You'd pass what? On him at 1.04? Ok, I think most would agree right now. But at 1.09? 2.01? I think the discussion here is at what point is the value too much to pass.Let's see:- holding out- somewhat injury prone- his QB (and most of the OL it seems) similar- 2 starting OLs already hurt- lost BruceHe could sign tomorrow and I'd pass.

LinkyDespite rumblings over the weekend that there might be some movement on the Steven Jackson front, sources familiar with the negotiations — or lack thereof — say there was no dialogue between the Rams and Jackson's agent save for a brief phone call Friday between the parties.
"It is getting critical to where time now becomes more of an issue for just the physical part of getting ready for the opener," Linehan said. "Every day we miss now … does start to factor in as to what the workload will be from the start.
uug after reading that as much as a hated the idea I might be keeping brady over jackson.I just don't know how high I would go with him anymore. I'm a huge SJax fan, but with the holdout, it seems more and more like an LJ situation as stated earlier. With the new O-line injuries, I would say I would be hesitant taking him in rd.1

Stupid? how about cautious and in some cases smart to be worried, not stupid. Still lots of question marks with the Rams this year. Supreme talent is Jackson, but the Team needs to be in sync to start the year and with Jackson still out it should give some potential owners pause. I would start dropping Jackson down a notch every couple of days going forward that he does not report to camp. You should be thrilled. Go look back through the history of RB's that held out during camp and see how many missed regular season games as a result. You have a lot of stupid owners in your league.he fell to 1.12 last week to me. And I'm scared like hell that he hasn't reported yet.

that's the draft i was in. to much value to pass up there. were you in this draft? and if so what team were you?Stupid? how about cautious and in some cases smart to be worried, not stupid. What, and let you in on all my secrets? I'd have to start posting with an alias. Hint: See the Calvin Johnson thread. LOLYeah, I would've taken him somewhere around 10 or 11, it's going to be really interesting to see how this plays out now. Addai went 1.03 in my weekend PPR draft.I was all set to take Addai at 5 but now I might not get the chanceI really dont wanna make a decision between SJax and Moss
I might try to trade down if Addai goes.
I auction draft so "what round" is N/A to me. Basically I know someone will pay more than I will to get him and he will not be on my team. Way too much risk. You'd pass what? On him at 1.04? Ok, I think most would agree right now. But at 1.09? 2.01? The farthest he should fall under most formats (IMO) is 9 or 10 - that gives you Moss/Brady/top-7 RBs plus any one, but not two, of Barber/Lynch/LJ. SJax should not make it to the 1.12/2.01 flop under most formats.
Exactly. Having a first round pick bust is about the last thing you want to happen. Generally speaking, I'll take safety over glitz and "upside" every time.Stupid? how about cautious and in some cases smart to be worried, not stupid. Still lots of question marks with the Rams this year.
I agree...but I also realize that someone who does take that risk on upside may end up being the champ because of it.I'll take safety over glitz and "upside" every time.
I'm taking Portis at 1.05 and not looking back.Passing @ 5, and praying someone takes Brady or Mossso Addai drops to 5.Don't have the stones to pull the trigger @ #5. And it has as much to do w/ how bad Bulger looks, combined w/ the continued O line injury issues.Pick 8 on (after MBIII and Gore, it's probably easier), but I'd take Lynch over SJ now also. At least @ the tail end of the round, you can cover yourself a little better, reducing the risk.
12 team redraft from last night, he went 1.07My main league's draft is this week and was curious as to where Steven Jackson has been falling to. Have those who have drafted lately seen him dropping past the top 5 or is there still a belief that he'll be in camp and taking him a 3 or 4 is worth while.
