Hurricane Sandy (3 Viewers)

Seriously concerned, i have trees all around me and they are whipping around like crazy
Get the things you need, get into a bathroom or other windowless room, sit in the dark, and take a few deep breaths for a few minutes and relax as much as possible. You've done what you can to prepare, now you just wait it out for awhile.
Im in the basement watching a movie, came up to check on my leak.... Not panicked just concerned, first time im actually concerned with something like this

Stay off the second floor if its a multiple level home.

I don't know about that. I agree with what he's saying but its not a tone of leadership. He seems more chafed about HE being dissed than the situation. The problem is the problem and it needs solving, not fingerpointing
Christie is great at blaming other people for ish.
No need to politicize this. Not a Christie backer but actually found it refreshing. He, as governor, gave a command for public safety which many ignored. Perhaps he didn't have to do the whole "I told you so" routine, but I can't blame him.

Unless the 1st floor is underwater.

Last time I checked Dominion Va Power there were 10k out. It's now 42k. Thinking it goes much higher.
Gotta think ten times that at minimum. Right now the atmospheric pressure is near a record low for the mid Atlantic, that cold front is gonna pound Pennsylvania and West Virginia and the mountains of Maryland and Virginia. Two-headed monster she is.

Vivian Brown started her shift on The Weather Channel a little while ago and I can't watch her without thinking of that simple Uruk-Hai slobbering over her big juicy booty. :lmao:
:goodposting: :lmao:
Her butt was just over my area on the map! And about 10 miles due west of me area, you could see pink - you know, where the snow is
:lmao:
Whaddaya think? Loony bin with adjoining rooms? We could have our loved ones smuggle in booze for us when we watch the Ravens and talk about how good Glen & Lyle Blackwood would look in Ravens' uniforms right now.
Do the Blackwoods play for Towson? (or "Townsend" if you're Geaux Tigers)Had a big branch break off my biggest back yard tree in the last hour, still hanging up in the branches right over where I usually park my car. The worst is yet to come and I have dangerous trees entirely too close to the house.

I don't speak Spanish, but something tells me that spanish people are laughing at how badly he managed that translation...

Wind is way up over the last hour and my Sister's power is out in Falls Church already. Ours has flickered a few times and the Internet had to be rebooted (the horror). Not looking forward to the next 24 hours.

:lmao:Who else's fault would it be in this case? He's right to be ticked. Because of the idiots that stayed and the idiot mayor that told them to stay, rescue personnel are going to have to risk their lives tomorrow to try to save them. It's a completely selfish and unnecessary risk decision that could cost other people their lives needlessly.

Ok I get they want the best coverage of this incoming disaster, but when do you actually pull your people? I keep waiting to see one of these reporters just fly away into the ocean and they cut away to the anchor with a blank look on his face and they cut back showing the guy being pulled out to sea.

Not to take this political, but he has struggled in crisis. To say that the AC mayor is impossible to work with. Don't whine like a beeyotch now that things are going batty. There is a time and place for what he's saying, and he, for the record, is absolutely correct. But he sounds like a clown for airing this debate publically with the first hurricane in 110 years OVER HIS STATE as we speak

Well they have the best meteorologists telling them what to do. I think most of them were "hunkering down" at the same spot along the shore. I know CNN said they were going to pull their reporter and reposition the truck as the eye passed so I think they know what their doing.

Hurricane tip #8: As the storm approaches, tell all the hot chicks at the grocery store that you are from Florida and you can help them "board up their house."

This is when the hurricane says #### you I do what I want and blows you away. Or drops a car on you (or crane if you are in NYC)

Getting gusts good enough to make the house really creak and the dogs wont stop barking at it. We now have a nice pond in our backyard so I will be shopping for koi later on.

That's true. Those people should have evacuated.
