AP's tragic situation (1 Viewer)

Ugh, sad and pathetic. I know it is "barbaric", but how can't you wish that Peterson could be given 2 minutes in a cage with this POS?

10 seconds to crush his skull, the rest of the time to piss on him.

Its okay to wish that. It would never happen, even given the opportunity I think AP is too nice of a guy and would probably just forgive him. But I don't think that makes you a bad person for thinking it.

Horrifying situation for any parent of a young child to be in. I'm sure there are all types of what-if scenarios racing through this mind right now. Hopefully he is surrounded by the right people.

I can't imagine what I would do. But I know I would want to take out that rage on something. Its only natural right.

AP says there is no doubt he will play. If you are a Carolina Panthers defender, aren't you ####ting yourself a little bit more than normal right now? Seems to me the great players strive on adversity like this as they channel their pain like fuel into their passion. I'm going to have the pop-corn ready for Sunday, and I'll probably break down in tears at the first sight of AP on the sidelines.

from Adrian Peterson's twitter:

@AdrianPeterson
Thank you to my family, my fans and fans of other teams for their support.

@AdrianPeterson
The NFL is a fraternity of brothers and I am thankful for the tweets, phone calls and text messages from my fellow players.

@AdrianPeterson
God Bless everyone and thank u so much.

You are never supposed to bury your children. I can't understand at all how he could play through this. It just baffles me.

I think this is one of those cases where the owner and coaches ought to say "go. We will be here when you get back."

News like this makes me want to lose faith in humanity. It's disgusting that anyone would harm anything as perfect as young, innocent children.

Let us take time to mourn the child's death and remember AP is a human being. Please, any updates on what you think he will do on the field, or if he will play at all- take it to another thread.

I started this thread to get updates on the child and Aps wellbeing.

I for one will be praying...

Well, here's the thing. The child died. And AP has requested be respectful of his privacy, so he's not going to be handing out info about his personal well-being.

So.

I guess you can petition the mods to lock the thread, or you can let people talk about whatever they want to talk about. Your call.

Rip to his son. How very sad. I have a 2 year old son and cannot imagine. The monster who did this should pay with his life

Wow, just awful and disgusting. Felt sick to my stomach after reading that he passed away.

How the #### does someone even do that and live with themselves?

if you didn't want these kind of responses you probably shouldn't have posted thus to the "shark pool" where we are supposed to talk about football. Not to sound rude, I just wish people would use the free for all thread for what its meant for and the shark pool for football talk. In no way am I trying to say this is not a tragedy, just saying, if you post in the shark pool, you should expect that kind of response. I am very sorry for A.P.'s loss don't get me wrong.

Prison justice is very real and often very deserving.

The guards will hopefully turn their backs and let the inmates have their way this guy.

Estimates range from 600 to 1400 cases of shaken baby assaults per year with 20 percent of them fatal.

Regretably this monster is not alone. In some cases the person acts out of extreme frustration and doesnt realize the incredible damage that can be done to a baby.

Dont know the full story here obviously.

If it sheds more light on this problem, there can be good that comes from this tragedy (and all the others that occur literally every day and dont make national news)

Not trying to be "that guy", but I cannot for the life of me fathom how AP was at PRACTICE while his kid was hanging on by a thread.

Ive read the "sports is my release" lines... And frankly, I dont buy it.

Terrible, terrible ####### news. Tragic. I just dont know how he went into work instead of spending his last minutes with his kid.

Don't think anyone can say until it happens to them. Peterson's not alone - as many do. I'd guess most, even.

as someone who is married to a Children's Protective Services Crisis Response worker, this kind of tragedy happens way too often. The details are usually horrific and the punishment is never enough.

I dont understand either. I could not go right back to work if it was my kid. The kid was probably a mistake and it probably wasnt even a big part of AP's life. No one seems to know his relationship with this child, for all we know he wanted nothing to do with the kid and just got out of 16 years of child support

sounds like AP didn't even know about this child until recently and the child wasn't a part of AP's life.

A child that you raise and are around every day is a different story.

:shock:

Reading this thread and waiting to hear the outcome has been an emotional roller coaster. As a Gerhart owner today has been pretty disappointing; thought for sure he'd get a start this week since the boy expired.
wtf is wrong with you.

I'm sorry, I thought this was a fantasy football forum. I was disappointed that Gerhart won't get a start, not happy that Adrian Peterson's son died. The two are not mutually exclusive.:facepalm:
Shut up and go away you dope.

Reading the thread about BB's son the last few days really made me proud of the FBG community. And then there is this thread . . . . I guess every rose comes with a few pricks

That dude is ####ed. The best thing about prisons is that they tend to have a sense of justice for some of the most insidious types of crimes. Doesn't always work, but crimes against kids are part of their jurisdiction.

Terribly, terribly sad. Perspective.

If I may have one request, lets not feed the trolls. Let's just focus on the issue, which dwarfs anyone's fantasy lineup, as if that would need to be stated.

Apparently you've still got a lot of growing up to do, but odds are, just like AP's son, you're never going to.
enjoy your IP ban.

Everyone just ignore him, he is doing this for a reaction. Don't give him what he wants

What a sickening thing to happen. Sad to say abuse like this happens every day to those most vulnerable. Perhaps a small shred of positive can come out of this,with the attention it is getting because of Adrian Peterson's "celebrity" status,perhaps some attention will be focused on this horrible issue.

Seriously....and with something like a crowbar. A piece like this isnt worth the tax dollars and deserves as much pain as he can be dealt. I hooe his cell mates show no mercy.

They have been discussing this all day here in Minneapolis. From what I've heard they knew almost immediately at the hospital that the kid wasn't going to recover. They made the decision today to turn off the respirator and let him pass.

The only thing AP can do is try to put this behind him. People mourn in different ways. Right now his family is the team.

Yea you're no longer the worst, Keith. This guy is quite possibly the worst troll I've ever seen. Worst as in worst excuse for human existence. Who jokes about a 2 year olds death with political satire and FF jokes. End this guy on here now.
