Much like a couple of drunken shore-leave in Pattaya Beach, this thread is one big gift that keeps on giving. Bonus that it doesn't bring about the same annoying itch and searing pee pain most of the time.
While I won't post here from work, I am certainly not above checking in and getting my daily dose of funny. Never fails to entertain.
Even as the drinks start to color the content, the mix of smart wit and poop stories manage to maintain a high level of excellent content. Sunday mornings at work are a lot like driving a party bus, except that you all are pretty well behaved and I know I won't have any puke to clean up when the ride is finally over.

I was out for a walk yesterday and ran into the sister of an old friend. We got chatting and she asked how I was doing. Being also recently single, she gave me her number suggesting we hit the town together some night. I wanted to say "thanks but I'm trying to limit the number of crack-###### in my friend list." Drinking a bit of wine while watching a little leftover Sounder's soccer and waiting for the replay of UFC 131. Maybe I judged my recruiter too harshly so many years ago. If you are going to spend a year plus serving in the Middle East, this is a nice way to do it (Pours 40).

I really did. My wife is awesome.
Lots really and they have shows every month or so on base. Tonight is more quantity over quality, a lovely 2010 Cab/merlot mix from Chile that rings in at an impressive $9 for 1.75l. I do not know a ton about wines, but I do enjoy many. This one is decent for the price. We get a lot of stuff in from Italy during the tastings. I can't bring myself to buy the $20+ ones...can't take it home with me and I would just drink it out here.

I never really understood the song "You're the best... around..." What kind of backhanded compliment is that? 'Hey kid, you're the best... in this room, maybe. Of those I can see standing right here. Definitely the best within arm's reach. If we go outside you might totally suck, but of everyone in this limited group, you're tops.'
Congrats GM, I have run the Sea-fair Half once and it broke me for half a year. Have been shrinking down towards the 3 mile a year club since that time. Not much of a surprise, but the shrinking miles correlates quite nicely with an expanding belt line.
