A-List Celebrity To Be Outed As A Sexual Predator (1 Viewer)

crazydaysandnights.net

Stumbled on this over on the twitters.  Prefer the ones where the blind is revealed

oof

whoa, actually like this guy...

About a year and a half ago I was sexually assaulted by ______________. After mounting himself on my then underage friend after she kept saying no, he started talking to me and offering to read my scripts. I was of course excited and had a bit of a crush on him. We made out and fooled around, I was thrilled.

jesus  :(

Who is that referring to? Who is the predator?

The defense of Aziz as compares to who goes on the cross is interesting.  I'd say what Aziz did is "worse" my own personal metric, but Aziz is a smiley likeable little fella that people want to keep watching tell jokes.
I agree there is an angle to this.  Given the characters Aziz has played, being an aggressive ####### in the bedroom (or kitchen) is just hard to picture.

Oh, I thought it was a direct interview of the person. I did not watch the clip.
So now the writer of the Aziz Ansari piece goes after her critic Ashley Banfield

LINK

“‘Ashleigh — someone I assume no one under the age of 45 has ever heard of — I hope the 500 retweets on the single news write-up made that burgundy lipstick, bad highlights, second wave-feminist has-been really relevant for a little while…'”

Clearly struck a nerve. Ashley responds. CAT FIGHT!

Ashleigh returns fire

“I was brown-haired for a while when I was a war correspondent, interviewing Yasser Arafat, and in Afghanistan and Iraq, Gaza and the West Bank. Google those places.”

“We do not attack people for their age, or their highlights or their lipstick because it is the most hypocritical thing a woman who says she supports the women’s movement could ever do and that’s the caliber of the woman who was given all of this power and was able to wield this power.”
OH SNAP!!

It's an unequivocal no from me. The way your colleague Ashleigh (?), someone I'm certain no one under the age of 45 has ever heard of, by the way, ripped into my source directly was one of the lowest, most despicable things I've ever seen in my entire life. Shame on her. Shame on HLN. Ashleigh could have "talked" to me. She could have "talked" to my editor or my publication. But instead, she targeted a 23-year-old woman in one of the most vulnerable moments of her life, someone she's never f------ met before, for a little attention. I hope the ratings were worth it! I hope the ~500 RTs on the single news write-up made that burgundy lipstick bad highlights second-wave feminist has-been feel really relevant for a little while. She DISGUSTS me, and I hope when she has more distance from the moment she has enough of a conscience left to feel remotely ashamed — doubt it, but still. Must be nice to piggyback off of the fact that another woman was brave enough to speak up and add another dimension to the societal conversation about sexual assault. Grace wouldn't know how that feels, because she struck out into this alone, because she's the bravest person I've ever met. I would NEVER go on your network. I would never even watch your network. No woman my age would ever watch your network. I will remember this for the rest of my career — I'm 22 and so far, not too shabby! And I will laugh the day you fold. If you could let Ashleigh know I said this, and that she is no-holds-barred the reason, it'd be a real treat for me.

Thanks,
Katie
I see a true Millennial at work here.

That "writer" is a horrible POS. So much for sticking up for the fellow woman. When one criticizes you, you go for the throat by attacking her age and appearance. Great job at setting back the feminist movement 20 years!

This is the exact reason I am thinking its some kind of ruse or set up.  This cannot be real.  If it is then God help the younger entitled generation

calling her out on her accusations? give it a name ...

my point stands, semantics be damned - if it were Nancy Grace, everyone would be applauding the missive from the "millennial"
meh ... i thought it was a well though out piece on the dangers of calling everything sexual assualt.

The old , dyed hair stuff was an attack

I saw one headline which called the Ansari article as the #metoo movement jumping the shark. I can see people start turning on the movement now just because of that one dumb article. Great job Katie Wray!

Has anyone identified what second-wave feminism is and why it might be important here? Or are we all too male and never dated its ridiculous cousin?

Let me clue you guys in: This is a person who has definitely been on the internet doing some SJW ####. Second-wave feminism is seventies feminism. Good luck dealing with that. The excesses have been noted ad nauseam, by many parties. Good luck with that.

