***Conference Collision #2 on MNF - Baltimore Ravens 11-3 at San Francisco 49ers 11-3*** (-5.5, 46) Christmas Night - 8:15 (1 Viewer)

Possible preview of the Super Bowl (and rematch of the SB from 2013).

SF this year: #3 in the NFL in points scored (30.4 ppg); #2 in points allowed (16.7).

Bal: #4 in points scored (27.4), #1 in points allowed (16.1).

Baltimore need to win to maintain the lead over Miami and hold onto control of the #1 seed; SF can afford to lose one and still control their own destiny.

Should be an amazing matchup and the toughest test either team have faced. Great way to end the holiday weekend of football.

Here's another fantasy gold game of the week.
Who do you try to control if you're the Ravens D?
More eyes on CMC leaves Deebo to contend with.
Extra help in the secondary to keep eyes on Brandon,Deebo that tight end guy leaves CMC to have his way.
Blitz the possible MVP quarterback? He's one of the best handling pressure according to the stats.
Ravens seem a little easier to defend, all eyes on LaMar,even with that he can make plays.
Any one mistake could turn this game around.
I'll say LaMar makes one...

Niners- 34
Ravens- 29

Super Bowl preview as the NFL script and Super Bowl logo colors conspiracy theory lives on....whoever wins this game, will lose in the Super Bowl.

Ravens - 35
49ers - 31

I don't think Baltimore can win a "pretty" game against SF. The Niners have way more offensive weapons than the Ravens do. Both defenses are good at splash plays. For Baltimore to win, it has to be one of those ugly slogs.

Ravens practice report:

Ravens not practicing: WR Odell Beckham Jr., CB Jalyn-Armour Davis (concussion).

WR Zay Flowers (foot), CB Ronald Darby, RT Morgan Moses all returned to practice.

LT Ronnie Stanley (concussion) came out to practice with a non-contact jersey on, so he's still in protocol.

49wrs Pre-practice injury update from Kyle Shanahan:

Will not practice: Arik Armstead (foot, knee), Javon Hargrave (hamstring), Oren Burks (knee), Elijah Mitchell (knee), Jauan Jennings (concussion protocol), Ross Dwelley (ankle)

Limited: Clelin Ferrell (ankle)

Ravens players playing the disrespected card for being underdogs against SF.

Do they not know that SF is tied with them for best record in the league and are at home?

If the game was in Baltimore, I could see them taking it personally, but its a road game on the West coast against the team that is favored to win the Super Bowl. Settle down, nobody is being disrespected.

Ravens' pass defense dvoa vs. position (ranks):

WR1: #15
WR2: #5
WR3: #7
TE: #14
RB: #24 (!!)

Big chance for a big Christian McCaffrey receiving game on Monday night

Are you new to sports?

This game has minimal impact on the Ravens' pursuit of the #1 seed - win or lose, their game on New Year's Eve vs Miami is still likely to decide the AFC.

Monday Night on the West Coast means Baltimore doesn't get home until 5 or 6 am on Tuesday, then have to get ready for the huge game vs. Dolphins. I think the Ravens sit out anyone remotely injured, limit Lamar's exposure behind their terrible Tackles against SF's pass rush, run the ball 40 times, try to get the game over as fast as possible, don't tip their hand on defensive schemes in anticipation of a possible Super Bowl rematch, and don't worry too much about the outcome.

SF: 27
Ravens: 13

I was thinking 30-17 and agree with all of your logic.

Isn't this the SB matchup based upon the conspiracy theory that the SB Logo colours will be the SB teams?

What an interesting, intelligent take.

This is spot on. I would guess the Niners would be about a 1 or 2 point favorite in Baltimore.. Where is the disrespect..

I think there is a decent case to be made for SF to just tank this one. Just play very vanilla and pull your starters early. This is your most likely superbowl opponent. Don't give them a preview of what they are going to face. SF can afford to lose one anyway, and a light week wouldn't be the worst thing in the world for CMC and Deebo.

No chance they actually do this, but seems like a decent idea.

So. I'm knocked out unless George Kittle has a George Kittle game. I need at least 100 and a TD.

Game of the week. Both teams are so good neither will let up on the gas pedal until it's over. Let's see come fire works boys.

Niners 35
Ravens 31

Exciting game for sure but way more important for San Fran than Baltimore. San Fran essentially clinches a bye with a win tonight and then it’s rest city for their stars. If Baltimore wins tonight, they still need to beat Miami next week to clinch the bye.

SF makes the statement (again) that they are the most complete team in the NFL.

Brock Purdy seals his MVP run. Not Lamar Jackson.

49ers 34
Ravens 13

I'm pretty much spending xmas alone today. My grown daughter is around and I'm fixing us xmas dinner later, but she's doing things. My nephew stopped by to exchange gifts about three hours ago. He's an FFGuy. I showed him the league I'm stressing today. Close game. I am pulling away, but he has McCaffrey and Ji'Ayir Brown (SF safety for non idpers). I have Purdy.

He just showed up with a McCaffrey bobble head, a chicken bone, and some needles. So Christian is under a voodoo curse tonight. I apologize to his owners in advance.

CMC and Deebo going in several leagues, mostly gravy tonight, don't need any big hero scores
Looking forward to my first MoP/MoP Jr Final next week

Ravens don't even need this game, do they? SF needs two of three and are at home. Think both teams play it fairly close to the vest but SF wants/needs it more and win with a surprisingly low score and ultimately boring game

Kyle Hamilton has really come on this year. Remember when he was too slow? I love watching him play.
