2025 Las Vegas Raiders thread - ☠ Matadors on the O-line ☠ (12 Viewers)

Kolton Miller on IR with a high ankle sprain and fracture. The only piece of the Raiders OL that wasn't puking all over the field goes down.

Fire sale your Raiders, fellas, before the news becomes more widely understood. OL sich just went nuclear.

Watching Geno be the new Jameis makes me wish the Raiders would trade for the real thing.

INT MACHINE BABY!!!

He gonna average 2 of them per game.

This is literally worse than the absolute worst case scenario I could have imagined this off-season. It's not even close.

And I can imagine some really twisted ####.

Didn’t watch a minute of it other “highlights” on redzone.

Let’s talk draft baby!! Who watches collage football?

Just realized I went out in public wearing my raider shirt. :bag:

I am not sure what would be more classically Raiders:

1) Lose to the inept, winless Titans at home
2) Beat the Titans killing their chance to get the #1 pick

Of course it just occurred to me what will actually happen is they

3) They lose to the Titans at home then they both go winless the rest of the way only for the Raiders to win a meaningless week 18 matchup against the Chiefs who will be resting starters for the playoffs. Moving them from the #1 pick all the way to #6 (Titans, Bengals, Saints, Browns, Jets).

Well the Titans managed to pull off the win today so, at least the Raiders won't lose to a winless inept team.

Thank God for small favors am I right?!?!?!!

And who has been the owner during that period. 🤔
Okay, now explain to me how this is Mark Davis's fault. If the only answer is "well, he hired them" then save it.

Everyone prefers an owner who hires football people, opens the purse strings and then gets out of the way. That's Mark Davis and that's what he did with Pete Carroll and Tom Brady and Chip Kelly and whatever the hell the gm's name is.

Wonder what this is all about.... He didn't travel with the team to Indy for Personal reasons

Las Vegas Raiders LB Germaine Pratt was released Monday, Oct. 6.

all powerful AI reports he has become a pass coverage liability recently while remaining an asset in run D.
Per a ESPN write up on the release:

Pratt stood out from the rest of the linebackers because of his effectiveness in coverage. In 105 coverage snaps, he allowed 74 yards and a passer rating of 70.7 on 13 targets as the nearest defender. White, meanwhile, has given up 11 catches for 107 yards and a passer rating of 82.2 on 17 targets in 149 coverage snaps.

Exactly. He's not the one running the draft or coaching the players. He's spent big on free agents, it's not his fault they missed on them.

We gotta be careful. My closet has too much silver and black in it. That being said it's a good year for top-10 Offensive Tackles. On to April 2026!

Interesting Carroll and Brady both preferred Geno over Darnold, esp. when factor in the age difference. Maybe Geno can turn around, and Bowers being out and possibly worst OL in the league isn't helping, but at this point this decision looks like a massive miss.
Even in college, Geno needs a clean pocket. Given time, he is a surgeon. Any pressure, and he panics. Sam Darnold may have turned a corner, but given that he was only successful for most of one season, I preferred Geno. I still do, but he needs a good line to succeed.

OL draft in 2026 for sure
Of course but, if they have a shot at a franchise QB they have to take that chance and backfill the OL in free agency.

They also need to fire Nepo Baby Carroll which, would be an immediate improvement.
Just depends where they finish and if theres a guy there. They might mess up and win a game or two at the end of the year.
They'll definitely do that.
