Dynasty Value Discussion Thread (5 Viewers)

I have been offered Achane and Flowers for St. Brown. I need serious RB help. This is a salary cap dynasty league. Hard to go into specifics but I gain some cap moving St Brown but I still have him at a killer value. I guess in a vacuum I'm getting 2 keepers for 1. My league I can keep 3 and RFA 2 that I can retain $5 more than he goes in the auction. I have a strong WR core and as much as I would hate to give up St Brown I have to give a little. FWIW the owner turned down Nabers for Achane.

My keepers would be 3 of these then I could RFA 2
Chase
Jefferson
Nabers
Odunze
Montgomery
Achane
Flowers

Pull the trigger or no?
Nope. Keep ARSB.

Achane is dicey, and Flowers size & the style of offense BAL plays has always concerned me.

I don’t see either of those dudes reaching ARSB’s value, & in a 2 for 1, you want to be getting the 1. There’s a reason your trade partner wants to do it.

If you want to turn ARSB into a RB, I don’t mind that move - but do a 1:1

You clearly have the depth to move him - be patient & wait for a better deal.

ARSB is your #4 wr lol. Trade him for any rb you want.

14 team standard .. was offered:

Gibbs and 2025 1st - projected late

for

JJacobs and NCollins

I am 2-5 currently but only 2 games out of a playoff spot. Injuries and playing the wrong team on the wrong week is the reason for the record. If I do the deal I would be starting:
Mahomes or Daniels, Barkley, JTaylor, Gibbs, ARSB, Kelce or McBride. I do have CMC sitting on my bench. My only concern with the deal is that if something happens to ARSB, my only WRs left are Dell and JSN thanks to the AIyuk injury. Should Monty signing a new 2 year deal be of any concern as well?

Thoughts?

I’d probably rather have the Nico side.

But I prefer building my squads around WRs & acquiring older/cheaper RB to backfill my roster.

I like Gibbs, and believe in the talent. Took me a while to come around on him, but he’s a RL and FF star.

But so’s Nico, and he’s tied to a great young QB. I like your RB room well enough, and don’t think you’re deep enough at WR to move off of Nico.

if you truly think you’re out of it this year, you could probably move a couple older RB to consolidate talent into a premium younger asset?

Just a thought.

Garrett Wilson worth a buy low-ish?
Think the Buy Low time passed, everyone was worried about Adams getting traded for and then once that happened him being the #1 with Rodgers. So far looks like Wilson is still the #1 so if someone wasn't panicked before they certainly won't be now barring some major shift the last half of the season. Offseason may provide another opportunity as there is bound to be some Rodgers drama with will he or won't he come back

NABERS Trade:
Owner of Malik Nabers.... won't trade him to me. Maybe I haven't offered enough.
I can't figure out the right value: below are both team's rosters.
Below are league and roster details. Trades rejected.

League Settings:
10 Team 2 QB Dynasty League. PPR. All TD 6pts. 0.20pt per pass yard. Multiple yardage Bonus tiers. 1st downs and KR pts etc.
Start 2QB 3WR, 2RB 1 TE, 1WR/TE, 1WR/RB 1 WR/RB/TE, 1 K, 1 DEF, 1 DB, 1LB, 1DL
30 roster spots 3 IR.
It's common to use 7 of the 30 spots for the DEF/K/IDP positions to rotate BYEs and INJ. There's unique scoring for IDPs that make it beneficial to have good players.

My team:
7-1. My 2025 picks will all be late rounds. 1st, 2nd, 3rd. I also own mid-early 2nd.
QB: Dak, JLove, Tua, Malik W.
WR: JJefferson, AJBrown, Puka, Olave, London, LaddMcConkey, TDell, Xavier Legette, Troy Franklin, IR CGodwin,
RB: JTaylor, JCook, JKDobbins, NChubb, Tyjae Spears, Tyrone Tracey, Rico Dowdle, Blake Corum, JBROOKS-IR-Ret
TE: BBowers, DKincaid, E.All Jr.
K: Bates
DEF: SEA/MIN
DB:McKinney
LB: Roquan
DL ZAllen, AHutchinson-IR.

