Crazy seeing the sky light up red...green...blue

Wife and kids sleeping.

I keep waiting for a tree to snap.

Winds are crazy. I don't know how you people deal with tornados and Cat 3 hurricanes....every season.

Seeing tweets/posts that they are flooded all over the place, but haven't seen any official word yet. Hope that doesn't happen. The salt water would be horrible for the system.

These flooding pictures are crazy.

Not to turn this into a TLEF316 financial issue, but my year end bonus is (or was) based on my company's (a large insurance Co) profitability.

So yeah, so much for that....

Very strong company with a long history of solid financials. We'll be fine. But we insure a lot of property in nyc. I don't know how much flood coverage we have in the affected areas, but it's gonna be rough. And personal lines is going to get absolutely crushed

well if you factor in manpower and manhours lost, then yes.I think a week is most optimsitic to have subways to Brooklyn back, most of which would go through downtown. Believe there is a major transportation electric switching "brain" under 1 centre street which would be in the crosshairs of this thing

You'll be fine... But the derivatives market could take a hit bigger than credit default swaps crashed from bad mortgages.
 
Absolutely disaster movie images going on here. For someone who works in and around NYC, they are as unexpected and visually jarring as 9/11. NOT COMPARING THE INCIDENTS, merely the imagery. To see water FLOWING into the battery tunnel, to see flooding as high as 36th Street, I mean, this is the stuff of movie, the Day After Tomorrow, all that

and not just flowing in. Just saw video showing it coming down the walls inside the tunnel.
 
One of my suppliers "forgot" to ship my order from Massachusetts on Friday so I had it today. No telling when ill get it. :wall:
