomes and Flacco, with his unanticipated day off. I did at least get 18.55 out of Tua, which leaves me at 131,25 with the current cut line at 124.5. I've got only Matthew Golden (Questionable) and Keenan Allen (-3.60) left. Unless he goes off, it's going to be a white-knuckler for me.

Last edited:
McBride + Kittle compensating for the rest of my meh player scores.

Head just above cut line waters going into the night game with easy opportunities to improve.

Jacobs -3.0
Keenan or Doubs (-0.0,15)
Boswell -13.8

Good luck to my bored mates! We’ve made it deep into this thing together.

Yeah, I'm at 135.50, 11 over during the 1st qtr of the Pit-LAC game, hoping for low scoring. I do have Golden and Goedert who can contribute tomorrow night to my two flex scores. I f I make it thru tonight, I would expect them to keep pace tomorrow night. So far, the only scoring tonight is a Boswell 59 yard FG and that alone bumped the cut line by .8.
