Divisional Round Game Thread - Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants (3 Viewers)

WTF? Looks like Coughlin complained enough that they picked up the flag. Thats BS since Webster had his hand on Curtis' arm.

You can't throw the flag and then pick it up when the penalty actually occurred. It may have been iffy to start with, but it was PI. It just makes the refs look incompetent.

Nothing like letting the home crowd influence picking up a flag on what should have been a penalty.

Either way, Philly needs to be smart with the ball and not turn it over. Go into the 4th with the lead and make Eli make plays into the wind to beat you.

The Giants are now in big trouble. They can't get in the end zone and now the Eagles can push it out to 5 points minimum.

HUGE 3rd and 1 play coming up. This could be the game.

and i agree about the Aikman call earlier. it seems really bias today, and unlike him. Is he being encouraged to do this or what?

Nice drive eating up the clock and the Giants opportunities with the wind.

Not lets finish this off with a big TD! :goodposting:

At least he was on top of Baskett's solid block. But in general, yeah - he tends to lean a bit away from Philly. If this was DAL / PHI it wouldn't be close.Joe Buck did set him up earlier, saying "Eli would make a play late" and Aikman said it'd be either him or McNabb - pretty evenhanded.

Celek TD!

Eagles up 9 now in the 4th quarter and the Giants going against the wind.

Eagles TD puts the NYG in a bad way here. Two score deficit and wind agianst them, 4th quarter. Huge TD pass to Celek. Huge drive period. McNabb looked fantastic on that drive - squarely he is the catalyst for this O today. Without him, these birds would be grounded today. All 5, all day since the late 2nd.

Let's see if there's any letup in the Eagles defense now that they are staked to a two score lead.

Earlier this year, some people suggested that Eli might be better than his big brother. (I won't mention any names.) Well, with Peyton down by 9 in the 4th quarter, I wouldn't be all that concerned. It's not great, but you know he can do this. With Eli, even with a better team around him? I'd be VERY concerned.

McNabb looks at Westy, uncovering Curtis.

McNabb playing at a very high level.
:goodposting: I hope Eagle fans FINALLY realize they have one of the great QBs in the league here.
just a quickie here, but a lot of Eagles fan like McNabb a lot and realize this. 15% are sports radio dorks who regurgitate whatever they hear. maybe more than 15% because a lot of people are dumb in this world, but McNabb has a lot of fans who just don't yell as much

I had the Steelers winning the super bowl but I think the Eagles are a terrible matchup for them. Eagles will beat them.

I don't know about that challenge. He appeared short, and you might cost yourself a timeout that you might need later. Just go for it on 4th and inches. I am sure Brandon Jacobs can pick that up.
