FFA Fantasy Hockey 2017-2018 (1 Viewer)

I a checking this thread every 15 minutes for league size and date/time info.  this is still 12 teams and sunday at 9pET?

if anyone has a major issue, please let me know. just trying to find a good balance here. PIMs made sense back in the day, but now they do seem kind of dumb as you just hope for a player to get a game misconduct. I decided against going with saves as it puts more pressure on every team to try and max out their goalie starts, and that's tough to do in a 14-team league. plus double skater cats compared to goalie cats seems right to me.

Checking in. I will be drafting on my phone at work. I will try to have the auto draft enabled for any picks where I will be away for more than a minute. 

The good news is that I will be getting paid to draft. Basically now a professional fantasy hockey drafter. No big deal.

Draft Review....    Went upstairs to the "war room" where my son hangs out all the time.   My lap top decided to not connect to the Net and froze up twice. Luckily, he had his two monitor system all set and we drafted from there. I didn't know anyone drafted until end of rd 2.

1) Crosby C
2) Bobrovsky G - we were surprised that he lasted this long.  Scheifile was the best player here, but we did not want to start with two C's.
3) Wheeler RW - very happy with this pick
4) M.Hoffman LWRW - best LW left.  Solid
5) Ristolianen D love his upside this year and the hits and blocks  (also liked D.Hamilton here)
6) Lehner G Sees a lot of shots and had solid SV PCT
7) TJ Oshie RW the safe pick. Aho and Sheary might do better
8) Niederreiter LWRW -  really wanted Rakell here bad. Nino helped us a ton last year.
9) J.Schultz D - shocked him and Klingberg both fell to start of this round.
10) C.Coyle - We had Palat, Silfverberg, A.Lee, Toffoli and Fowler all sniped on us in this round. So we said #### it, and sniped Croyle on you bastards.
11) E.Dadonov RW - our sleeper pick of the draft.
12) Zucker LWRW  We are addicted to + players.
13) L.Komarov CLW - Rude snagged Koivu on us.  We now like it better because we really needed these hits
14) McAvoy D -  Sniped on Zaitsev, Panik, Slavin  :rant: , Dubinsky and B.Ryan this round.  So we went with the hype on this guy.
15) R.Miller G - safe 3rd G
16) J.Morrissey D - sniped on Goloigoski here  like his hits and blocks and upside
17) P. Eaves RW - He's on line #1 with Getz!
18) D.Brassard C - had the most shots left on the board and we needed them the most
19) N.Ritchie - 250 hits and has a shot at 20-20 this year.
20) N.Schmaltz CRW - He's on line 2 with Toews and Sharp and on PP.  Like the upside here 
21) C.Dvorak C another with upside we liked
22) H.Lindholn D - Free pick.  Will put on IR and sign another player.

Had to auto draft for the lasted few picks. Luckily everyone expect the Auto Draft over looked Andrei Markov. I think he might end up as the highest scoring Dman in the THE league. :D

pretty happy with my squad even with autodrafting the first 3/4 (I did move rankings all over the place for the top 250, its crazy how much rankings for FH can vary from site to site). 

I had good intentions of drafting from my phone but my kids football game was too exciting and I didn't even think of it till the game was over.

 
My auto drafted team (with my rankings) is actually not bad but despite my efforts to push them up in the rankings, I still didn't get a decent goalie if anyone wants to trade one. Also PIMs being taken out after I did my rankings kind of reflects on my team (Gudas, Tkachuk, Simmonds, Backes, Jenner etc..) but those guys should all be fine for hits too.

oh, you just declined instead of countered so I figured you weren't interested.

went a little high with some offers but was shocked at how little interest he garnered.  I sold kind of low but felt like I had to.  everyone kept saying they were good at D.

actually, I don't think I declined, once you dealt him it had to be canceled, which I think you did.
