My MIL coughs all the time. Wont go to the doctor for it. Wont take any cough syrup. Wont use cough drops. Just coughs and clears her throat. Like 500 times a day.

Not just some little dry nervous cough. Loud fits. Over and over.

My wife started coughing months ago. They finally said she had silent reflux and a hiatal hernia. Treating her with Omeprazole. She also takes over the counter Gaviscon when it gets bad after meals. She also sleeps now with the head of the bed elevated to lessen coughing spells.

I would have to find a way to make an AI video and get this suggestion in her threads feed.

She truly believed sean payton kung fu kicked the ref.

I don't know what this sports show is called or what station it's on but it's generally on in the afternoons at sports' bars and it's some sort of fantasy football show. Never any sound on but every time I look up, there's a grown man jogging in place, bobbing his head, jumping. Did somebody in broadcasting think this was a homerun idea? It's ridiculous. Can you imagine the weatherman doing this?
Are you sure it was a fantasy show and not an old SNL episode with Jason Sudeikis doing the running man in Whats Up With That?

I know I was on some blood pressure meds and one of the side affects was a persistent cough. I would get a tickle in my throat that made me go on a coughing spree for a couple minutes and that would happen a few times a day.

I told my doc about it and he changed meds and they are now gone. Pretty odd side affect and I would never have known about it but my wife figured it out because she was annoyed by my coughing.

Mr R had that side effect one of his meds, too. That had to go.

That happens with ACE inhibitors (drugs that end in "pril"). It would happen to me sometimes when I was first on one, but then it stopped. Odd.

Angiotensin receptor blockers (drugs that end in "tan") are similar (they both act on the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system) and are an easy substitution if you can't shake the ACE inhibitor cough.

Could be a bunch of reasons for MILs cough ranging drom acid reflux to allergies to flat out just hating you.

Some people like to suffer.

So a while back my wife asked me to pitch in with the laundry by washing my own clothes. Which has actually worked out well for me as in my opinion she always overloaded the washer, so my clothes get cleaner now. Anyway, she always would take the hangers out of the closet and bring them downstairs, put the clothes on the hangers and carry them back upstairs to put back. With my stuff now I just keep the hangers in place, and anything getting hung up I carry up and then hang at the closet. When I first started I complained we didn't have enough hangers. She disagreed but told me to buy some if I really wanted more, so I did.

She's still constantly raiding my closet for hangers when she does the rest of the laundry. It drives me batty. I have the amount of hangers in my closet that I need. It's not like my clothes are disappearing, so whatever hanger is there without a shirt on it has a dirty shirt somewhere that it is waiting for. I shouldn't have to hunt in the other closets for extra hangers every time I go to put away my clean laundry. :hot:

Send me your address. I have 2 boxes of hangers in my storage area for some reason

Let me try to paint this picture that I've told before

Turn left out of DD parking lot nearish a traffic light. Say 10 car lengths I need to cross the lane right in front of me, a left turn lane for the light on the opposite side and then into the lane I need to travel

Light is red as I pull to edge of parking lot. About 15 cars. Light turns green. There are cars turning into DD, guy in the lane I need to travel 3 lanes over is stopped waving me out......smh. Then he gives me a dirty look when I don't go. He's clogging up traffic because I need to see if anyone is going to be turning left, coming toward me etc etc.

NOt knowing the proper time to wave people in just mucking up traffic infuriates me. On as he goes., the traffic clears up and I pass him at the next light. Grrrr

Was driving back from Naples area to Miami today and needed to get gas. Drove past a Marathon station that was advertising $2.99 and a Mobil across the street that was $2.89. So might as well go for the one that's 10 cents cheaper, right? I pull in, swipe my card and go to select my grade when I notice the price is $3.09. "Dang," I thought. "Fell for the old cash price bait and switch."

Except then I noticed that $3.09 was the cash price, and credit was $3.19. So what was the $2.89 they were advertising in big letters out frontt? The price if you also got a car wash with your gas.

Another thing to watch for is that the low listed price isn't for that 85 octane crap that most cars can't run on decently.

first snowfall of the year here today means red lights are optional. when yours turns green, wait 5-6 seconds because there's going to be an F-25000 barreling down the street that's completely ignoring all signals who will t-bone you if you drive when your light goes green.
Speaking of F250s and all similar tanks that people "need," if it takes you a half hour to navigate your way through a roundabout, that just might be a hint that your vehicle is too freakin' big.

What?
Snow and ice means it's actually safer in some limited situations to push an orange/red light that catches you a little unaware rather than try to brake very quickly and go sliding through the intersection. Of course, you shouldn't be driving that fast to begin with and some people are just stupid or jerks, but it is what it is.