His Team
6-2 2nd in scoring by 12pts behind me. Owns all 3 of his 2025 draft pick.
QB: Burrows, Trevor, DMake, Jake Browning.
WR: M. Nabers, D.Adams, ZFlowers, G. Pickens, R.Shaheed, BCook, RayRay McCloud, JWhittington,
RB: BijanRobinson, Breece Hall, Jordan Mason, Chuba Hubbard, IR-Pacheco, Chase Brown, Ray Davis,
TE: Kittle, B. Sinnott, Brenton Strange, Taysom Hill.
K: Koo
DEF CLE
DB: Kirby Joseph, Nick Cross
LB: Okereke, TJWatt,
DL: Maxx Crosby, Trey Hendrickson

Trades offers
Prior to week 1.
Tank Dell & Ladd McConkey for Nabers.
During Week1
Tank Dell & Ladd for Nabers for nabers.
Last week:
Dalton Kincaid, + 2025 2nd + Russ Wilson (He's a huge PIT fan) for Nabers.
(I've since traded Russ for JCook.)

NOTES:
#1 overall pick 2020, 2021, 2022,
#2 overall pick 2023.
2024 took Nabers #6 overall. (I grabbed Bowers 7th).
He knows I like Nabers so I wonder if I'm pressing too hard driving the price up on myself or just making him shutoff to trades.
His WRs lack depth. Pickens, Flowers, Shaheed would be good.
I haven't really offered him a great NABERS replacement WR from my squad. PUKA/ AJBROWN? Puka has been hurt. Am I ready to give him up? AJBrown would be preferred.
NABERS. His QB situation is bad... I feel like this might be as BUY-LOW as it gets for him.
I'd prefer not to give up 1st Rd Pick but I'm open to it. I'm probably picking 8,9,10. Not sure any of the players I'd get would start for me or be game breakers

2025 Top 15 Prospects
QB S.Sanders
RB. AJeanty
WR. TMcMillan
WR. THunter
WR. L Burden
TE Luke Lachey
QB Cam Ward?
WR I. Bond?
WR EEgebuka
WR E Stewart
QB DAllar?
RB THenderon
RB Q.Judkins
QB Q Ewers
WR Tez Johson

I'm not going to pick in the top 5-6. So whatever your bottom 4 of your top 10 players are.
Would you give that player up & ??? for Nabers? AJBrown? Drake London?

Three tight ends can only start 1 in my keeper league trying to balance out which one is worth the most now in a trade and who’s most valuable for me to start the rest of the year and if they don’t intersect I’ll trade who I can for as much as I can:
Kincaid
Pitts
Otton

Keep: Pitts
Trade: Kincaid
Bench for later: Otton

Pitts is playing at a high level now and still has some trade value. I'm guessing Kincaid is hitting that 2nd year lull that a lot of TEs go through. Otton is looking like a guy to roster for next season. If he finishes strong, he'll be a trade high candidate.

A few Points to consider here...

1) He is competing for the Title. Trading away a Key piece of the puzzle would be foolish.
2) Your offers are WAY TOO LOW / Almost insulting low. Nabers is Top Tier dynasty WR. Dell is marginal Tier 4-5 at best (Nico will dominate) Ladd is unknown/not showing elite promise (yet)
3) Buying Nabers should equate to buying the 1.01 pick. You have to pay for it.

What the bird said. Right now, you're WAY off on all 3 of these offers. They would be an immediate decline without counter. This is where trade calculators can help give you a baseline on where your offer should be. They get a bum wrap around here, but calcs like KTC, DTC, and others can help you figure out a reasonable offer AND if that reasonable offer is worth it to you.

I think you would have to offer something like Puka/Olave to even get a response. I don' think I'd even do Love straight up. He's loaded at RB, so I doubt he's interested in any of yours.

Anyone buying low on ETN? Could use another RB in a rebuild and am ok with him being shelved all 2024 if he comes back strong in 2025. I think the injury and a slow team start this year make him a good bit low candidate. Anyone else?

I would, but I’m the one with ETN.

I won’t sell low.
Just got an offer of ETN for my 2025 high 2nd (likely 2.01) and high 3rd (likely 3.01). Smash accept, right?

I’d do that if I needed a RB.

