FBG WR Rankings this week -- Holt at # 12 (1 Viewer)

This seems high to me, with the QB being such a mystery. Wondering if I am overlooking something that would justify this position.

Thoughts?

edit: I see this was somewhat covered in the "Brock Berlin to start" thread now. But that's more just talking about Holt's stock dropping this week with Berlin.

In 2005, Holt averaged 7 catches for 79 yards and .5 scores per game with Ryan Fitzpatrick at the helm (or, as he was affectionately known by Rams fans, "Ryan Fitzpatsuck" or "Ryan Suckpatrick"). Over a 16 game season, that's 116/1260/8. It's hard to imagine Berlin being much worse than Fitzpatrick. Granted, it's hard to imagine him being much better, too, but it's hard to imagine him being much worse.

The 2005 Rams O Line was not in shambles like this year - I am not familiar with Berlin. If he is a scrambler he may do okay as the Rams WR are some of the best in the league breaking routes and finding spots.Good luckI just found this draft information - sounds like he is a pocket QB....ouch! Brock Berlin Grade: 3.29 Position: QB Class: Sr School: Miami (FL) Conference: ACC Ht., Wt.: 6-1.5, 221 40 Time: 4.85 Grading System BIO: Former Florida transfer that's started the past two seasons throwing for 56.2 percent/2,509/21/5 as a senior after 59.9 percent/2,419/12/17 the prior year. Second team All-Conference choice in .04.POSITIVES: Improving passer with the skill to backup at the next level. Quick setting up in the pocket, displays good field vision and greatly improved his decision making as a senior. Sharp on the intermediate throws and threads the ball between defenders. Times the outs well. Poised as the pocket collapses around him, displays a quick release and takes the big hit in order to get the throw off. Goes to the safety valve in the underneath coverage if nothing's available downfield. Buys time for receivers and lets them come free before delivering the ball. Some ability to roll outside the pocket and accurately make the throw.NEGATIVES: Cannot drive the deep throw and not accurate down the field. Misses open wideouts because of poor long accuracy. Falls out of throws and struggles getting the ball to the flanks. Must improve his touch.ANALYSIS: A solid short and intermediate range passer who responded with a good senior campaign, Berlin has gone from a draft afterthought to a legitimate late-round pick. Lacks the size and strength to earn a starting job in the NFL, yet could thrive as a team's third passer.PROJECTION: Undrafted Free Agent

Yeah I am seriously considering starting Nate Burleson over Holt today. Holt is a fine talent but this QB with this line is a scaring situation.

There's always the possibility of Holt laying an egg, but Holt is almost certain to be option #1, #2, and #3 in the passing game. Bruce is aging and has been ineffective this season, and none of the other weapons are gamebreakers. Holt's ypc definitely plummeted with Fitzpatrick at the helm, but if you give him enough targets, it doesn't matter who is throwing the ball.Sure, he's a risk, but outside of Owens and Moss (and maybe Wayne, Housh, and one or two other guys), who isn't?

Brock Berlin looks like one of the worst QBs I've ever seen. He was terrible in college and I can't believe they let him anywhere near an NFL roster.