I'm genuinely hoping this story doesn't derail the ongoing discussion and repercussions regarding legitimate sex harassers/offenders. I can imagine a lot of guys seeing this and thinking- aha... it's all bs.

and jfc... classy work by that 22 yo writer. reminds me of the group selfie a bunch of 20-somethings took in a front of a building in my neighborhood that had literally just exploded killing two and injuring many more- all smiling and putting on their best look at me faces while NYFD risked their lives trying to find survivors.

I think one of the points of Grace (and maybe the author) is that Aziz is a legitimate sex offender.

Grace says her friends helped her grapple with the aftermath of her night with Ansari. “It took a really long time for me to validate this as sexual assault,” she told us. “I was debating if this was an awkward sexual experience or sexual assault. And that’s why I confronted so many of my friends and listened to what they had to say, because I wanted validation that it was actually bad.”

Anybody caught up in Tweet Lives Matter or can't/won't see outside the media maelstrom immediately disqualifies their humanity and it's getting so a hefty portion don't even see that.

ok... it's easy to jump to and stick with conclusions based on what's been presented... so I went back and reread the original "outing" article about ansari. his behavior gets a little creepy (the claw and the continued move of her hand to his ####, in particular), but if he's a sexual offender in need of being publicly called out on it based on what I've read there- almost all men are.

verbal signs <> words. and for me, that's the bottom line. and I suppose her, trip to his apartment, nudity and double bj might equate some verbal signs too that could be misread.

you know I'm with you gb- even if we don't have to agree. just not clear on what specifically you're talking about- am I the source? the original article outing ansari? the followup backlash?

I read soc out loud as "sosh", like from the outsiders, and not "sock". I think I'm good here.

Nah, I'm pretty sure we'd have the same reaction.

Ashleigh Banfield has legit journalistic credentials, so attacking her for her journalistic take on the situation was untenable from the jump. Nancy Grace OTOH, was a lawyer (maybe? IDK). She seems to have some semblance of legal beagle in her. Criticizing Nancy Grace would have opened up the snowflake to being a hater of old people as well as the obvious charge of attacking someone who (presumably) knows what they're talking about.

When you're bragging about being 22, and throwing out ad hominem attacks, we all recognize this as this chick showing her ###.

This Grace chick is a third-wave feminist. Third-wave feminists could be argued to have turned the whole concept on its head. First-wavers were those marching in the 1910s pushing for the vote; second-wavers (what Banfield is being mocked as) were those 70s women who sought true equality. These third-wavers, OTOH, are more about victimhood, man-hating, and "cat" hats.

The first two waves have accomplishments that can be discussed and debated for their historical significance. However, third wavers have done pretty much nothing to move the ball down the field. In fact, I'd say the concept is going backwards because of them.

Yeah, there are three waves. I'm saying that actually this fourth wave -- and it may be a fourth wave -- is a revivalism of the third wave and indicative of the "New Victorians" like Catherine MacKinnon and Andrea Dworkin. I also never liked the second wave in that it sought to enforce equity of result and equity of conscience upon everybody. I could explain that, but probably not in this context or about these crimes against women.

The badge of the only "wave" of feminism that will actually matter will be that it requires as much of the oppressed as the oppressor. I'm in 50+ years of watching freedom, opportunity, equality struggles by now and the only one which even began to do it right was Malcolm X, who stressed black people work on themselves in order to work more effectively on their struggle for freedom. Any feminism which does not include a severe review of women conducting life backwards in high heels and engaging in sexual frauds as paths to lives of ease hasn't a hope of being anything more than a general irritant.

The broad claimed he had railed her underage friend but as soon as he feigned interest in her writing she went on a date with him and got naked back at his place. He could have railed her six ways to Sunday provided he actually advanced her script.

I was talking about Ansari, not Franco

this one is particularly galling to me

"he attempted to assault my friend.. she rejected him and was devastated by it. moments later i had my tongue down his throat because i thought he was cute and we ####ed a lot over the next few weeks.  #menarepigs"
