Yeah? Your boi is the guy who everyone should be jumping because that jerk has played like crap and hurt his team more than any one guy in the entire NFL could have due to his own stupidity.110% done with pettine. Done.

Pettine refusing to cut the cord did.
Im not even blaming Hoyer.... hes just doing what hes being paid to do. Pettine is the idiot.
You dare to say Pettine lost the game. He is a rookie NFL head coach who have the Cleveland Browns over .500 in December. He has coached his ### off. He is the guy who established a running game, he built up the defense while Gordon was serving a suspension for smoking pot.Gordon didnt lose this game.Yeah? a bit harsh, but correct. Pettine is the real deal. You dare to say Pettine lost the game. He is a rookie NFL head coach who have the Cleveland Browns over .500 in December. He has coached his ### off. He is the guy who established a running game, he built up the defense while Gordon was serving a suspension for smoking pot. The idiot WR came back, has run the wrong routes, caused interceptions, killed Hoyer, and then today? Your boi sucked again and you blame Pettine?Gordon didnt lose this game.Yeah? Don't blame Pettine. That idiot WR will be gone long before Pettine.
Now that we're out of the playoffs we can see if Manziel can even play. We know what your agenda has been and what it is today in trying to deflect blame from the moron WR to Pettine. Pettine was doing fine till that jerk came back to destroy the season.
huh? no chance is hoyer back as a backup in cleveland.Browns likely out of play-off contention, but maybe the silver lining is that they won't have to pay Hoyer a ton of cash now to keep him. Veteran back-ups add a lot to a team and its not just on-field play.
I think Pettine has done an outstanding job with this team.
sorry buddy. Manziel is raw and i doubt he can run the offense at this point.but Manziel wouldn't have done any better.![]()
of course it's not a fact. it's my opinion.I also disagree that "Manziel wouldn't have done any better" is a fact. He wouldn't have needed a very good game to top Hoyer's today.
You dont think JFF could've done better than 14/31 140 0 2? Cmon. Colt Freaking Mccoy lit these guys up.of course it's not a fact.it's my opinion.I also disagree that "Manziel wouldn't have done any better" is a fact. He wouldn't have needed a very good game to top Hoyer's today.
fact is the Browns are likely out of the playoffs and Manziel will likely start the next game.
i agree, unfortunately.Pettine - Not cutting bait on him. I think he is a lot of the reason we are having (had) a good season. I'll give this guy more time.
Gordon - Not cutting bait on him. He has looked like ####, but his ceiling is sky high.
Hoyer - Gone. He has blown wayyyy too many games (the colts handed us this one and we just couldn't capitalize) and looks worse each week. He has had plenty of opportunity to right the ship and cant get it done.
Billy - Dont let the door hit you on the way out. Terrible. Just terrible.
Why not? He'll be a back-up somewhere... why not Cleveland?huh? no chance is hoyer back as a backup in cleveland.Browns likely out of play-off contention, but maybe the silver lining is that they won't have to pay Hoyer a ton of cash now to keep him. With everything that's gone on this year they can't bring him back. Word is manziel and hoyer don't even talk to each other. Not really the relationship you want b/t your qb's.Why not? Then I think a little off season reality check on Hoyer's behalf may come into play. He is a back-up QB... not his fault that he was starting, but reality has come home to roost. With everything that's gone on this year they can't bring him back. A young qb needs a backup who will help him develop. Browns aren't going to want Hoyer back and he won't want to be there. Then I think a little off season reality check on Hoyer's behalf may come into play. Guys don't have to like each other to play together. It helps, but not a requirement.
That's great because that's what I thought I saw live. He definitely said ####in somethin.Peyton Marino said:

he will go some place where the starter has a shorter rope, Buffalo immediately comes to mind.Dizzy said:Then I think a little off season reality check on Hoyer's behalf may come into play. huh. ok.Why do you think they flexed over today's game? They want JFF's first start.I don't know the rules in the contract about the flexing, but I think they get a few each after the midpoint of the season. Doesn't seem like they can think about it into the week either.amnesiac said:why is Bengals at Browns on FOX?

I just read a little more about it, it's not even real clear of how these games are being selected. Maybe FOX isn't pulling in specific games they want, I can't tell. But they are getting "extra" games to balance out the schedule with CBS having TNF games with FOX/NFC games/teams.huh. ok.Why do you think they flexed over today's game? Compile the stupidest things said in this thread over the years, and this statement is right up near the top.Pettine should be fired for his handling of the QB situation today.
Wow. If there ever was a reason to bury Hoyer, this is it right here. The Man With No Name said:Hoyer- 1st quarterback since 1997 with no touchdown passes and 2 or more interceptions in 3 straight games.
I am responding to this post for two reasons. First of all, yeah, Hoyer needs to hit the bench and let Johnny take a crack at it. I am traditionally one of the slowest people to go against the starter and call for the rookie backup, but it's officially time. I was ok with Hoyer getting the start this week, but woulda been ok with Johnny. Right now I will not be ok if Hoyer starts next week.and can we stop the "he's 10-5 as a starter" crap? the cleveland browns are 10-5 while brian hoyer happens to be starting for their team. that defense is good. hoyer is most certainly not, and he hasn't been for pretty much this whole season.
Probably right, but Haden had the coverage on the 42 yard TD and the 1 yard game winner. He also forced a Hilton fumble and basically shut down T.Y. in the first half. The job the Browns did on those first six possessions was amazing (five punts, strip/fumble TD).Did it seem like TY was in the slot much of the 2nd half? Definitely a good number of plays. Indy did a good job in that sense getting him away from Haden on some plays.
After K'Waun got hurt I pretty much exclusively watched who Gilbert was covering. Was kinda cool to see an interception happening before it happened. Anyway, throughout the first 2+ quarters there was absolutely no one open, anywhere. The one that broke open deep (Moncrief?) but Luck short armed him was the only receiver I saw break free at any point. After K'Waun got hurt? Luck just kept going after Gilbert and often times Hilton was on the receiving end. Yeah, Haden gave up the scoring plays, but it wouldn't surprise me if every one of his other yards were vs. Gilbert.Did it seem like TY was in the slot much of the 2nd half? Definitely a good number of plays. Indy did a good job in that sense getting him away from Haden on some plays.
They cannot be serious about this, can they?Johnny Manziel's decision to attend a Cavaliers game last Tuesday night was reportedly "seen by some within the organization as a tangible piece of evidence regarding Manziel's failure to work as hard as he should to prepare himself to play."
The report comes from PFT as a follow-up to Jay Glazer's initial report on how the Browns ended up settling on Brian Hoyer as their Week 14 starter. The Browns had the night off Tuesday, but the narrative states that Manziel should have been at the team complex or home studying his playbook. Now that Hoyer has fallen on his face again, coach Mike Pettine is right back where he was last week. Perhaps Manziel will draw the start this time if he doesn't go to this Tuesday's Raptors at Cavs game.
No. Media make believe. Pettine said in his presser Wednesday when asked that they made the decision or thereabouts on Tuesday morning. They cannot be serious about this, can they?Johnny Manziel's decision to attend a Cavaliers game last Tuesday night was reportedly "seen by some within the organization as a tangible piece of evidence regarding Manziel's failure to work as hard as he should to prepare himself to play."

I'm not a believer in Manziel, but the word 'haters' is very much valid here. He's not getting a chance, and quite a bit of media are turning into tabloid journalists over this guy.
