Nice picks. RIP to Orr. Totally agree on his lead vocal Cars songs.1975 The TUBES-WHITE PUNKS ON DOPE

I was always partial to Orr's lead vocal songs by The Cars. His solo album was lightweight but I love this song

Haile Selassie, yes.I just watched a documentary about Bob Marley. I never knew Rastafarian was born out of believing hail selessie (spelling?) was god. Wtf
No response necessary. Don't want to drown this thread in history talk.
Steam escaping in a good way. That song was a crowd-pleaser at my high school dances, it got all the teen girls going. Is that like steam escaping?Yesssssss.timschochet said:1999- Backstreet Boys "I Want It That Way"

Evander Kane had a big night, eh? No Gordie Howe hat trick?
No rush, just didn't understand going at a slower pace. The pace is fine now, just thought everyone was getting in 4 songs/day. Again, i couldbe wrong about what the pace is.Aerial Assault said:What's the rush? Let's just do two picks a day and see how it goes for a while. We're still making good progress and have a ton of great chatter but the mechanics of managing the clock and skips are more trouble than they're worth IMO.
I think two picks a day are plenty for now since it's a journey not a race. Probably won't bump to three picks until after President's Day.

Top combo of the draft so far for me anyway. Kudos HT!!!![]()
QUAY-LUDE! QUAY-LUDE!
I think it has varied, but I'm on a post so I'm not sure. Anyway, if the consensus is four a day I'm not going to be mad or anything. No rush, just didn't understand going at a slower pace. This has been an outstanding draft so far, as much for the commentary as the selections.Doesn't fit my theme in this thread...Lol. I saw that, timmy!!!
I agree. Why do we have to rush? I want to savor the music.Aerial Assault said:What's the rush? Let's just do two picks a day and see how it goes for a while. plus Lindsey effing buckingham10.21a Don't Change - INXS - 1982
10.21b Holiday Road - Lindsey Buckingham - 1983
INXS song is awesome and I can't go through the 80s decade without one campy song - plus I loved that movie when I was a kid.
2 picks a day please.
When we rush through things, we dont talk about the music and its all one big jerk fest to see who finishes first.
I want everyone to come
Holiday Road is great. I pick songs for these drafts that I have given 5 stars in my iTunes account (that is my first filter) - it just probably isn't in the wheelhouse of most of the drafters. I went to a Fleetwood Mac concert last April. It was an amazing show and Buckingham didn't disappoint. No solo stuff by him or Nicks though.10.21a
Sure, from the guy who pops in once a day.2 picks a day please.

We have done a ton of these, and the interest still seems pretty high still, so that is great. Just wonder if the interest will stay that high if we stretch this to 3 1/2 weeks of drafting.
How about a hybrid suggestion and if we do the two picks a day, we do one in the am, one in the afternoon? Other drafts have gone to one a days, and people dump off their picks in the morning and don't come back around as much after that. That would stretch out the picks a tad, and keep people coming back in the thread a little more.
I just need to dip into the music before the draft is over I guess.
No Travolta + Newton-John? Travolta can actually sing surprisingly well.Holiday Road was my top '83 choice for a couple days but then IDOL took over
However I still need a campy movie tune
Frankie Valli - Grease (1978)

This country is terrificI am ducking hammeredc and owe picks, I think. Last year I saw Brandon Flowers live. Whatever, Europe loves him, NA hates him anyway who am I to say your whole country is wrong?

I am thinking of going to the Barenaked Ladies + OMD + Howard Jones in June and the Heart + Joan Jett + Cheap Trick show in August. It is by far my favorite venue in the Denver area (assuming good weather). They are playing The Soft Bulletin in its entirety at Red Rocks the end of May but its on a Thursday. The Dreaded Marco said:Love this song. I think so. I'll just take one for now, nobody else seems to want. So, are we free-for-all on Round 11?