Making sure I understand though - when you say “high 2nd” is that late or early?

Early. Most likely 2.01 or 2.02.

That makes it a tougher call, but 2025 might not be as impressive a draft class as 2024.

So yeah, depends on your need at RB. I’m of the opinion ETN is in a down year due to injury, but Bigsby’s talent is legit. I see a RBBC in the future - I know a lot of folks want to kick dirt on ETN’s grave, but he’s a different type of weapon, and when everything is clicking in JAX he could be the Gibbs to Bigsby’s Monty.

If that’s what you’re looking for, I could see paying a 2.01+3.01. There’s risk, and I think his ceiling is capped. But I don’t think his actual value is as low as his perceived value at this point.

I'd take that offer unless it's a start 11+ league. In that deep format, I want to build around WRs.

OK... Asking for guidance on should I make a trade for "the playoffs"...
Currently tied for 5th but #3 in Total Points and #2 in "All Play Record" (both factors for #6 seed). Record 5-3 record.
1 QB 1-3 RB / 2-5 WR / 1-3 TE with 5 pts TDs and 0.5 PPR / 1.0 TE PPR

Depth is my strong suit and my Bench has outscored my starting lineup multiple times (25 man Roster / 3 IR slots)

RB - Kamara/K Miller; K Walker III/Z Charbonett, Brian Robinson, Aaron Jones, Audric Estime
WR - K Cupp, T McLaurin, C Ridley, K Shakir, J Addison, J Jennings, Metchie, Tolbert
TE - B Bowers, C Otton, N Fant

With the 12-16 schedule favoring Chicago & Pitt for WRs, I am trying to get DJ Moore or G Pickens
Offers like combo of 2 using Shakir/Ridley/Addison or Addison mid 2nd for either have gotten me nowhere.
They always come back wanting Bowers (obviously)
The DJ Moore owner is now focusing on rebuild. He had to start Big Mike Williams this week.
His other WR are Doubs, Dem Douglas, Wan'D Robinson, Vele.

I even went so far as to consider offering QB Drake Maye/Addison for Pickens/Jordan Travis
But we go SF in 2026 and I see Maye being highly valuable (I still have J Love, T Law, Flacco)

IS IT WORTH GIVING UP DEPTH FOR A SOFT SEASON SCHEDULE?
Offer a 3 for 1 or 2 for 1 + pick?

Don't trade Maye for either of those guys. Leagues in transition to SF go through weird fits and spurts of QB value and Maye/Addison for Pickens/Travis is not enough return value, IMO.

To the guys wanting Bowers, you might consider something like Addison/Otton for Pickens/Travis. Otton has been hot, hot, hot lately and should be a good sell high candidate.

Speaking of declined Lamb offers…
My Lamb for his Brian Robinson, R White, Lockett, Tolbert

Insta-decline

ETA: to clarify, they offered those 4 players for my Lamb and I declined immediately

Agreed. Nothing close to talent level for Lamb to be traded. If they added an early 1st, that might be more equitable, IMO

Okay, I was confused. I read it as you offered your Lamb for that group of players and it was declined.

Yes, easy decline there.

SF TEP rebuild

offered Dak + late 2nd for Goff.

Dak is 31, Goff is 9 months younger. Goff seems to have a higher floor, while Dak has the higher ceiling. I suspect Dak will get another HC/OC change this year which could be great or could be another bust. Meanwhile, Goff just goes about his day getting earning that QB10-12 in a stable system.

Would you take the deal?

Being offered Dak or making the offer of Dak?

In rebuild, If I was offered Dak, YES I would take Dak and 2nd as he will likely have a new HC/OC and more weapons surrounding him 2025.

No way I am trading my Goff for that. Dinka hoping Dallas does better job. Detroit setup already. Goff can sling when needed. Unfortunately last 2 weeks not needed. Even if giving up season, I would need more than late 2nd

Checking in on price of Tyreek Hill (Standard Scoring)

For my playoff push I was offered Tyreek Hill for JSN and 2 1st Round Rookie Picks (2026 and 2027)

I think that is too much to give. Would probably give JSN and 1st Rounder.

Thoughts as to Tyreek Hill's value.
