One of my favorites of last year. Their best stuff since '88, IMO. Any fans should definitely check it out.I had no idea Maiden released an album last year

Fantastic. I had that down for '89 in my notes though.14xx: "Epic" - Faith No More (1990)
A lot of eclectic stuff going on here - fits my collection well.
It's it. What is it?
Was only able to get through three songs because I have a class coming in, but so far, sounds like MaidenNice - will be curious on your take of the album.Listening nowOne of my favorites of last year. Yep, they don't reinvent their sound or anything. Just love that they got back to putting out great stuff after the awful 90s output. Was only able to get through three songs because I have a class coming in, but so far, sounds like MaidenNice - will be curious on your take of the album.Listening nowOne of my favorites of last year. Sadly their Warner Bros. material isn't on Spotify anymoreI seem to take a Funkadelic song in every draft they qualify for lately.Jesus, I love this record. eta: it didn't quite fit what I was going for, but I'm glad it's on our collective jukebox. Thanks, KP!

That whole 36 chambers album is beastly13b - Wu-Tang Clan - "Protect Ya Neck" (1993)
One of the greatest posse cuts of all-time. Enough said.
Call me the rap assassinator
Rhymes rugged and built like Schwarzenegger
Also love the names in the video....Ghost Face Killer![]()

Agree completely, but talking album-wise. You have to shift through a lot of dreck to get the couple gems from those albums. I was surprised how good the Dickenson solo stuff was though.Cmon dude. This draft keeps getting better.
Big fan of the Di'Anno years up through Piece Of Mind, but spotty for me thereafter. As incredible musicians as they are, they never really morphed much.Outside of a song here and there, I've never been able to get too excited about newer Maiden stuff
you owe a pick in GobblerOutside of a song here and there, I've never been able to get too excited about newer Maiden stuff
Fair enough. I think for me it still just hits that spot of being my favorite of the metal bands of the 80s,and they are still rocking and having the best output of any of those bands.Outside of a song here and there, I've never been able to get too excited about newer Maiden stuff

I had a lot of trouble picking one. There were 3-4 others that I strongly considered. That whole 36 chambers album is beastly
Not one bad song
VeryGroovy tune.
Nope, but did many of those metal bands? I probably got into them later than some, so 7th Son is still one of my favs. I think every album from Killers ---> 7th Son is great.Big fan of the Di'Anno years up through Piece Of Mind, but spotty for me thereafter. I guess I've left all my teenage faves in a time capsule.. I still listen to their 80's #### all the timeFair enough. Never heard this before - fantastic!
Yeah, I am thinking about changing my Screeching Weasel pick to something on Spotify. Just seems like an incomplete draft if all the songs you chose aren't listenable on the master list.Sadly their Warner Bros. material isn't on Spotify anymoreI seem to take a Funkadelic song in every draft they qualify for lately.Jesus, I love this record. eta: it didn't quite fit what I was going for, but I'm glad it's on our collective jukebox. Revisit the self-titled debut. I like a lot of the DiAnno stuff better too.. grittier, maybe a little more personality.. Oh, no question. And hardly ever recognized properly, either. Nice catch. This was a great comeback song by them. After their huge early-mid '80s success, they were kind of bleh, but this was a gem. Love the guitar work here of Warren Cuccurullo, who used to play with Zappa and Missing Persons, and replaced Andy Taylor. I still say that, pound for pound, John Taylor was one of best bass players of his day.14.12 - Ordinary World - Duran Duran (1993)
