Desert Island Song Draft - Alphabet thievery afoot - Thievery abounds, XTC and Queen popular. Starting Round 25. Chaos coming (2 Viewers)

so this is your "I"?

I was thinking it was a "J" but not sure, either.
Wouldn’t it have to be “I” for his last name? (Or F for 400)

I thought because it was a band name instead of a solo artist, it would start with the first name on the band. Jason Isbell solo would be under "I." I was considering someone whose band is "[first name, last name] Trio" and figured it would be under the first name. Certainly could see it going either way, though.

I think with most Lead Singer and the Band names, the singers last name would be how it’s alphabetized. I’d name a few but don’t want to spotlight.

Sure, I could see that being different than Name Name Trio that I mentioned earlier. Seems that's the way most people are seeing this, so we should go that way to be consistent.

Go ahead. No one is looking for Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers under "T".

Yeah, that was one of the examples I was thinking of.

Lots of you have my number (rock and Tasker pick right near me) and I can PM it to others/add to a spreadsheet if we have one.

I'm more than glad to handle PMs or texts on the serpentine turn and can text you when I'm done picking mine on the initial turn order, but I'm also not checking in as much, so I don't know how reliable I'll be. Normally I lurk the whole time, but I've got a bunch of stuff going on right now. That said, always feel free to contact me, NV.

@Hov34 and @tuffnutt can both pick
Once either pick, Northern Voice is up

On the Jason Isbell thing, he is an I.
Others that are names, but not of anyone in the band are

Marshall Tucker Band is an M
Jethro Tull is a J
Paul Revere and the Raiders is a P
Rilo Kiley is an R
Sigur Ros is an S
Luscious Jackson is an L
Veruca Salt is a V
Monty Python is a P

Alice Cooper is a trickier one.

@otb_lifer Up
And no Alice Cooper would not go under F.
The choice is either A or C depending on whether the band is Alice Cooper or solo Alice Cooper.
I believe when Vince baby got inducted in the hall of fame, he went in as a band.

If he released anything under the name Vincent Furnier, then F

greatest female punk vocal ... ever (sorry, Poly)

Golden Boys - Vagina Dentata

"Like a punk Delilah, she claimed hearts as well as manes. Any party with Gerber in attendance was 100% guaranteed not to be dull…"

Michelle Gerber was a close friend of Darby Crash of The Germs. Following his death and subsequent breakup of The Germs in 1980, she eventually formed the band Vagina Dentata with Germs guitarist Pat Smear and recorded a rare version of the awesome song “Golden Boys”, reputedly one of the last songs co-written by Darby Crash

🖤

... @Mrs. Rannous UP

ETA: HOPEFULLY FILED UNDER "VEE" FOR VICTORY
