Two Icons of our lives.
Christ, is this how its going to be? Exponential deaths until its our time?
Same here. I know he became hard to like later in life, but I have too many great memories from my teens and 20s that are tied to him, from watching him on TV with my dad to doing leg drops into the pool on vacation with my cousins, to ignore what a big figure he was from afar for me.Lived for Sunday morning wrestling after church on Sundays as a kid. Was as big a Hulk Hogan fan as they came. In college we all loved the NWO shtick and would play voodoo child walking onto softball feilds or whatever we were playing for the laughs. Monday nitro parties at our apt got ridiculous.
This one hurts me the most. Such a big part of my younger years in all kinds of different forms.
Madonna's a good call. Maybe Michael Jordan? With respect to what their popularity was at their height in the 80's, now what it is now, who is the most popular living person from the 80's? Madonna?
Are we talking alive or general because I’d Say Ozzy was one of the more popular. Hogan became more popular for all the wrong reasons the last 15 yrs. 80s bands have made a resurgence in the last 10 yrs. Madonna probably living along with Tom Cruise. Was just texting with my wife about what a bad week it's been for 80's legends and it got me thinking.

Tom Cruise was actually the second person I thought off, but Michael Jordan as mentioned earlier was an omission my part, more because I think of him as a 90's guy but that's not entirely accurate.
As an 80's child/teen just thinking of this in terms of who were the immense stars from that era, people who dominated the famous landscape, the people I'd read about in my mom's Star Magazine when I was dropping a duece, those kind of people.

George Kooymans, guitarist and co-lead singer of Dutch rock band Golden Earring, has passed away at the age of 77, after a long battle with ALS.
RIP to the author of the classic song 'Radar Love'.
Already 62 and has looked rough at times. Hopefully he takes care of himself.I think Jordan leaving us would be a real smack in the face.

Arnold and Stalone, Tyson, Jordan, Shaq, Trump, maybe Tiger Woods.

Forget the party itself, best mom ever.Man, my 8th birthday party had a bunch of boys over and my mom rented clash of the titans and the wrestlemania where hulk slammed Andre. Still the best bday party ever.
RIP Hulkster
