Any News on Kevin Smith? (1 Viewer)

I did a search on this but couldn't find anything, so I apologize if this has already been addressed somehere in the pool. CBS Sportsline is reporting that Kevin Smith did not return to the game yesterday after being removed in the 4th quarter due to an "undisclosed" shoulder injury. I just checked the FBG "Injury" thread and read some entries being posted during the game that initally mentioned a shoulder but then a possible injured knee. No news since then

Anyone with any updates or knowledge?

(Rotoworld) According to the Detroit Free Press, Kevin Smith suffered a shoulder injury, not a knee injury in the Lions' Week 12 loss.

Analysis: Smith had his knee looked at by trainers in the fourth quarter, but that injury apparently isn't a concern. There are no indications that Smith's injury is serious, but track early-week practice reports closely. The Lions are on the shortest week in the league with a 12:30ET game on Thanksgiving day.

Good work...thanks!

That's really good news. He's got some great playoff week matchups (Ind 15 & NO 16) and it'd be a shame if he got banged up before seeing those opportunities. For those of us who have guys with tough schedules down the stretch like Barber, Chris Johnson, etc., he's coming on at just the right time.
