Colin Cowherd Reporting (1 Viewer)

In his early years at ESPN, I really liked him. Maybe it was because he replaced Kornheiser, who was just awful. But his schtick does tend to wear thin after time.

I was just listening to him briefly in the car and he went on a rant about how it doesn't matter who the President is - it doesn't affect his happiness. And if it affects your's, that says a lot about what kind of person you are - i.e., insinuating weak.

That's ridiculously naive and an easy thing for a straight white guy to say.

Glad Cowturd is finally gone from ESPN but I have no doubts someone will put him back on the air and very soon.

Le Batard is the only one I can tolerate now from ESPN and it's only because of his interviews which are some of the best going.

The article did say ESPN offered him a raise to stay but someone had offered him more so it's not like he was fired or that him going somewhere else was a longshot.

Lost in that article is the fact that Bill Simmons is also gone. :( He'll land somewhere.
His whiney nasal petulant voice will be sorely missed
Meh. Was more of a fan of his writing, which he probably hasn't done in quite some time for ESPN, so guess it's a moot point... I'll just continue to live in the past and lol over gems like "Thrown to the Mat in Vegas". Classic stuff.

His early 2000s stuff was amazing. Loved reading his work. But he hasn't been that writer in a number of years.

Good riddance.

Only one worth a damn, IMO, is SVP. The radio is worse off now that he had to leave that for the upcoming late night SC.

I saw that, too, and was amazed. A bidding war for this guy?

Though of course I'm :scared: at what's gonna replace him on ESPN radio since they always seem to find a new low.

I have not listened to much Cowherd recently, but the radio side seem to be in turmoil. I know SVP left for a better gig, but he and Russilo had the best show on.

I'm locked in with Adam Schein every weekday from 10-1. Need to find a replacement for SVP and Rusillo though. Rusillo is ok, but they were much better as a team. Will give Stephen A a shot I guess.

Turn the radio off and open a book.

Just joking. But only a little bit.

Glad he's out. Listened to him a bit a few years ago but every damn time I hear him now while changing channels he's opining about a US city.

I don't even call it a sports show. I think it was a modern social studies / media business show.

Russillo is still pretty good, but SVP was easily the best on ESPN radio.

Not sure what all the haters are celebrating... two networks got into a bidding war over him and he went with the highest bidder.

That's his whole deal. If you don't agree with his ignorant ideas, you're weak and dumb. Terrible shtick. He's a really pathetic little man. Went on and on for years dogging people who have left espn over the years for more money. Not a bit surprising he's doing the same thing. Guy is a loser of the worst kind.

One thing that Cowherd does that constantly annoys me because, from him, it is so predictable and he just harps on it, is that he insists on making comparisons of sports to dating advice. He will say something like, "The Cowboys are like that hot girl you dated in high school who went away to college..." or something insipid like that.
It would be quicker to list all of the non-stupid things he says.
"It would be quicker to list the states in which I'm not." -Mike, BB

Right? :P

Embarrassing how much better that show was than anything else.

Leaves a big hole in their midday, with SVP leaving radio to do a late nite SC in the fall, the afternoon cast is up in the air too.
